      And women can also choose formula, so why wouldn't the States support a healthier option?  Because women in Western countries are breastfeeding more, formula maker's profits are dropping so they want to sell more in third world countries.  The UN resolution would not help that goal ....so the US decided corporate profits were more important than babies health.

      Whatever. So the US took an unpopular position. The actions of those UN delegates, including the US, do not remove or increase any of the rights of women to choose how to feed their babies. The choice is not removed.

      And don't worry about a reduction of the profits of those formula makers. They will survive just fine.

      Good....if Ecuador want's U.S. aid, then it has to play ball the U.S. way.   Illegals from Ecuador aren't crashing U.S. borders to breast feed with the stars in sunny downtown Los Angeles.
