They've had lockdowns off and on, but with 1.5B people there shouldn't be any way to stop thousands from dying of covid. We have 1/40th of their population and we hit 5K deaths over a year ago.

Part1) I think that most people have come around to the conclusion that covid came from a lab in Wuhan. I don't know how long it takes for actual information to dribble its way into leftist circles, so if you don't think that there's a chance this came from a lab then the whole topic is an aside from your POV, that's fine, we get it. This topic is verboten for you and everyone else is racist, blah, blah, blah. Anyhoo, if they made the virus to begin with we have no way of knowing whether they released it intentionally or not, is it worth considering whether the new variants are from a lab as well? It doesn't change much from our POV, but it would mean that the variants aren't necessarily mutating in SA, India, etc, they're possibly just being released there. That would mean that blocking travel from those countries is worthless because the new variants can just as easily be released elsewhere if they're not catching on. Regarding the variants, it's possible that Chinese virologists found some way to spur on the mutation of the viruses in their labs, and they're releasing them slowly after they find out exactly what the previous strains have done to their own population. Part 2) That begs the question, what have the viruses done to the Chinese population? The answer is - almost nothing. China has the world's largest population at 1,439,000,000 people, which is 19% of the total for the planet (7,753,000,000), but the Chinese only accounted for 4,636 covid deaths. The population of China is approximately 1/5th of all the people on the planet, but only 1 out of every 1,125 covid deaths comes from their population. If covid was killing people equally you'd expect that over 1,000,000 of the covid deaths would be from China. By my calculation they're dying at 0.4% of the rate that we'd expect if covid wasn't racist. For those of you who say "but they Chinese gov't is probably just lying about their covid numbers" - if you believe that they're lying about something, and you know that they already lied about the origin of covid, what is the logical assumption to make? Their cities aren't experiencing lockdowns so........ If we follow the covid facts: 1) Covid came out just months after Trump started bragging about 'winning the trade war with China' 2) Covid kills people with co-morbidities (ie, Americans) 3) Covid apparently doesn't kill Chinese people, or at least it only kills them at 4/1000 the rate that it kills other people. Is it safe to say that covid looks like a bioweapon? And by 'looks like', I mean, does it seem exactly like "a wildly successful bioweapon"?

Finland is a lot closer to Germany than we are, the Nazi situation was much more real over there so they probably enacted stronger laws based on that epic shit-show. Propaganda works like a charm here in Canada. The MSM narrative on every story eventually unravels into a series of lies but their faithful never become suspicious of them. Eventually they will just start saying "This is a lie but you have to repeat it, dog!" and they will. And the end goal of 'more government control' is happily endorsed by the propaganda victims, because they believe that all socialist/communist authoritarians are cuddly like Bernie Sanders. From what we know about C19 so far, that's insane. Only 17 people in Canada under 20 yrs old died of covid so far, and from what we know for certain about covid, they would have all had serious health risks which aided in their deaths. That means that healthy kids don't need the vax, unless there's some common, horrible side effect of C19 in healthy kids that we don't know about. But according to our gov't: "We should vax or healthy kids and expose them to deadly side-effects because..... Oh just do it, peons!"

Thanks for that info Goddess. I wish that there was a 'prognosis' section there but I guess that they can't publish anything that acknowledges the deadly effects of the vaccines. The vax-Nazis don't want us to be able to weigh the risks of vaccinating vs not vaccinating kids, they just say "do it 'cause we said so". They fear monger by showing photos of a girl that died, but they won't talk about the kids that died or got myocarditis from the vaccine. Are kids getting myocarditis from covid as well? They won't even tell us that. I hate to wish the worst on anyone, but until someone from the MLB, NBA, NHL or NFL dies from the vaccine we're never going to hear the other side of the story.

I really doubt that a lot of people are starting businesses right now. It's not the time - there's too much uncertainty. Restaurants and a lot of other businesses aren't going to open up right now because they don't know if there will be another round of lockdowns. Retail stores aren't a good investment right now because more and more people are shopping online. What sector are all of these new businesses in?

This vaccine was pimped as being able to get us to herd immunity when 70% of the population was vaxed. Now at 90% vaccination there's no herd immunity at all and vaxed people are dying. The vax nazis are now telling the 'Charlie Browns' to take a 3rd kick at that football. When we say that the serums are not as advertised it is 100% accurate. When we say that it doesn't prevent infection and transmission that's 100% accurate. Sorry if the reality of the situation doesn't conform to your rigidly held beliefs, but some of us deal in facts.
