I'll concede that you're trying to make what seems like a reasonable point, it isn't counter-intuitive at first glance, but don't forget that judges are politically appointed and are not at all above having their own political motivations. Look at Sotomayor's recent statements. No one is dumb enough to believe what she said. She was just duped by leftists propaganda and made a fool of herself in public. "Insists" is the key word. He believes that they're everywhere because that's what the alt-left MSM has told him, but the few examples that were briefly shown were nothing more than photo ops which were quickly staged at the very outer edges of the protest and then the culprits were whisked away. I did see a picture of a swastika, but Trudeau's face was (suitably) in it.

I'm holding out hope that Brad Wall or Pierre Poilievre can set the tone for conservatives in the near future. I don't blame Scheer for tip toeing around the media, but O'Toole put on clown shoes and danced for them. It was sad to see. I can appreciate that M Bernier never would have done any of that, but he lacks PP's class and his ability to effect scathing criticism without giving the MSM ammo.

And TBH, it's sad that a guy like that has to feel like he's in danger from the freedom convoy just because our hatemongering idiot of a PM felt the political need to discredit them on live TV.

This is a perfect example of polls being used for fake news. I really doubt the 57% stat that the alt-left MSM is pushing (I'll clarify: I saw that quoted on this site), but it's not really worth fighting about. They might have done that poll in Ottawa, or on one of their own disinformation websites, but every major poll that I've seen shows that Canadians are done with lockdowns and mandates.

The NSA in the States has been recording every phone call that anyone makes for years decades. Sound files are very small, they don't take up a lot fo hard drive space. If you start saying a lot of their buzzwords on the phone (or around your cellphone nowadays), for example the things that you can't say in an airport or on a plane, you can trigger closer inspection of all your phone calls. Also, if you start making too many calls to people who are on their radar, they can go back further and snoop through all of your older calls. This isn't something that they use to solve murders, they don't their intelligence gathering capabilities to be public knowledge because they want to use them to catch the bigger fish, but they definitely have it and they definitely use it. Snowden leaked some of this information, and another famous example of the NSA's technology is when they were hunting for Pablo Escobar: they used voice recognition on every single phone call within hundreds of miles of where they expected him to be. Maybe every phone call in NA for all I know. He couldn't talk personally on a cell phone or the DEA would be all over him.

That has more to do with MSM disinformation than anything else. These same people who characterized the BLM riots as 'mostly peaceful' have characterized the entirely peaceful freedom convoy as racist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, anti-Islamist, and rife with vandalism and the desecration of monuments. More than 57% of people never went anywhere near the protest. Of course a certain percentage of people will believe what they see on the news. It's sad, but that's life.

On CTV today they were talking about the fact that Alta and Sask were ending their vax mandates, and there was some talk about maybe the truckers scoring some wins. The moderator of the debate said [paraphrasing] "But the truckers aren't responsible for ending the mandates, it was the vaccination rates". Whatever the actual conversation was, today the talking point finally came out about 'victory over covid'. Biden needs to claim it as his win. Ditto for Trudeau in Canada. Obviously Pfizer and Moderna want the vaxes to get the credit as well. If the MSM and Pfizer/Moderna get their way, and the unholy trinity of Trudeau, Biden and Big Pharma get to claim the win, we're all fucked. We'll be getting jabbed and/or losing freedoms for the rest of our lives.
