  1. NASA relies on Canadian units of measure as demonstrated in the recent Space|X launch. Will Trump demand that NASA use miles and mph? I am sure his base will get behind that initiative.

      Yes, I would like to see Canada increase its public funding of science in general including space. I don't think however rocketry is something we need to invest heavily in. There are a few commercial companies already, and how long before China and India start offering space taxi services as well. Building a space telescope and subcontracting out the transportation would be a far better investment for example. I'm not all that keen on Canada getting into the spy satellite business, so I don't think we need to worry about having the launches take place elsewhere.

      Then Canadians who want careers in space programs will continue to leave for countries that do.  Canada will be left behind.
