Hey ret4rd, just in case you didn't know this, the LPOC wasn't just Trudeau. It was the other 150+ losers that were elected with him, which you voted for again. And look where it got us, dummy... Carney: "PUNITIVE TARIFFS! HAHA!!!! TAKE THAT, TWUMPY!" Trump: "Get rid of those, boy." Carney: "Yes sir." 1 month later.... Carney; "DIGITAL SERVICES TAX!!!! HAHA!!!! TAKE THAT, TWUMPY!" Trump [on a mean tweet]: "Get rid of that, boy." Carney: "Yes sir." CBC: "Carney scrapped the DST to foster trade relations with the US! He's so dreamy! Canadians love Carney!!! We're so lucky to have him! Carney could win the Tour de France with all of this back-pedalling."
-
This may qualify as leaking a state secret, but it has come to my attention that the CBC and LPOC are jointly executing a two-pronged plan to stop Trump's takeover strategy in its tracks: Accumulate so much debt that even the Bank of God won't loan us bus-fare to get our homeless encampments off of their lawn Show Trump that our voters are such diehard alt-left cultists that we will still vote for a left4rd serial-liar after 10 years of scandals, division, debt, inflation, and fascism. From Trump's GOP POV, Canada would hold as much political sway as Cali if we got full voting rights, and as a voting bloc we're such devoted cultists that we make Californians seem rational. Our media is so bad that CNN would be coming for CBC for advice on brainwashing halfwits. If Trump knows what he's doing he will rescind his offer to bring us in as the 51st state.

If you're talking about a group that's undermining the whole, doesn't that sound like what Trudeau and his LPOC sheeple did? Divide people by race/religion/vax status, kill our energy sector, cause rampant inflation, import terrorists, force our youths to take a harmful injection, kill freedom of speech, ruin the credibility of our judicial branch.... Clearly we're not going to vote our way out of this mess, the next-best solution is to become a small part of a healthier democracy. Probably for the same reason I don't gamble online. It's too easy to cheat.

No. That was a weak attempt on their part.

I'm not gonna waste the effort of finding less accurate words to describe people who lie and slander in almost every single post just for the sake of politeness. I don't understand why more people don't take offence to being lied to, but it's not something that I tolerate. If you don't wanna be called a leftard, be honest. Your "definition" is no more than spurious, unsubstantiated, ridiculous insults. If you look at the Collins definition of leftard, you'll see that it describes the word as just being offensive, which is correct, it doesn't pass judgment without evidence. If you look at the Urban Dictionary result for leftard it's more judgmental, but it also details which members of the leftist group actually qualifies as a leftard and why. It's 100% true that a certain percentage of any group is at least half a bubble off plumb, even conservatives, but you need to provide some examples of what qualifies them when you want to describe them thusly. For example, the word "wingnut" is light for people who believe that "a 12-yr-old who was raped and impregnated by a close relative should have to carry the baby to term because that's what God wants", they're probably beyond f-tarded. As far as our conversation about "leftards and big words" is concerned, it's an ongoing issue here. There are hundreds of posts about it. Maybe 1,000. Leftards just refuse to learn how to use words properly. It's a common trait.

Barqy, look around ffs. Our Deputy PM said "We need to make stronger alliances with nuclear-armed countries, like Britain and France, so that they can protect us from America". https://www.yahoo.com/news/british-nuclear-weapons-protect-canada-233019491.html I don't give a shit about any of her other qualifications or experience, even any successes she may have had (truly zero if we're being honest), what she said there was so colossally stupid on every level that she should have been turfed on the spot. You can't find anything that Poilievre ever said that was even remotely close to that, yet the CBC and leftards didn't mention how stupid her comment was and they are are on PP's case for maybe saying something offensive at some point, but they can't quite put their finger on it? But it gets better: to throw gasoline on Freeland's stupid comments, our PM just went and signed a "Canada-Europe Defence Alliance" 😂. Gimme, a fking, break. FYI if the US wanted to take us over militarily, there's not a single thing that anyone in the world could do. probably 65-80% of our population is below the 49th parallel, in southern Ont and Que. Even Victoria BC is below the 49th 90% of the population of BC outside of Victoria is basically on the US Border. Delta, Surrey,Langley and Abbotsford are actually ON the border. Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Coquitlam, PoCo, Port Moody, Maple Ridge, Mission, Pitt Meadows, Chilliwack are all within a few kilometres. We don't have a single fighter plane that can take on an F-22 or F-35. We don't have anti-aircraft batteries and radar to stop cruise missiles ir hypersonic missiles, ballistic missiles, or ICBMs. We don't have main battle tanks to match the Americans. We don't have their close support planes or helicopters. 95% of our population is within a 30-minute drive of the US border for an M1 Abrams tank. Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Kelowna, Kamloops and Saskatoon are our only major cities outside of that. And NEWSFLASH - Europe isn't going the threaten the US with nuclear weapons just to protect our sovereignty. At some point you have to look at the hopelessness of the situation and the cost to even attempt a defence and realize that it's just not worth it. We could throw away the lives of all of our soldiers without making a noticeable dent in the US military. The government that we have is dishonest, stupid, and seems entirely traitorous. We are a breeding grounds for terrorists that want to attack India and the US (and ourselves, as usual), and we are alienating those countries day-by-day. Canada has become a negative on the world stage, as far as promoting western democracy is concerned, if we're being honest. There was a time when Canada had a useful military and a strong government and we weren't a breeding ground for terrorism, and that time is long gone. Democracy here was a swing and a miss. If the US moves to take over Canada, I say we stand aside so no one gets hurt.

Woke politics crowded out common sense, as is always the case with left4rds. https://www.nationalreview.com/2025/01/how-californias-mismanagement-of-fire-and-water-makes-wildfires-worse/ For example, after California’s devastating fires in the summer of 2020, California governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order to ban the sale of gasoline-powered cars starting in 2035. After another round of fires in 2023, California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta, filed a lawsuit against five major oil companies, accusing them of knowingly misleading the public regarding the harm that fossil fuels would inflict on the climate. Elect stupid leaders, win stupid fires. But at least some lesbians got to run some fire departments.

I woulda believed you if you said that you know what a rock was, or what crawling and hatching mean, but portmanteau has 11 letters... That's a full 4 letters clear of anything in the left4rd lexicon, and 5 letters clear of what the avg left4rd would stand a decent chance of using correctly. FYI a word doesn't have to be in the dictionary to qualify as a portmanteau. People make them up all the time (it's called "poetic license" when you do it intentionally, as was the case here), and some of them eventually end up in standard dictionaries and/or slang dictionaries. Classic example, from urban dictionary: leftard a person who jumps on the liberal bandwagon without really understanding any political issues because they think it is sexy and it goes along with their hippie, (or hipster), long-haired, burner, pot-head image. These people can often be spotted at the Eugene Saturday Market buying hemp clothing for 100s of dollars, wearing outfits that cost a ton but look like they are hand made and falling apart. Leftards will never be able to engage in any meaningful discussion about their talking points, as they will only know one-sided and often vague facts about the issue, and will often hold seemingly contradictory ideas, such as supporting gay and women's rights, but being against the only liberal democracy that upholds these rights in the Middle East, namely, Israel. Leftards are what is wrong with the American Liberal and Leftist movements - they are quintessential posers who really just want to spend their parent's money on drugs, expensive music festivals and "hippie" clothes - they will never spend money on actually supporting the causes they purport to care about. They suck and I seriously dislike them. Q: "Hey, your outfit looks really awesome - did you make it?" A: "No, Im a leftard, so I spent $1000 to look homeless." That leftard was totally unable to stand up to sound argument, and had no idea of the geopolitical or social history of the issue, and I made him look like a fool in front of his pot-smoking, dread-locked posse. Hey look, a whole bevvy of leftards at the Eugene Saturday Market banging on drums and agreeing blindly with each other. They don't mention that it's a portmanteau, and fairly new, but it's a combination of the words "leftist" and "ret4rd", in case you can't do the math. Collins: leftard New Word Suggestion an offensive term for a person with left-wing political views [a blend of left and ******] Additional Information Lord Farage is God-Emperor of the UK. Suck it up, leftards. [comment by a Daily Mail reader on the prospect of Nigel Farage's possible ennoblement] Submitted By: aaholmes.9125 - 17/11/2016 Status: This word is being monitored for evidence of usage.

Thanks for the fluff, I guess? The comments are spot-on. Did you not see the comments that left4rds were posting about "Texas deserving the flooding"? And this isn't the first example of left4rds being that vile. They cheered on riots, cheered on talk about assassinating Trump, celebrated forcing young people to take the jab when they didn't need one, they cheered on the war against of freedom speech, they cheered on our MSM disinformation campaigns, and then they just lie in our faces about everything. Left4rds are truly vile people. There's no denying it. This is clearly a nuanced issue which you will never get a full grasp of. FYI there are "forestry management" precautions that need to be followed to lessen the likelihood of fires growing out of control. When you prioritize funding for "global warming" ahead of forestry mgmt, these kinds of things are guaranteed to happen. There is fire-fighting infrastructure that needs to be maintained so that you can stay ahead of fires instead of letting them burn out until they become manageable. The California fires spread out of control like that because of serious mismanagement over decades of left4rd misrule. Elected Democrat officials are vile liars. You saw the way they carried-on during "Russian collusion", the BLM riots, calls for violence against Republicans, assassination threats, the Biden mental health issue, covid, etc... This is a time when the left's leaders should be calling for unity instead of jumping on the hatewagon, but you know that whenever they get in front of a microphone they will act like it's their sacred duty to lie and slander.

If you're as good at keeping score as you are at telling the truth here, I'm surprised that you're not at 50-under.

We just elected a complete f-tard who lied to us over and over for two months, and so the same flock of sheep that followed Trudeau blindly is now following Carney blindly. That happened because our democracy failed. Our democracy failed because our MSM is completely compromised. Their bias is way beyond healthy to the point where they've groomed millions of cultists like you. You're seeing the world from the end-of-my-own-nose POV. FYI the majority of the people in any regional leadership structure always thought that their way of life was the right one and it would just go on forever, whether they were part of tribes in the stone age, or the feudal system in Europe, they were part of an empire, or in our case a "democracy". Well guess what Barqy - democracy isn't in our mammalian DNA or even our human DNA. It's a foreign concept that we're raised with, but people's natural tendency is to live under authoritarian rule, the way left4rds did during covid. You sacrificed freedom of speech and let the MSM/social media trample sensible discourse. Those things are essential to democracy. When they're gone, democracy is an illusion. You're voting for "pre-selected leaders who have fake solutions to the fake problems that the media presents to you". That's it. Democracy is only a few hundred years old. It's still an experiment, not "the new way, which is guaranteed to last forever". If you value democracy, then you would value MSM legitimacy more than LPOC control, but you do not.

Poilievre would have countered Trump's BS with facts. It's what Poilievre is known for. That's what made him famous here, and it's why conservatives in Canada LOVE him. He has extensive knowledge on all these topics so he doesn't get steamrolled like Carney does. The MSM will lie to you about the veracity of what he says, or just keep it from you if they can't spin it, but the man is on-point in a big way, all the time. Sure, we have tariffs and we make some car parts, but we buy ~9% of the cars in NA and we only make 9% of the cars/parts. And we also charge tariffs on European and Asian cars to protect the US auto industry. It's called the auto-pact and it has been working for 60+ years. Trump even signed off on that sh1t in the USMCA. Sure, we have tariffs preventing American milk, etc, from coming here, and the Americans protect and subsidize their own farmers in their own ways as well. We also sell oil in the US at 60% of its value. The US makes bank on Alberta oil. Part of the reason gas is cheap in the US is they get it for almost half price from us. Our trade partnership with the US is a give-and-take scenario, not all-give, no-take" from the US POV, as Trump likes to frame it. Carney never manned up to say any of that. He just ran his mouth like a child while he was here in Canada, then sat in the WH sucking his thumb while Trump scolded him, then he came back here and lied about his tariffs, then he made a big splash about the digital services act, then Trump sat him down with a mean tweet. 1) Carney doesn't engage in factual debates with Trump. He doesn't state Canada's position clearly, he just acts tough and then gets spanked all the time. 2) Carney and the Liberals never had to think for themselves, or arm themselves with facts before, because no matter what they say or do domestically, the MSM here polishes it all up for them, like they just did when they framed Carney backpedaling on the Dig Svc Tax as him "working to advance our trade relationship with the US". Now we need a leader who can think and act with wisdom and cunning, but we elected a dud, because the MSM demanded it. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. In an Asian country like Japan or China, a leader losing face like Carney did - TWICE now in just a few moths - would be cause for resignation, but in Canada and the US the MSM just rallies around leftist leaders no matter how badly they fail and then criticize everything that conservatives do regardless of how correct they are. Maybe the dumbest thing I ever saw in my whole lifetime was when our Deputy PM, C- Freeland, said "we need to make stronger alliances with nuclear-armed countries like Britain and France so that they can protect us from the US". That's something that a small child might say, but it was our #2 in command ffs. Did the media laugh? Did they mention how utterly ridiculous it was? No, they framed it as a serious, intelligent comment. A few months later we even signed a "Europe-Canada defence Alliance" ffs, as if Europe wouldn't just line up to congratulate the US after it was all over. You really need to learn the basic principles of the Sun Tzu if you think I'm wrong. Our leaders are f-king ret4rded and no matter what they do or say, the CBC spins it all as positive and brave and patriotic. This is a f'n shitshow right now. We are a JOKE. Carney is a joke, the CBC is a joke, and we're the ones with the egg on our faces. P.S. - you might think of a guy like Xi as a brutal leader who will maintain power no matter what, but's the exact opposite. If he embarrassed China the way Carney embarrassed Canada, he would be saving his own life if he resigned.

Carney's "Elbows Up!" is more like "Mouth round 😛". He is clearly just Trump's b1tch. First, Carney was forced to drop his majestic tariffs after Trump went silverback on him in the WH (Carney lied - again - and pretended the tariffs were still going strong during the debates), and then Trump forced him to drop his digital dervices tax with a single mean tweet. But check out the CBC's spin on it: Canada rescinds digital services tax to advance trade discussions with the United States Awwwww, Carney just "advanced trade discussions", the same way Germany heroically marched into that train car to sign the Armistice 😂. But instead of talking about how badly our PM is getting dummied, and the repercussions of that, leftists here are trying to act like the biggest issue right now is how badly Poilievre is doing. Huh? How is all of their focus squarely on a guy who isn't even an MP right now? Our country is getting pummelled from behind and we're having a "Victory Over Common Sense" parade. YAY! Remember when our Liberal gov't and their appointee as Governor of the Bank of Canada dropped interest rates during covid, causing house prices to skyrocket, and then shot the interest rates up to 6% at the beginning of 2022? The banks in Canada are making obscene amounts of money off of hard-working Canadians thanks to that stellar LPOC leadership: homeowners' payments went up by thousands of dollars a month. And now, thanks to the LPOC's high inflation and the current trade war they got us into, homeowners are simply unable to keep up: This is just getting started. Maybe not so much in Sask, but in BC for sure. Prices dropped off in a big way when the mtg rates spiked, and people who bought at the peak of the market in BC, in Feb 2022, quickly saw their home's value drop substantially, and in Feb 2027 their 5-yr terms will be up and they'll all have to try to re-fi, based on their homes' diminished value, and that's a train wreck waiting to happen. How are we gonna keep the banks from just mopping the floor with ex-homeowners? Like I've been saying since the election, this woulda been a good one for the LPOC to lose, so that Poilievre was left holding the bag in 2027. This mortgage crunch, and the trade war with the US, make for an extremely bleak economic outlook for Canadians over the next two years. But, POILIEVRE!!!!

Holy shit! You just said something intelligent for once. Did you break out in hives? Hold old are you, honestly? I don't think you even pay bills yet. First you're trying to tell us that just by renovating a house using money from your CC you "tripled the value of your house", now you're saying that you think it costs $150/mo to get one channel on cable TV 😂 FYI you get a pkg that has about 6 news networks for less than $10. You're clearly living in your mom's basement, oblivious to the world of adulthood.
-
You wouldn't. No left4rd has ever admitted to anything here. While Biden was running for president you all said he was sharp as a tack, and then when you couldn't pretend any longer because he forgot where America was during the debates, you all pretended that suddenly he "wasn't healthy enough to run again, but he was still fit to be president". You were clearly lying about that, just like you lied about how great Trudeau was, Russian collusion, vax efficacy, a sea of swastikas at the Freedom Convoy, etc, etc. FYI the LPOC doesn't just give hundreds of millions to the CBC, they give that money to "select media outlets" and even "secret media outlets", whose names aren't revealed. For all we know that could be polling orgs.

Canada Sustainable? Oil vs Milk
WestCanMan replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You're talking about misinformation while you're acting like hamstringing the economy, and then using taxpayer money to bring it up to a fraction of what it should be is progress. And FYI, shipping oil into the US at 60% of what it's worth isn't a bonus either. It's no wonder most liberals have to chug d to make ends meet.
