America under President Trump
WestCanMan replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
OK, so you completely edited your post after I responded to it, kudos for realizing how pitiful it was. Sadly, this is just another shallow, empty accusation where you failed to have good reason to disagree with what I said. FYI Barack Obama FULLY supported protests against the police, he FULLY supported anthem-kneeling, and even during the worst periods of violence during his Presidency he never spoke out against rioting, looting, arson, violence and racial division. He never commented on the criminal nature of BLM or how they were selectively editing video to drum up hatred and fear of police. He even fanned the flames of racism with comments like: "I can't help but notice that Trayvon looks like me.... etc" Just in case you don't know how the English language works, let me explain to you the entire meaning of the above sentence. "If that was me when I was younger, and I was obeying the law and being respectful, I never could have survived a walk down that street because Zimmerman was a white-supremacist Mexican-American and he was looking for a black kid to kill, like a lot of other cops. Trayvon was black, and that's the only reason he was killed." The notion that Trayvon's skin colour was the only or the main reason for his death was completely farcical conjecture and Barack Obama's comment was entirely divisive and shameful. Period. Given the amount of thought that Obama puts into being clear and concise, there's no reason to believe that he wasn't actually trying to fear monger when he said that. Do you like stats camper? Did you know that BLM actually had a chance to patrol American streets for 3 weeks, thereby ensuring the safety of African-Americans in a 7-block area of Seattle, referred to as CHAZ? Yep. BLM police controlled 7 blocks of sovereign US soil for 3 weeks and they only killed one black child. Think for a second about the fact that there are about 30,000 times as many police officers working across America as there were Chazis, and in just 3 weeks they managed to kill a kid and then clear the crime scene of evidence. In order for the "regular, racist American cops" to keep pace with the Chazis, they'd have to kill 30,000 black kids every 3 weeks. Lets pretend that there are only 10,000 times as many "normal, racist cops" as Chazis. They'd still have to kill 10,000 black kids every 3 weeks to keep pace with the Chazis. That would be 170,000 black kids that they'd have to kill. And don't forget that they'd also be destroying all the evidence on those scenes as well, just to be on par with the Chazis. Quick Camper, what's the name of the 16 yr old black kid that was killed by the CHOP Gestapo? What was the name of his 14 year old friend who was critically injured? Can you find some video of Anderson Cooper saying those names? Or Don Lemon? Or anyone on CNN? Just find me one video where CNN showed their faces and named their names Camper. One video. Honestly, they were children, killed by police, and the evidence of what happened was removed from the crime scene. If cops in Tulsa or Podunk did that, you'd know their names little man. You'd still be seeing them every day. Toodle off now. -

So you disagree with this? You don't think that Obama fully supported anthem-kneeling, and you don't think that Obama played devil's advocate for people who murdered police? There was literally no place for this attempt to rationalize the murder of these cops, at their funerals, period. The whole tone of his speech should have been "a heinous lowlife murdered 5 people who dedicated their lives to standing in harm's way to protect and serve Americans." Full stop. If you are killed, do you want Barack Obama bringing up some past history from your race or religion that you despised, and using it as partial justification for your murder? "Well, camper was a ________ and you know that some people still really resent the ________s for what their ancestors did. These kinds of murders are just going to happen from time. It's partly justified." -

Wrong. Again, you're just spewing a CNN narrative as if there's some factual basis for it. The American members of the US military actually have no reason to dislike Trump, and the vast majority actually do support him. I'll give you credit, you probably know more about feeling shame than most, but there's nothing to be ashamed of with Trump's record as POTUS. Shameful would be supporting a disgrace of a President like Obama, who literally turned his back on the police and made it cool to disrespect of the American flag. -

LMAO. This is the first time that I've ever heard that reason for Americans travelling with a US flag. America has a bad rep for being foreign policy bullies and that's all. As a former member of Canada's military I can assure you that members of our military share an extreme trust and respect for America's military, period. Your sentiments are childish and divisive. -

OK campy, let's go then. You cite some lies/fake news reported by Fox and I'll recite the laundry list of CNN lies. SNC Lavalin is actually pertinent here, because you brought up Canada's opinion of Trump and I correctly stated how completely biased and worthless our MSM is. If CBC and CTV are worthwhile news channels then you should be aware of "crimes that SNC Lavalin committed which would be of great interest to Canadians, from before the DPA law was passed?" It should be a really easy answer for you. The reason that you don't know is because they have Trudeau's back, through all of his crimes agains Canadians. -

All of your stories are twisted and idiotic. America's traditional friends are still allies, and the whole world has benefitted from Trump's Presidency. People like Trudeau, who are traitors to their own country might not like Trump, that's actually a proof that he's a decent person. Like it or not, the Kurds do have an actual history of terrorist attacks in Turkey, and Trump opted to let Turkey reclaim a buffer zone. The window of opportunity for Turkey to take actions against the Kurds ended a long time ago and there's no genocide pending, at least until the Dems get back in and world leaders are no longer afraid to act out their most evil intentions. FYI China's violations against human rights within their country didn't start in 2016. LMAO Camper, you're just woefully ignorant of world history. America is anything but weak right now, Obama was weak. Russian invaded a European country while Obama was POTUS and all he did was pee his pants a little. Russia has ALWAYS interfered in foreign elections, and they've always had extremely high-handed involvement in politics in that region. How many US soldiers died under Trump's presidency Camper? Compare that number to that of any other POTUS of the last 100 years and you'll understand why Trump is beloved by members of his military. Look at the recent successes of terrorist groups, and the longevity of their leaders, and tell me how Trump's Presidency was weak....... You're spewing CNN idiocy dude. Think for yourself, or look for some news sources with a history of accuracy. CNN has lied about everything over the past 4 years. Book it. All of their little toadies here scatter like flies when they're asked to vouch for CNN's record. It's a joke. -

CTV and CBC are pure alt-left garbage. Canadians don't have access to the truth, at all, unless they bother to look for it themselves. Are you Canadian Massad? Can you tell me about any crimes that SNC Lavalin committed which would be of great interest to Canadians, from before the DPA law was passed? -

Jim MacDougall was convicted on 18 counts of felony fraud and conspiracy charges. His wife went to prison for refusing to testify against the Clintons. The Clintons were their business partners. The Clintons "lost all their emails", I mean, "papers". Weird how that always happens. Hillary has also suffered two bouts of amnesia in her lifetime, both times when she was testifying in court. You're comparing the investigation of actual and very serious crimes with the Loch Ness Monster investigation. -

Boohoo. That's not actually the story of a Republican who turned Democrat, it's a rehash of all CNN's fake news. More accurately, it's the story of a complete moron who doesn't know when they're being lied to. -

America under President Trump
WestCanMan replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The difference here being that there were actual crimes committed in the Whitewater land deal, and actual American citizens named the Clintons as being involved criminally, while under oath. "Evidence" against Trump includes some Russian-made stories, Hillary lies, an astounding amount of FBI malfeasance, and nothing at all of actual value to investigators of an actual crime. All of the evidence that ever turned up in Trump-Russia collusion was exculpatory, or proved crimes committed by the FBI. The FBI named their fall guy. Apparently it's all on Kevin Clinesmith lol: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/kevin-clinesmith-fbi-pleads-guilty/2020/08/19/6c0dec54-e0a0-11ea-8dd2-d07812bf00f7_story.html -

1) Where's the cite for this allegation of Trump lining his pockets? 2) https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/trudeau-government-contributed-1-18-million-to-we-day-event-in-2017-during-which-pms-mother-was-likely-paid-to-speak Trudeau ASKED WE to host an event Trudeau GAVE WE GOV'T CASH to host that event. Some of THAT MONEY WENT TO TRUDEAU'S MOM. That's pretty linear. It wasn't an event that We was hosting themselves, Trudeau solicited them to do it. "Hey here's $1.18M to host an event that my mom will get paid to speak at." This wasn't a value for money proposition. Canadians didn't get anything out of this. Trudeau just found a way to get his mom some money. We was nothing more than a gravy train for Liberals and their family members. Again, your ignorance is appalling. -

I get that you feel that way because you don't have all the info, but it's not my fault that you choose to remain ignorant. FYI there was no crime committed, there was nothing to obstruct, and the Trump team allowed themselves to be subjected to hundreds of interrogations and they submitted millions of pages of documents. Plus they were spied on. They were more than accommodating, especially when the whole RC farce was just the Dems' third instance of cheating during the 2016 election (3rd proven instance, there were probably many more). -

What a ridiculously ignorant and revisionist telling of history beaver. Just because groups existed doesn't mean that they were at the forefront of daily life. There weren't riots all across America during that span of time. There were communists in America that whole time too, but somehow the US was part of NATO. Not shadowy forces. Dem AG Keith Ellison knew that the police body cam footage was highly damaging to the GFloyd riots, and he kept it under lock and key for months while America burned. It just got out because it was leaked in Britain, or we still wouldn't have seen it. -

Regardless of your dislike of Dubya, the rise of islamic state is all on Obama's shoulders. Iraq was on a trajectory, and a massive genocide wasn't part of it in 2008. No one said that an instant pullout, while leaving a pile of weapons behind, was the way to go. Obama was the one who left a power vacuum in Iraq and then dismissed islamic state as a Jr Varsity terrorist squad. Syria wasn't on course for a genocide or massive widespread destruction in 2008, at all. You seem to think that Obama was powerless to right the ship, but Trump inherited a mess that was orders of magnitude larger than Obama was handed, and Trump tidied up like Martha Stewart. Killing police officers as a political statement meets the exact definition of a terrorist attack beaver. You have access to a dictionary online, maybe you should use that before you shove your foot in your mouth next time. FYI you just don't call it terrorism because you approve of it. No one calls their own side 'terrorists'. They use words like martyrs or heroes or activists. -

1) ...... “under the VP/POTUS Seal”. IE, Trump didn’t use the WH as a tool to line his own pockets. 2) There was at least one occasion where Trudeau asked We to hold a ‘charitable event’, gave them over $1M taxpayer dollars, and his mom ended up speaking. That’s $CDN—>We—>Margaret Trudeau. -

LMAO. You're still at the very steep end of the learning curve re: the Russian collusion investigation. I can't even be bothered getting you to square 1. Lol. Not even CNN is spewing your drivel, and up 'til now I thought that they were the worst. You're next-level crazy. -

Great comment. We were all wondering what your emotional reaction was going to be. Just kidding. I don't give a rip how butthurt you are. Wars that were both entirely 'civilized' compared to the barbaric slaughter that occurred in Syria and Iraq, and one is still going on. There's literally no comparison whatsoever between '08 and '16. Islamic state was the ugliest blight on humanity since the 40's/50's. The situation in Iraq wasn't deteriorating when Obama took over. It was just the same old crap. There was definitely a need for improvement, but it did the exact opposite. The situation that Obama left behind in Iraq & Syria in 2016 was apocalyptic. The situation was a 3.5/10 when he came in and a 0.0000/10 when he left. Are you honestly trying to say that the 2008 ME was as bad as the 2016 ME? You need a history book pal. Just look at all the terrorist attacks that happened in America when Obama was POTUS. It's almost eerily quiet now by comparison. The only terrorists that are active in the US now are the ones that are endorsed by the Democrat party - Antifa and BLM. Obama and Trump both improved the economy. Neither one gets a failing grade. I'm not complaining about Obama's economy at all. This is just OT as far as our discussion is concerned. Obama gets an enormous F on the domestic relations front. He inherited an America that was focused on sports and entertainment in it's spare time. 2015 America was watching the news and everyone was bitching at anyone and everyone else. The country was completely divided among racial and political lines to an extent that I have never experienced in my lifetime, and I'm over 50. I don't remember Ford's presidency, but Jimmy Carter's America wasn't characterized by racial disharmony and hatred of police. Ditto for Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush. Between 2008 and 2016 America dialled back race relations to 1870. In 2017 things were getting back to normal and by 2019 racial disharmony was becoming a distant memory. Even the Dems had stopped calling for incivility against the Republican government. Then in 2020 the carefully edited G Floyd incident helped the Obamas to divide the country again. Obama is literally the biggest piece of crap to ever serve in the government of Canada or the US. There's not even a second place. He's more of a traitor than Trudeau, and that's no small feat. -

He's not what you'd call a paragon of virtue, but he's the only candidate who doesn't commit crimes under the VP/Presidential Seal. The Dems should have let Biden face the music for his obvious vice-presidential indiscretions 3 years ago when this first came out. Now they have the biggest lame-duck candidate in the history of democracy. -

The ME that Obama inherited wasn’t cozy but it had a trajectory, which wasn’t “straight to hell”. The fact that it went that way is all on him. The ME of 2015 2016 was a shit-show of biblical proportions. There was literally a massive country dedicated to religious bigotry, slavery and genocide. Thats what Trump inherited. Obama said that turning it around was a 5-yr process. He was dead wrong. After only 3 years there were suddenly diplomatic relations between Israel and two arab countries. The US was not a racially divided shithole in 2008. It was a racially divided shitshow in 2016. Period. -

Do you even truly comprehend what you're reading? Is anything that he said or did as bad as DeBlasio's "Hop on the subway like it's no big D"? Is anything that he did as bad as the WHO saying "Don't block international travel, don't wear masks"? Is anything that he did as bad as the Trudeau saying "Blocking international travel is racist, don't wear masks"? You're literally ignoring dozens of aggressive, concrete actions that he took to prevent the spread of C19 and citing a few quotes that don't really add up to much. Kool-Aid much?
