We are in the Religion & Politics section, although I guess Sharia law is more appropriate for this specific topic. Are you arguing for Sharia law?
-
Yes, good advice. Get your head out of the Old Testament, and understand where justice is today. I agree that it is an extremely flawed system, but it is about a hundred trillion times better than the Old Testament.
-
Who said that? The Russians may prefer Trump to Clinton for whatever reasons, but saying they are doing it for Trump is a big stretch. Perhaps, just like the CIA, they are more interested in creating unrest and Trump certainly does that.
-
Protecting the integrity of the justice system is a national value. There is absolutely nothing in this ruling that has the slightest to do with defending children, that is pure sensationalism. On all 3 counts, Putin is a liar and sensationalist.
-
Not sure where you got that part of the story. Having a preference does not require collusion. Sure some people may want to imply a collusion, but that is a small minority.

Environmental activists costing Canada billions
?Impact replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There you go, solved all the worlds problems. Time to send 5.5 billion people to the gas chamber and the productive chosen will remain. -
First one has to understand the ruling before expressing an opinion on it. You said you are starting to love Putin and quoted his lies, now you seem to be back peddling but not admitting what you earlier claimed. You call the judge a moron, but obviously have zero comprehension of maintaining integrity of law. The law is not about emotion, yet you let your emotion be your only guide. We need to have clear and defensible judgements, or else the law becomes meaningless. A bad judgement will weaken the law, and weaken this case as well. You might feel for justice, but that will destroy civilization. Understand the meaning of blind justice, that concept has been around for centuries and is crucial.
-
There has been zero defending of the ruling of the judge, just exposure of the lie that Putin told and the stooges accept. This is not about the ruling of the judge, it is about the 100% complete fabrication that the accused was released. The terms fools and idiots applies to those that cannot accept the truth and have to resort to lies to fabricate a completely different story.
-
Even the sensationalist NY post tabloid to which you linked admits the guy was not released. That is the substance that is quite lost on you. You prefer to make believe instead of looking at the truth. The true evil in this world is those that lie, and lie again.
-
Non-Liberal resort to lies and fabrication to prove a point, which of course makes it 100% meaningless. I repeat, the truth is the man was not release as Putin lied and gullible stooges believed him. The world is not black and white, but they lying non-Liberals want you believe it is because then they can resort to changing it to fit their own sick, twisted, demented form. Again the man was not released - period. That is an undeniable fact.
-
Let us not forget one of the most historic instances of fake news. It was broadcast on the CBS radio network on October 30th, 1938.
-
I guess because truth means nothing to you, only sensationalism. The court did not release the man, despite Putin saying they did. That is a 100% lie, pure fabrication brought to you by the like of Alex Jones another compulsive liar.

Will Canada ever become the 51st State of America?
?Impact replied to McQuaid's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Certainly there is a trade off in resolution, but I am referring to the cumulative error problem with dead reckoning. Even the best INS systems suffer from the problem, and they of course would need an accurate timepiece to operate anyway. Without accurate time, you are quickly lost. No effective navigation system works without time. Anybody who talks about using dead reckoning only is not telling you the whole story, they are hoping to find a landmark to get a new fix. Charles Lindbergh is a good example, while he did carry a timepiece his navigation was through dead reckoning and not very accurate. He used landmarks, even fishing vessels to help him guess where he was. In fact he tried to ask the crew of a fishing vessel where he was, cutting his engine to lower noise and shouting where is Ireland (unsuccessfully). Upon stumbling onto the coast, he looked for landmarks finally recognizing Cape Valencia and Dingle Bay to get a new fix and resume a compass course. Most of the rest of his flight however was visual. -

Again the refusal to look at her entire life, but focus on one small event and dismiss the total person. Of course she is a black lady, so obviously the entirety of her life can be so easily dismissed. -
No, they use those terms to accurately describe the racists and deniers out there. The world is fairly clear cut, but there are people that hide behind "free speech" to spread hatred and falsehoods and they should be exposed. It is simply free speech to expose them.

A knot is not the same thing as a nautical mile. A knot is a unit of speed measurement and a nautical mile is a unit of distance. A knot is the equivalent of one nautical mile per hour. A knot however is not a measurement of groundspeed, but rather airspeed or speed through water. If the air or water is still then yes it would be equivalent to groundspeed, often the speed of the fluid is also measured so that a groundspeed can be calculated - what is known as velocity made good. Modern technology (gyroscope, GPS, etc.) has allowed the direct calculation of groundspeed so that is often used for navigation purposes. Yes, modern aviators and mariners will also express groundspeed in knots for consistency. The speed through the fluid however is very important because it directly affects how the vessel handles. The airspeed is what is important for lift, not groundspeed. The speed through the water directly relates to how the hull performs. -

not A knot is a unit of speed measurement. It's original definition was based on counting the number of 'knots' tied into a spool of cord that unwound after a 'chip log' (essentially a standardized block of wood) to which it was attached was thrown overboard during a specified period of time usually based on the sand in an hourglass. The knots were usually tied 8 fathoms (48') apart, and the 'hourglass' usually counted either 14 or 28 seconds. While the definition of the unit was modernized, it is still a unit of speed and not distance. It is applicable to both marine and air travel because they both move through a fluid (water or air). It is not an absolute speed, but rather a speed relative to the fluid in which you travel. You cover far less distance flying into a headwind than you do flying with a tailwind even though your speed measured in knots is exactly the same. -
Historically fascist states have allowed significant private business interests to thrive. As long as those business interests served the the goals of the state, they would be allowed to grow and would be promoted by the state through lucrative tax incentives, acquisition of services, and even direct investment. There is no incompatibility between private education and a fascist state, in fact it would grow and thrive in a fascist state. Corporatism was a significant part of early 20th century fascist states, with strong domestic mega corporations emerging. It was international investment and trade that was discouraged, with protectionist measures put in place to build strong domestic corporations. Trump's economic policies are very much in-line with previous fascist states.

Obviously you have zero understanding of flatbed scanner technology. You are aware are you not that there is not a single sensor array that spans the width of the document, but several. That artifact is generated by stitching those sensor arrays into a single wide image. If you understood semiconductor manufacturing, you would know that creating a single wide sensor array would be very difficult technically and extremely costly. Put down you conspiracy theory books, and start learning about technology. -

New evidence about Obama birth certicate

Based on what evidence? The former sheriff talks about stuff he has absolutely no knowledge. He talks about kerning, saying it didn't occur before computers but that is 100% false. In fact the term kern comes from metal type, it referred to the part of the letter that overhangs beyond the block edge itself. While in this case we are talking about typewriters and not movable type, the fact is that IBM typewriters were doing proportional typing as early as 1941 with the model 04, long before Obama was born. Anybody who grew up using typewrites also knows that it was common to manually position a page when making corrections so even without proportional type, overlap in the letter spacing was not uncommon. Sheriff dingbat Joe compares the type on Obama's birth certificate with a woman born in the same hospital a couple of weeks later. The similarities of the type have him conclude that Obama's is a fake. The simple explanation that perhaps the same typewriter was used in both cases seems to escape his single brain cell. -

Yes, it is tinfoil stuff from 2008 when Foxnews interviewed someone who went to Columbia but was in a different year than Obama and couldn't remember him therefore they concluded he didn't go. That was long ago disproved when many others came forward. -

There are many plans in place, I suggest you consult the defense acquisition guide for details. There is a new version that is due out in a couple of months that will really reflect the changes of recently completed defense policy review.
