  1. Trying anybody for 'murder' requires evidence. So far, none has been provided.
  2. You are trying to argue both ways: 'He should be convicted. Childhood doesn't matter' And 'You cannot get enough evidence.' I don't really see how any of that makes sense.
  3. None of those kangaroo courts really matter now. All that will matter is the result of his appeal of his conviction ... in a real court, a real trial.
  4. Hmm. I see you're out of relevant things to say. That didn't take long.
  5. We owe you nothing. Your feet stink, so come back tomorrow.
  6. The more Islamophobia, the more disaffection from society, the more radicalization, the happier the extremists are. The question of why the feds didn't intervene with the kids once they suspected pere Khadr was AlQuaeda is more interesting. I'm not really aware of the timing on that. However, I would suspect that the feds might have him under surveillance, and they wouldn't want to blow their cover by intervening with the kids. Sad to say.
  7. What a big load of hooey. Kids are kids. They do what parents tell them. To do any of what you suggest he 'should' would have been a death sentence for him. No normal person expects a kid to do that. And your last line is pure fiction.
  8. Ridiculous. If he isn't guilty, she can't sue him successfully.
  9. Seba’s premise is that people will stop driving altogether. They will switch en masse to self-drive electric vehicles (EVs) that are ten times cheaper to run than fossil-based cars, with a near-zero marginal cost of fuel and an expected lifespan of 1 million miles. Never say never. “It was such a fundamentally different technology that came in, so there was no way to use the old technology to meet the challenge.” http://www.economist.com/node/21542796
  10. If Khadr's conviction is overturned on appeal, the lawsuit will become void.
  11. Are you accusing the court of bias? That's a serious allegation. Are you so sure it isn't just a reasonable application of the law?
  12. That will wait until after his appeal of his 'conviction'. If it's overturned ... her lawsuit is moot. I still don't get why only this one war widow is suing. What about others?
  13. Her name is Tabitha Speer. Is she the only military widow to ever expect to sue the enemy? I expect her lawsuit to be delayed until Khadr's appeal of his conviction is complete.
  14. It doesn't say banned. It says none will be sold, I assume meaning no new ones will be manufactured because no one will want to buy them. Supply and demand. It's changing very quickly now. Investment and purchase of fossil fuels is tanking very fast.
  15. http://business.financialpost.com/transportation/fossil-fuel-vehicles-will-vanish-in-8-years-in-twin-death-spiral-for-big-oil-and-big-autos-says-study-that-shocking-the-industry/wcm/396f52ad-50ca-40f7-a481-eaa355f44a7f Wow, it's happening faster and faster! Big oil and big autos ... both going down.
  16. I said "white extremists". Get off your " rampage" Rue. You're not even funny anymore.
  17. White extremists are responsible for most of the hate crimes and terrorism in Canada.
  18. Lol Well that's another load of hate and hooey, Rue. He's as Canadian as you are ... Or are you ...?
  19. I want the USA to stop invading other countries for profit and creating terrorists so arms manufacturers can make money. Quite the scam.
  20. If people don't respect the rights that protect us all, I don't respect them.
  21. Yes, we have a serious problem with delays in the system causing violations of the right. (b) to be tried within a reasonable time;
  22. Lorne Gunter doesn't mention how our government screwed up badly by sending CSIS to participate in illegal interrogation. Semrau shooting a wounded insurgent: That's exactly what the US soldiers did to the armed (but out of ammo) man still alive: a war crime. And they tried to do the same to Khadr. I'm glad to know that Canadians don't consider such war crimes 'standard practice' the way the US does.
  23. Then you truly don't understand it at all. The Charter protects the right to due process and a fair trial. Otherwise hooligans like you and Argus would be selectively lynching anyone you choose. And that works both ways, of course: When you commit heinous hate crimes, you get due process and a fair trial too.
  24. You really don't like freedom and democracy and equal rights for all citizens, do you? You'd be the one organizing the lynch mobs. Lol
