Ooooh a design competition for recreation centres that include public libraries!! I stand corrected! In other news, the firm I work for keeps winning design competitions for tropical resorts that include... shuffleboard tables. Clearly shuffleboard is more popular than ever!!

A rate is a quantitative measurement. It's a fact. I can't believe I actually have to argue this. 10% = 0.1 = a number A percentage is just a standardized way of numerically expressing a number as a fraction of 100. Someone hasn't finished grade 8 math I see. Perhaps this will help you: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=quantitative+vs+qualitative

As I mentioned, "most unemployment" can only be interpreted as highest unemployment rate unless you are ignorant of economics. The number of unemployed is an irrelevant figure and thus cannot be considered a reasonable interpretation. You were lying as you attributed a quote to Topaz which he did not use. That's a lie. By the way, a rate is a quantitative measurement.

And how utilized are Toronto libraries exactly? I'm pretty sure each library doesn't have 25k people using it. Let's face it, libraries are a relic now with the internet age. Just fire all the librarians, sell off the libraries, and give people on social assistance a cheap laptop, free internet, and a monthly stipend to spend on Amazon (books only).
-
Pages 1-4 of this thread are all about that?
-
No he clearly didn't. I already quoted him and he said "most unemployment". Check again. More lying from the left! What relevance does the "the number of unemployed" even have? You'd have to quite ignorant to even mention that. Topaz said "most unemployment", which can only be interpreted as "highest unemployment rate" unless you are completely ignorant of economics.
-
Why would you say something that is such a blatant lie? http://www.tradingeconomics.com/canada/unemployment-rate Canada's unemployment rate has frequently been higher than it was even during the worst of the "great recession" of Harper's leadership. Or are you quoting coffee shop statistics again?

Cybercoma said that conservatives should only be able to spend their money on attack ads during election campaigns. It's not fair to him that he has to watch conservative ads that distract him from these: http://www.torontosun.com/2011/08/04/ttc-pays-28000-for-ads-to-push-new-rocket

Whatever he is, it's certainly significantly more than 208lbs.. Maybe 208kg!

Where is all the oil and low corporate tax rates? Out West. Who's spent so much on Green energy subsidies that Ontario's credit rating was cut and corporate tax breaks may have to be reduced or ceased? Dalton. Our premier isn't exactly laying out a welcome mat for companies unless they have "green" somewhere in their name.
-
That would be the best thing to come out of this.

I doubt anyone will notice. I read this as "obsolete employees save Torontonians money".

More like the provincial liberals won't retain their support.

Sure. He probably has already (if he exists).

Maybe Matichuk was spared the pseudonym as he was a valued potential client. Or perhaps the VP of a completely different firm which never contracted the services of Racknine is mistaken about the organizational structure of the company? Shocking!
-
Sure there is. A client gets upset with cost overruns of his robocalling poll and then spams the internet with lurid details of mystery man's divorce and sex life as revenge. Hippies repeatedly "retweet" these lurid details as the media and internet has successfully dehumanized the mystery man. It's not up to you to determine whether an individual's anonymity is warranted or not. Some people like to post every detail of their lives on facebook and twitter, while others are more private.
-
I did not, but I was not responsible for bringing in clients. It sounds like this guy was given his position.
-
Sorry but I think I'll keep my personal life secret from a board filled with lefty conspiracy theorists. I did work for a call centre before. See my edit above.
-
Many client-facing jobs can also use fake names. I have used a fake name for a previous job. Some people don't want angry clients firebombing their homes, or conspiracy theorist hippies camping on their lawns and taking dumps in their mailboxes. I've also worked for a call centre so I can attest to fake names being used there. Probably at least half the time people will use a fake name. When you are talking to "Cindy" or "Valerie", it is often an african or arabic girl with a less palatable (to Western society) name.

It's almost like the 14% of the electorate who voted for the CPC last year didn't know or care about voting in this by-election! But hey, let's draw conclusions about the entire 2015 federal election based off of the deceased Jack Layton's riding!
-
This is completely untrue. Unionized customer service workers are far ruder than their non-unionized private sector equivalents. In the private sector you get fired for being too rude... meanwhile, TTC employees sleep on the job, berate, and sometimes assault their clientele only to receive a slap on the wrist.

I think you're a kitten-eating child molester!!! I call for a public inquiry into all your phone records and internet browsing history, along with a search of your home. You better not resist!! The more you resist, the more guilty you are!!

The Latest Example Of The Entitlement Society
CPCFTW replied to Shady's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying that people are biologically wired to try to succeed to attract mates. As a woman, surely you can admit that a successful man is more attractive than poor one (or perhaps he was when you were between 16-30). And admitting that is not an admission of being a whore, despite Cybercoma's ridiculous notions! As a man under 30, I can tell you that I would not want to have children without being secure financially. What a whore I am! A couple that is financially successful will have the means to raise successful children in a capitalist society. A capitalist system basically rewards those who can accrue wealth with the right to reproduce. It is darwinism in full effect. A socialist system takes from those who are successful, and transfers it to the unsuccessful in the name of "equality". Equality is counter-intuitive to science. If we were all equal than why am I not having children with Megan Fox right now? Surely I am exactly equal to her current mate? Equality is a feel-good farce of the left. The only equality that should exist is the equality of opportunity (and this does not mean everyone should start on a level playing field through affirmative action and free education.. some people will have to work harder than others to succeed, just as some animals might have more competition, or less food in their habitat than another). We are not biologically wired to share with strangers. But if we leverage our biological impulses into wealth creation and accumulation, we can have the means to give everyone a better life. In a nutshell, what I am saying is that Einstein didn't develop the theory of relativity, etc. to help mankind, but because he wanted to be a successful scientist to get some poon. You can feed a lion all you want, but if you dump a steak in his throat he's going to swallow. Similarly, this woman is biologically wired to accept handouts as are all of us. I don't know about you, but when I am filing my taxes, I don't ask my accountant to not claim a tax credit because I already make enough. Typical hippy that can't stand to hear contrary opinions. I would love to hear how I called women whores... you see I am open to contrary opinions and don't ignorantly dismiss them as "trolling". -

That's life actually. That's science. We could all hold hands and sing kumbaya, grow wheat and oats, and sustain ourselves on porridge together in harmony. But I happen to want to eat a bloody juicy steak, not porridge. I want to be rich and successful, so I can insert my genes into the most attractive female I can find. That's competition. That's biology. As the "science" party, it's hard to understand why the left can't seem to figure out that capitalism is the natural order of life. -
Not guilty? I hope he gets a sentence of sorts by someone.

Yep. Poor Terri-Lynne McClintic and Michael Rafferty. No doubt they had a rough childhood and took it out on Tori Stafford, but if anyone is found guilty it should be society! This poor couple was beaten down by a society in which houses aren't made of gumdrop and lollipops. The poor souls. Let us hope that our rehabilitation system can take good care of them and release them in the coming months as productive members of society.
