  1. Heart disease kills three times as many Canadians each year than covid.  Anyone that’s at risk of heart disease is at a very high risk from covid.  The two go hand in hand.  That’s why even during this pandemic, actual deaths have only been marginally higher than expected deaths.

There have also been lots of younger people who died from Covid and others who suffer from long term medical problems.  But who cares?  Why bother protecting the elderly or anyone else?

There haven’t been lots, whatever lots qualifies as.  Regardless, younger people die from the flu every year, but it just doesn’t make the news.    I’m for anyone that wants the vaccine to get it.  I’m for vaccinating the elderly and high risk.  I’m not for vaccinating children.  The mortality rate for covid in children is lower than the flu.  Stop ignoring the science.  Stop using emotion rather than logic and reason.

With all the Covid deniers, anti-maskers, anti-mandate people, I can see why we need government regulations and enforcement.  Sadly a prominent well-known Covid denier in the Vancouver area recently died likely of Covid, although he denied it up to the end.  There have been lots of anti-mandate and Covid deniers who were converted on their death bed and admitted they were wrong.  There have also been other deniers who went to their grave denying Covid and opposing mandates.  A strange world we live in.  The large number of deniers does go to prove why we need government and health authorities intervention.  Without them far more of us would be dead.  It would be like the black plague in Europe in the middle ages that killed 1/3 or 1/2 of Europe.  There was no health authority or government with the knowledge to do anything about it.

Complete and utter nonsense.  The plague was far deadlier.  Covid has a survival rate of 99.5+ per cent.  It's almost exclusively deadly to older people with comorbidities.  That's why the average age of a covid death in Ontario is 83.

Stop this wining "killing jobs" nonsense!

It is called business transformation.  Those 4,500 loggers better start getting training classes to become electric vehicle manufacturers.

What is 4,500 jobs compared to the 400,000 jobless immigrants imported EVERY year?   One small drop in the bucket.

Why don't all of you go hide where the sun don't shine, together with Michael Hardner .?

What does that have to do with what I posted?

Because you’re essentially complaining about freedom.  Yep, people have freedom to encourage, discourage and celebrate all kinds of things.  Some good, some bad.  Their society is inherently good, and just and moral.  Besides, mortality in subjective anyways.  Many consider the proponents of policies like abortion to be a moral sickness.  I tend to agree.  That type of sickness exists in Canada, probably on a greater level.

    1. I don't put Canada or the UK or Australia or NZ or Europe far from the US in terms of 'core problem'.  It's about a society that engineers utter flattery for its citizens, regardless of politics, and discourages excellence and self-improvement.  You can see it in the celebration of victimhood as well as the celebration of brute ignorance.  It's a moral sickness.
    2. I would say "little" bearing and agree on the 2nd point.

It’s the freest most prosperous country to ever exist.  The states created the federal government, not the other way around.

If your going to gamble on either choice I'd play the odds and get them vaccinated if they are not allergic or have any other health conditions.

    Next stop Rama!!!?

No, it’s the other way around.  Children are at greater risk from the flu.  There’s no need to mandate children be vaccinated from covid.  In fact, the risk from things like heart inflammation are higher than from covid.

Hard to do this without border controls. For example, Democrat controlled states impose some gun control while Republican states have almost none. This makes it difficult for the Democrat states to keep weapons, including automatic weapons out of their states.

There is also the problem in America that the more rural states with lower populations have a disproportionate amount of impact at the federal level. This is a known feature of the US constitution, but it doesn't work as well when the two populations - rural wester/southern and urban north and west, despise each other because they're operating from entirely different information sources.

That’s a common misconception.  Even states that value the 2nd amendment have a litany of gun laws.

Return to the origin of your Constitution: State's Right.

Ultimately, this is how Canada has remained united. Quebec's sovereignty is respected. And this explains the collapse of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and the catastrophic start of the Great War of 1914.

    My advice to Americans:

Let each State decide how to apply the various regulations/laws that progressive Democrats seem to want to apply to all Americans.

Exactly.  For some reason Democrats in Washington are hell bent on insisting Texas be like California.

News story from BC:  Mak Parhar, a flat-earther and Covid-denier, died yesterday.  He was feeling sick with Covid symptoms, but said it wasn't Covid because Covid doesn't exist.  Nonetheless, he took Ivermectin - which begs the question, why would a person who doesn't believe in Covid take a medication that is touted as a cure for Covid?

Anyway, his death will be investigated by a coroner to determine if he died from Covid, Ivermectin, or something else entirely.

I suppose, in the spirit in which anti-vaxers dismiss the death of seniors "because they're old and were going to die anyway", I could dismiss Parhar's death because "he was clearly an idiot and too stupid to live."

I agree.  It should be up to individuals as to whether they wish to get vaccinated.  If they choose not to, there could be consequences.  That’s the way it should always be.  That goes for people who decide to drop out of school, so drugs, smoke or eat them selves into obesity.

  11. As it turns out, every single person that pushed the Steele Dossier as facts, was pushing Russian disinformation.  Congratulations. ?

The main source of the Steele Dossier was arrested and indicted today by the Biden Justice Department   Anyone who believed this bull plop is an utter fool, used like a puppet by the mainstream media.  You people know who you are.  Perhaps it’s time to do a little soul searching and some understanding of confirmation bias.

@Michael HardnerYou wouldn't run out of examples of allegations of sexual mpropriety in the Democrat party either if you bothered to look, but you don't, so stop trying to defend the indefensible by switching the topic.

We're talking about the FACT that the Lincoln Project is a bunch of racially divisive, election-cheating scum with no redeeming qualities. And, FWIW, an actual pedophile.

They think that a single allegation from a 35 yr old woman about some kissing that may have happened 20 years ago is good reason to publicly smear a man's name, but they don't care that Cuomo forced C19-positve people into care homes. You don't either.

Your priorities are a pathetic jumble of hurt feelings and baseless allegations, and you ignore mass murder. Weird? Evil? Bizarre? I don't know what to say about you guys.

You literally never run out of these examples once you look.  This is why The Lincoln Project is opposed to these moral deviants taking power:

Why don’t you care about Democrats doing the same thing?  Regardless, this has nothing to do with the topic of the false flag operation.  And you never answered as to why Youngkin deserved to be targeted by these lowlifes.  Delete your account.

Ok, I missed that the system as a whole needs them.  Different than the nurse situation, I see.

We’re expanding our population at a far greater pace than the ability of gut health care system to produce enough doctors and nurses to compensate.   The ratio of patients per doctors and patients per nurses is growing exponentially.  But the endless unlimited immigration crowd don’t care.  They don’t care about the impact on housing, on the environment, on education, on anything.

Well guess what? Paying South of $15/hour is also a major culprit in the labour shortage seen in the service sector.

Ok.  So what?  Businesses are free to offer more to attract workers if they need to.  But they shouldn’t be forced.  Not during an ongoing pandemic when businesses are still operating under some restrictions.  Not every business is Costco or Amazon.  Actually most aren’t.  Most are small businesses.  Basing economic policy on the assumption that every businesses is some big corporation is illogical and destructive.  All you’re doing is continuing policy that’s been a boon to the rich and powerful and a albatross to small and medium sized businesses.  Stop it.  Stop hating the middle class with your ridiculous policies.
