Why wasn't this great scientific body, NIST, able to formulate their own hypothesis and use their great scientific expertise to explain the collapses? The Bazant paper has been refuted by a later paper, which showed that Bazant used fraudulent numbers to justify the silly notion that airplanes and jet fuel fires caused the collapses.
