  1. The statistics Canada wide do not deal with the problem of increasing daily assaults, break-ins in businesses, and other daily crimes in cities across B.C. It has been on the news daily. One reason they might not be in the national statistics is because the courts continually release offenders after the police arrest them. They are not being prosecuted and sentenced to prison. That is the problem and they would not be included in the statistics if they are not prosecuted and sentenced. The statistics are not giving the true story of what is going on in B.C. Repeated stabbings and assaults in Vancouver, Victoria, and other towns in B.C. The people are getting tired of the daily reports of these crimes and just voted out Mayor Stewart Kennedy in Vancouver and voted for a tougher on crime mayor, Ken Sims. He plans to hire 100 more police officers and take other measures as required. We will see if this helps Vancouver because it is a real mess now. But he will be fighting an uphill battle if the courts just keep releasing offenders onto the streets and if the BC NDP does not take action to stop the catch and release program. The B.C. NDP is paralyzed and seems unable to deal with it. The opposition party BC Liberal leader says this situation is going to end. Glad we have some politiicians in B.C. who see the problem and are determined to do something about it.
  2. That is a rather simpleton way of trying to smear Creationism or belief in God. Some of the comments sound puerile. "religious leaders have always hated science". Whether that is factual or not, I have no way of knowing. However the point is that proves nothing. I know there are many scientists who believe in God. Professor Phillip Stott, a mathematician who is extremely knowledgeable on Creation versus the theory of evolution and has made presentations in various countries in the world. He understands the mathematical laws of probability and explained how the law of probability indicates that there is not enough time in the universe for a living organism to form by random chances. It simply cannot happen and has never been demonstrated or repeated in a laboratory. If you look at creation.com and read articles and watch videos you should learn there are many scientists who believe in creation and have shown Darwinism or evolution is NOT science. You will learn they do not "hate science". There is a difference between empirical science and false science. Evolution is not science. It is actually an ideology or religion pretending to be science. The Big Bang theory is another dogma which is purely speculation and cannot be claimed as science. Science is something that has been proven by the scientific method, a well-established procedure that demonstrates the truth of a hypothesis or claim. If it can't be proven beyond a doubt in a repeated according to the scientific method, it is not science. Evolution is called a theory for the simple reason it is not proven and is only a theory. Therefore to claim it is "science" is false. Of course things occurred in history such as putting Galileo under house arrest because we don't live in a perfect world. Popes were false religious leaders and not actually leading biblical Christianity. Again because the world is not perfect; as the Bible says all men are fallen or corrupt and must be born again to be forgiven and get on the right path. That is the reason we have wars, crime, evil, sickness, disasters, etc. in the world. So there are people who often do not think logically and clearly. There are many cults in the world too. So what does that prove? I think it is more likely you are saying religious leaders reject science is because some of them reject false teachings like evolution or the big bang. They are smarter than you think. The reject those things that have been proven as false science or are unproven. Things that are unproven and doubtful cannot be claimed to be science. Many ministers likely believe in medicine and medical procedures. All ministers I have ever met over 42 years believe in medicine. There is the odd person who does not believe in vaccination, but that is uncommon. But the Covid vaccine has had it's deniers in the non bible believing world too. In fact there are many of them, even on this forum there are people who are non-Christians who doubt Covid vaccine. So what does it prove. Nothing really, because it all gets back to what I said that the world is an imperfect place with many different views and ideas about things. But there is an absolute truth and that is God's revelation, the Bible and a Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God. He is the only Savior and is the one you should be learning about.
  3. The government continually proves they are totally immoral and incompetent. Just look at the Emergencies Act enquiry which is now finding the government failed at all levels. That's ALL LEVELS.John Ivison: Emergencies Act inquiry uncovers government failure at every level (msn.com)
  4. Puerile comments.
  5. Yes, I was born here, educated here, worked here, and retired here. There is no choice and the rest of the world is roughly the same or mostly worse. But that doesn't stop me or anyone from pointing out the faults of Canada even though liberals don't like to hear it.
  6. The debate seems to be centred around what government is doing or not doing to be inclusive, advance equity, and fight racism. This ideology that government knows all and can do all is a disastrous mistake. The government in Canada is basically a heathen government driven by heathen ideas of liberalism and Marxism. The more society demands from government, the more freedom the people will lose and the more Marxist it will become as it continues to increase it's control over society to impose what it believes as equity, inclusion, and a "just society". We have countless examples of what a disaster that is in Canada. Everything from a failing health care system to a legal system that lets dangerous offenders and murderers back out on the street in an effort to rehabilitate them without regard to the safety of the public.
  7. No, God is not "the man". You have no concept of God. God is absolutely holy and can do no evil. God is omnipotent and evil is anti-God by definition. Unfortunately you don't have the slightest idea of what the term God means. That is a Devilish thing and is why Satan was kicked out of heaven. Satan wanted to be God himself. That is what Satan's rebellion in the world is all about. Why do you want to follow in the footsteps of Satan and oppose God? It makes no sense and is suicidal.
  8. That is true, but discussions between the monarch and the PM in their weekly meetings are always in private without cameras or media. They are only meant to share opinions between the PM and King/Queen. The PM makes the final decision about what direction government will go. I don't think the King can require or order anything in politics.
  9. "Verse 1 Samuel 15:3. Slay both man and woman — Nothing could justify such an exterminating decree but the absolute authority of God. This was given: all the reasons of it we do not know; but this we know well, The Judge of all the earth doth right. This war was not for plunder, for God commanded that all the property as well as all the people should be destroyed." 1 Samuel 15:3 - Verse-by-Verse Bible Commentary - StudyLight.org I don't follow a church leader or take my beliefs from one. The Bible is primary. As I told you before, the Old Testament commands were only meant for Israel several thousand years ago and do not apply to the church today, except for nine of the ten commandments. Church leaders do not want gays to die as punishment.
  10. According to our Constitutional Monarchy/Parliamentary democracy, the King does not have any power in political matters. The government can simply overrule anything the King says or orders and put him in his place. If the King becomes too political he risks creating a crisis between the government and the monarchy.
  11. Canadians should get their act together before they lose their freedom and become a totalitarian state. Turn to Jesus Christ and his word, the Bible, repent, and be born again. Then understand God appointed a monarch as head of state. It is part of the democratic system and helps ensure freedom and democracy. The King is not there by accident and our system developed over a long history of struggles. We don't want to lose it because of uneducated people who don't understand how it works and just want to throw it out for the sake of change.
  12. An organization which defends illegal migrants is protesting at this moment in front of cabinet offices and demanding the government give them official status. Illegal migrants that jumped the queue demand legal recognition and the right to be here presumably so they can receive all the benefits and social services and work status.
  13. " 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV " 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. {rudiments: or, elements} {make a prey: or, seduce you, or, lead you astray} 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Colossians 2:8-10 KJV
  14. quote Some argue that Jesus wasn't an actual man, but within a few decades of his lifetime, he was mentioned by Jewish and Roman historians. further down it says: Historian Flavius Josephus wrote one of the earliest non-biblical accounts of Jesus. The first-century Jewish historian Flavius Josephus, who according to Ehrman “is far and away our best source of information about first-century Palestine,” twice mentions Jesus in Jewish Antiquities, his massive 20-volume history of the Jewish people that was written around 93 A.D. Thought to have been born a few years after the crucifixion of Jesus around 37 A.D., Josephus was a well-connected aristocrat and military leader in Palestine who served as a commander in Galilee during the first Jewish Revolt against Rome between 66 and 70 A.D. Although Josephus was not a follower of Jesus, “he was around when the early church was getting started, so he knew people who had seen and heard Jesus,” Mykytiuk says. In one passage of Jewish Antiquities that recounts an unlawful execution, Josephus identifies the victim, James, as the “brother of Jesus-who-is-called-Messiah.” While few scholars doubt the short account’s authenticity, says Mykytiuk, more debate surrounds Josephus’s lengthier passage about Jesus, known as the “Testimonium Flavianum,” which describes a man “who did surprising deeds” and was condemned to be crucified by Pilate. Mykytiuk agrees with most scholars that Christian scribes modified portions of the passage but did not insert it wholesale into the text. unquote The Bible Says Jesus Was Real. What Other Proof Exists? - HISTORY Did Jesus really exist? Is there any historical evidence of Jesus Christ? | GotQuestions.org Did Jesus of Nazareth actually exist? The evidence says yes | OpenMind (bbvaopenmind.com) Did Jesus Exist? Searching for Evidence Beyond the Bible - Biblical Archaeology Society You said: "As for “ how do you explain a universe without a creator”. Well how do you explain a creator without another creator creating him??? It’s the same question and answer: it just came into being. In the beginning there was nothing. Probably for an infinite amount of eternity there was nothing. Then at some point there was something. End of story." Sorry but there is no logic there at all. The simple fact that any reasoning scientist or individual will tell you is: Every effect (the universe) has a cause. That is simple, basic logic that any thinking person could understand. Nothing does not produce something. Everything that exists had to have a cause for it's existence. You say how do you explain a creator without another creator? The answer to your question is according to the Bible God is not a material or created part of the universe. God is a supernatural being separate and apart from the universe. He is a spirit. God is omnipotent (all powerful), omni-present (present everywhere), and omniscient (all knowing), and he is eternal. So God did not need another Creator because he always existed. The universe is extremely complex. This complexity required an infinitely powerful, intelligent designer. It could not have happened by itself. First, something does not appear from nothing. This is where God used his supernatural power to create something from nothing. That is what the Bible says in Genesis. The first sentence in the Bible says: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1 KJV The first chapter of the Bible demonstrates God's supernatural ability and character. It is evident this revelation came from God, not from man's invention, just as the rest of the Bible demonstrates it is from God by it's character. The alternative is Darwin's Universe, From Nothing, By Nothing, For Nothing - Survival for Nothing as the book is titled by Yan T. Wee. If God did not create the universe and mankind, then we must all be just an accident of the cosmos, a meaningless blob. Our minds must be just a chemical reaction with no meaning. This is completely illogical, irrational, and demoting man to just another animal and accident of the chemicals. There is no purpose to existence in that case. That is a defeating, hopeless existence. Depressing and demoralizing. It is not what the Bible says. The Bible says God created man in his own image. Man has a purpose for being and has a soul and spirit.
  15. Another thing I noticed is that the command in Genesis 9:6 (capital punishment for murder) was given to all mankind at the time in biblical history when human government began. This was before Israel was created or began through Abraham in Genesis ch12. This would seem to mean God gave this punishment to human government in general as a kind of universal punishment. This is considered the third dispensation called Human Government according to dispensational theology or interpretation of the Bible. We are still living under human governments.
  16. Certain Old Testament commands or regulations only applied to Israel at that time in history and don't apply to Christians in the church age during the past 2,000 years. Things like the death penalty for being gay or being a witch don't apply today. I would doubt the death penalty can be used for anything other than murder according to the Bible. The sanctity of life is biblical. Other things that are restated in one way or another in the New Testament epistles which are directed to the church apply today. Genesis 9:6 (the death penalty for murder) seems to be supported by Romans 13 in the New Testament which says authorities bear the sword not in vain for evil doers. Since murderers have taken a human life, it seems to me that the death penalty would be a punishment valid for all ages. How else does one stop a murderer from repeating that kind of crime and how can society be protected? The alternative would be to lock him up and have the taxpayers pay perhaps $100,000 per year or more to support him. Then if he is imprisoned, there is no guarantee that he will not try to kill a guard or another prisoner or escape. With weak soft-on-crime governments, he could be released into society. This has already proven to be deadly as some of them have gone on to commit murder again. The idea that the rehabilitation of a murderer should take precedence over the protection of society is bizarre but that is a liberal left ideology which has resulted in disastrous consequences. It is not even clear that a murderer can be rehabilitated, but the attempt to do that should not come at the risk or expense of society.
  17. I saw a young FN guy swaggering and stumbling around today and wondered why this kind of public behavior should be legal? Seems to me the progressive lefties and red power activists are always whining about systemic racism and if the police arrest a drunk or drug addict for being intoxicated on the street, the police and authorities will be accused of "systemic racism".
  18. Why do the courts in Toronto release so many people charged with gun offences in the GTA? There were about 300 people out on bail not long ago. Is it perhaps not to appear to be systematically racist by locking up so many at one time? I forgot it's a "social problem" caused by lack of housing, jobs, education, blah blah blah.
  19. The federal government through the CRTC approved a porn channel and prohibited Christian channels or heavily limits and controls them and forces them to broadcast all the heathen religions on their channel, citing all the wars in history involving religion as the reason for denying a purely Christian channel. However, they totally neglect the fact that the people fighting in religious wars were not following the Bible and teachings of Jesus who opposed wars. He said turn the other cheek. But ignorant people always blame Christianity even if the Bible opposes religious wars that are fought purely for the sake of religion. Also of course a nation always has the right to defend itself against aggressors as in WW1 and WW2. So far they have not allowed child porn or bestiality on the airwaves, but with the lack of morals in this country and with the political leadership, who knows what is coming down the road. The philosophy seems to be if it doesn't effect anyone else directly, it should be permitted. That is why they allowed a porn channel, assisted suicide, abortion, etc. Abortion does affect someone else, the unborn baby. Perhaps all this virtue signaling about systemic racism is a diversion to take the attention off all the immorality in government laws and policies.
  20. " 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." Romans 13:3-4 KJV Then back to the Old Testament, "6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." Genesis 9:6 KJV That covers capital punishment for murderers. From Romans 13 we learn that God has given the authorities the right to bear the sword against evil doers. But by law the police can only use their guns to defend themselves or apprehend dangerous criminals. This is in accordance with Romans 13. I see self defence to protect one's life from evil doers as proper and in accord with the spirit of these verses. Often one verse in the Bible such as "thou shalt not kill" must be understood in light of the whole Bible.
  21. A man was just released today after assaulting a woman on Sept. 27 with a pipe, even though he has 30 convictions including many assault convictions. Incredible. This is an almost daily occurrence. When will the government and legal system act to protect the citizens? I would not feel safe in Vancouver or many other cities.
  22. I don't believe Canada is systematically racist, but I do believe that Canada is officially biased against Christian broadcasting in Canada. One proof of this is the CRTC, the federal government's bureaucracy that regulates broadcasting in Canada. This is what the CRTC said: " In 1993, after the CRTC decided to loosen some regulations having to do with faith-based broadcasting, a number of commissioners expressed their disagreement with the decision. “We are disturbed by the extent of social, cultural, and racial intolerance which is often rooted in religious intolerance,” said the dissenting commissioners. “One need only look to Bosnia, the Middle East, India, Northern Ireland, South Africa and other world ‘trouble spots’ to observe this phenomenon in its most violent form. Such cultural and racial intolerance is less dramatic and violent, but no less real, in Canada.” On the other hand, when the CRTC approved the pornography channel Northern Peaks last month, the Citizen reported that they defended the choice by insisting that they do not take a moral perspective on the programming contents in review. The CRTC allowed the program on the basis that 50 percent of its content be produced in Canada, effectively sponsoring a Canadian pornography industry." CRTC Nixes Christian Radio Proposals, Supports Porn TV - LifeSite (lifesitenews.com) So on the one hand the CRTC says that when they approved a porn channel, they say they do not make moral judgments; but on the other hand they make moral judgments by not allowing Christian channels which do not fit in with their view (moral view) that Christianity is the cause of the trouble and violence in the world.
  23. If you want to see one of the serious consequences of multiculturalism policy in Canada, you need only look at how the CRTC governs the licencing for television and radio stations in Canada. " The CRTC’s recent approval of an Alberta-based pornographic cable channel was cited by critics who believe the commission is biased against Christians, though there were hundreds of available cable slots in comparison to the two open radio channels. Don Hutchison, director of law and public policy for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, said the cable channel’s approval was “quite offensive.” "The CRTC has, for the past 15 years, sent a strong message they don't like Christian broadcasting, but they will allow it with heavy restrictions," he claimed. “It's really getting tough to be a Christian in a country that was founded on Christian values,” charged David MacDonald, an Ottawan who once had his own Christian radio program. De Bray knew his proposal would face difficulties because of CRTC regulations requiring balance for religious broadcasters, the Ottawa Citizen reports. The rules require that a Christian station’s talk programs must be countered by discussions of other faiths. The CHRI proposal would have included about 71 minutes of programming for other faiths, particularly Judaism. The CRTC has reportedly eased some of its requirements for specialty cable channels on religious programming, but some dissenting commissioners opposed the decision on the stated grounds that “religious intolerance” foments other forms of intolerance in worldwide conflict zones. "We are disturbed by the extent of social, cultural, and racial intolerance which is often rooted in religious intolerance," they asserted. "One need only look to Bosnia, the Middle East, India, Northern Ireland, South Africa and other world 'trouble spots' to observe this phenomenon in its most violent form. Such cultural and racial intolerance is less dramatic and violent, but no less real, in Canada." Canadian broadcasting commission accused of bias against new Christian stations | Catholic News Agency Christian oriented faith stations will be relegated or banned from the airwaves simply because they do not fit in with the government's (CRTC) multicultural ideology that all religions are equal. They completely reject our Judeo-Christian heritage and instead have created their own brand of Marxist ideology where every heathen religion is of equal importance on the Canadian broadcast system. This contributes to the further destruction of our western based culture and society and is turning Canada into some kind of mixed cesspool of third world culture and religions. It is Judeo-Christian heritage that brought us democracy, human rights, and respect for the rule of law as we traditionally have known it.
  24. Canadian broadcasting is heavily biased to the liberal point of view. The CRTC is a big part of the problem. They are heavily biased against social conservatives or Christian broadcasting. quote Canadian broadcasting commission accused of bias against new Christian stations | Catholic News Agency The CRTC’s recent approval of an Alberta-based pornographic cable channel was cited by critics who believe the commission is biased against Christians, though there were hundreds of available cable slots in comparison to the two open radio channels. "One need only look to Bosnia, the Middle East, India, Northern Ireland, South Africa and other world 'trouble spots' to observe this phenomenon in its most violent form. Such cultural and racial intolerance is less dramatic and violent, but no less real, in Canada." I see this is part of the wider result of multiculturalism which resulted in the liberal appointed CRTC trying to equate all religions as equal. In order to give equal weight to all religions, they believe they must relegate Christianity to the back row or in effect relegate or destroy our Judeo-Christian culture upon which Canada is built on. I don't see anything good that could come from this kind of Marxist (equality for all) ideology. Western culture has more freedom, human rights, democracy and respect for the rule of law than any other place in the world. Their notion of opposing "religious intolerance" really means banning Christianity from the broadcasting system entirely and only allowing heathen religions to spread their false messages. This is entirely unacceptable in a country that claims to be democratic and a defender of western values.
  25. If you don't understand that governments are responsible for law and order and protecting the public, you have a serious problem.
