Why Are We Still Using Cash ?
BubbleGumYum replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Business and Economy
There are still way too many kinks in cashless setups. Even today I had some major issues with Paypal that I'd never have with cash. -
Men prefer things women prefer people
BubbleGumYum replied to Argus's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
Ya, I see it all the time. The more militant feminists have brainwashed women into believing that unless they work fulltime, traditionally male roles, they're inferior. It's kind of ironic. Feminists using traditional male roles as the standard of success. -
Very nice and relaxing, betsy. Thank you for sharing it.

The Battle of Charlottesville
BubbleGumYum replied to Altai's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
They've been causing havoc for well over a year now. Attacking innocent people with baseball bats, pipes, knives, bear mace, etc., destroying property, shutting down free speech, setting fires. Just earlier today I saw a photo of a "protestor" attacking someone with a homemade blowtorch. They're very violent, immoral people. -
Has accommodation gone too far at universities?
BubbleGumYum replied to Argus's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Yes, absolutely. Today's students aren't just accommodated, they're outright babyfied. It builds very bad character. -
Another terror attack by USA in Spain
BubbleGumYum replied to Altai's topic in The Rest of the World
Come on! Conspiracy theories??? Really? -
I've seen a video of the attacks on Facebook that has literally turned my stomach. My god, it was bad. How can people be so vile and hateful? Barcelona is in my thoughts and prayers.

Anti-Gay, Anti-Abortion Nazi Scheer
BubbleGumYum replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You say anti-abortion like it's a bad thing. Pretty sure all scientifically-literate, moral people recognize the evils of abortion. A decent person will be no less anti-abortion than she is anti-slavery. -
Justin Trudeau: Madonna or Spice Girl?
BubbleGumYum replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Unfortunately, because of his last name, he'll have a very long career in politics. I say unfortunately, because I find him to be lackluster and naive. -
no scientist alive today understands macroevolution
BubbleGumYum replied to betsy's topic in Health, Science and Technology
Microevolution is small-scale change, usually cosmetic in nature. Macroevolution is large-scale change, involving entirely new traits and bodyplans. Microevolution has been known about pretty much since the dawn of man. It's not controversial. When people say "evolution is as proven as gravity," this is what they mean. Macroevolution is still a mystery, as the acclaimed Dr. Tour points out. Anyone who says otherwise is bluffing. -
It seems redundant to me. A simple general conversation forum thread could accomplish the same thing, without the hassle.
