Yes, that's absolutely shown by the new topic Nippy Democracy at it's finest

I guess what's Orwellian is that the NDP want it, would implement it if ever (unlikely) they had the chance to do so and the cat is out of the bag so the NDP must make an about face (usual for them)

We must stop Quebecs extortion of Canada
Tilter replied to Canada_james's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Right! if Quebec didn't have the billions they get in the TOP scam they would be far better off. if you think this doesn't make sense just ask any Quebecois---- they will tell you, as the government has told them, that the Feds are stealing money from Quebec and if this weren't happening Quebec would be rolling in it. I agree with the Quebec government in that ( and if that weren't happening Quebec would be rolling in it) only I would add 2 letters to the sentence, SH, right before and attached to the last word. I have a couple of friends left in Quebec (the rest have moved to better places like Ontario, Alberta & the graveyards) and this couple (one a professor & the brother of a deceased Que MNA ) cannot understand why Canada has not kicked Quebec out of the DOC--- they are shocked at the lies the Que Govt teaches students & the propaganda they spew to the public in general. Been there---- left -
Why? Are all these new senators from Mainland China??? because that's who currently owns North America
-
I don't care if Gotblanketstan or Krakamoliniker has 6 "upper legislative chamber"s, Canada's senate isn't, hasn't & will never work & we are wasting tax dollars in supporting it. I would bet that a referendum of Canadian taxpayers would vote not only for abolition of the senate but also would cut ties with that other costly & useless institution--- any connection to the royalty of England.

Climate scientists keep getting it wrong

This has, happened without the help of Man, many times before. Are you going to next blame the earthquakes on Global Warming? -
Last minute Kitchener Waterloo robocalls from Justin

Gee---- I'm really surprised to hear you say that  Gee---- I'm really surprised to hear you say that Gee---- I'm really surprised to hear you say that Gee---- I'm really surprised to hear you say that -
Actually I have two languages, one of which is French. Try explaining that to a cop in Georgia or Tennessee or better yet Arkansas. My son was "arrested" that is stopped from driving, in Quebec by one of those polite Surete jerks who could not be convinced that the old Ontario "365" forms was used as a temporary licence as well as a learner's permit, all of which was explained on the form but, because the Officer couldn't read English or even understand the form even when it was explained to him in French. Is it any wonder that a Arkansas State trooper might find it hard to realize that a licence used universally in Canada (all Canada) and legally in the States, can be printed TOTALLY in French (that is the French that is used as French used in Quebec).

And we should have a useless, costly upper house which represents no one, has no real power and is only a reward system for people who have been in some way useful to the party in power simply because, traditionally in federations it has existed? OK, if it must be,let it be but for only a limited time (say, 5 years) for the political leeches who need the extra income and are used to living off the public tit.

Gagging & nausea is a good answer to your enthusiasm -

Are all quebecors and francophone racist?
Tilter replied to PIK's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Are all quebecors and francophone racist? NO---- one of my Quebecois friends isn't and he still lives there. One and counting -
I agree. To have road signs & street names only in French is totally unacceptable For a family from Alberta, moving to Quebec, the fight they must engage in to have their kids in an English school is totally unacceptable For an Anglo to have his driver's licence printed in French only is totally unacceptable There are many more things in Quebec that are totally unacceptable to Anglos living there, one of which is the Patois that Quebec calls French.
-
How about making Anglos so unwelcome they want to leave--- the PQs are doing just that & have been doing it for many years.

This situation is centuries old.

If you are referring to the rest of the world when you say "THEY" and "CANADA" you would be right. Atlantic Canada has traditionally supported the Liberal party, the same party that allowed the ROTW ( rest of the world) drain a fish population that the explorers describe as being "thick enuf to walk on" Blame them, not the Albertans, the people who would rather eat locally caught freshwater fish.

NDP forced to pay back illegal campaign donations
Tilter replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
[quote name='Argus' Yes, in fact, the NDP has been caught accepting illegal campaign donations and spending them on advertising OK--- right there I know you are wrong because, if I remember correctly, the main guy at the head of that party was Jack Layton and as we all know Jack would never do that. -
So you are saying that they are doing it so they can see a little of Canada & find work to boot? Also, jerking off (as in jerkoff thing) is what you do when you run out of pogy.

Palestinians & First Nations no Different From Anyone Else
Tilter replied to jbg's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No--- all would have to back to Tanzania which would make Tanzanian land very valuable as it would have to contain ALL the population now on the earth.---- Good solution there Jake -
a solution to the cost of the senate would be to make the job volunteer, that is to say, the position would pay $1 per year plus an expense account of 100,000/ year to be paid by the province from which they were appointed. Their power would be the same as it is now (in other words--- no power at all) so then each province could appoint as many senator as they wanted to pay, and there could be as much (or more) snoring in the senate as there is now.

BUT---- are the figures true??
