  1. Yep! http://thbison.com/ Oh and who can forget this one? http://www.audubon.org/magazine/may-june-2014/why-passenger-pigeon-went-extinct WWWTT
  2. Going to have to agree with TimG here on this one (but TimG won't acknowledge it) I've seen these groups before, these protectionist groups. Or protection "moral" They have one thing in common, they all claim to want to save Africa, or the rain forest or basically developing nations or even non white western European nations. The thing I find funny/odd/disingenuous is that these people never take the same approach towards similar crimes against nature when the same crimes happen in western nations. Take Shady's recent thread about China's Guangxi province dog/cat eating festival. But where's the outcry when there's a rib fest in London Ontario? Where's the public shaming? Where's the non stop face book shares? Did you know that Canada and the US allows native Inuit to hunt the Bowhead whale? This is one of the hugest crimes in humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you probably never even heard of the Bowhead whale? This screams double f'n standard! WWWTT
  3. At least the leaders from those countries keep their mouths shut and try to cooperate. Ever heard the saying "getting the best bang for your buck"? With all my limited past involvement in politics in the past, I found successful leaders can keep a lid on it. I also found the more controversial ones whom can't keep a lid on it or have a style opposite can be successful in their own rite as well. But clearly have a "love em or completely hate em" aura about them. Iran's leaders have seem to have at least learned for the time being to keep a lid on it and to tone it down several notches. This is probably due to Russia and China dangling the keys to getting into BRICS in front of them like a carrot in front of a pony. I'm also sure the people of Iran, are moving ahead and want acceptance from the international community. Seeing China, a non western European colonial country take center stage in the world economy/culture/leadership surely is inspirational to the Iranian people!!!! This is something many people here do not see, and very unfortunately. I have seen, on China's CCTV4 news channel, footage of the Iranian people celebrating in the streets across Iran over this deal and the prospect of joining BRICS. China is very proud of this deal, very proud that their country is an influence for positive growing change. China would get seriously pissed off if some little loud mouth from a little religious welfare state ruins it for them! WWWTT
  4. I'm personally starting to get tired of FB friends sharing this story WWWTT
  5. Well here we go, another poll. But this time, from a little more established pollster. http://globalnews.ca/news/2135999/tories-close-gap-but-ndp-still-leads-poll-as-election-draws-nearer/ Looks like those baby bonus cheques may have given the conservatives a bounce. Or if we were to give credit to the mainstreet poll, the conservatives have already slid 5 points and are back behind the NDP. Either way, the NDP have not moved anything significant from their position of the last few weeks. WWWTT
  6. This comment seems to sum up why the west shouldn't give Israel a larger audience that a small welfare state deserves. Many players in this deal moving forward and many countries should have an EQUAL voice. WWWTT
  7. In some specific situations a case can be made. Justin was campaigning for Ontario liberal candidates more than once in bi elections, etc etc regardless, it's not worth all that much of comment time. WWWTT
  8. I wasn't making any claim that they weren't. WWWTT
  9. Good! Let them have it! I seriously hope you're right. WWWTT
  10. Mulcair is warming up to the idea. Myself, I'm dead against it! But watch, it's going to happen! Or at least the push for it from TO and other parts of Canada. Money could be better spent on infrastructure without the waste of the games. WWWTT
  11. Ya but on which side? I've said it before and said it again, sanctions are like drinking poison and expecting your enemy to die! WWWTT
  12. Not the "entire" world. I think that's what you mean? But an well over 50% of it makes using the term world acceptable. WWWTT
  13. Good questions to ask in a debate thread/forum! After all, do the moderators want to improve this site? Or watch it deteriorate? This issue is very historical and there are many facets that we haven't even touched upon yet! I personally am looking forward to checking this thread for updates. WWWTT
  14. Ya actually BRICS was central in all of this and they represent! In fact they represent over 40% of the worlds population! Not to mention the many more lesser countries that do not recognize sanctions, Hudson Jones comments are pretty close and are acceptable. WWWTT
  15. Interesting read. I'm under the impression that if the US congress rejects, the others will go ahead and only the US will lose out. WWWTT

Well Waldo, once you free your mind of your own human bias, You start to see the world in a different way. There is only one solution to a climate problem caused by humans. Less humans.

Shady if you don't think the 9/11 junk isn't there in endless black and white in a similar vein to this nonsense, just google it.

  16. Thanks to health care transfer payment cuts. Something the federal liberals are famous for doing. But the liberals never talk about how they are still responsible for something that they started. Hence the Canada that never was. WWWTT
  17. Dalton McGuinty and Wynne did/are doing many things that that are on par with conservative policy. The screaming examples are the sell off of Hydro One and the unconstitutional powers given to the police rammed through Queens park just before the now infamous 2010 G20. Not to mention all the back tracking on marihuana laws and corporate tax cuts that were started by Martin not to mention the austerity that he was famous for! Did I mention the Afghan mission? Lots of partisan examples to be found with their appointments as well! I posted an link to an well written article that mentions all of this. Liberals love to paint a rosy picture of the past where all their right wing agendas are somehow conveniently forgotten. WWWTT
  18. Higher than Qatar??? No wonder you don't back up your claims with links, you simply can't. WWWTT
  19. Sounds like you are longing for the Canada that never was. liberals do this when criticizing the Harper regime, they create a fantasy fairy tale utopia Canada. WWWTT
  20. Hey lets draw pictures about Islam and publish them. It's called freedom of speech. But when Islam does it, it called GRAPHIC IMAGES! This is now about how bad Iran is! No mention of freedom of speech anymore.

Those French political Islamic cartoons for starters among others.

But when an Islamic RELIGIOUS leader (everyone forgets the religion part)tweets a political cartoon, it's now supposed to mean that they are going to invade Israel with an atomic bomb!

  21. Lots of talk about one single poll. Still lots of polls out there. And still an election call, then election campaign coming up. It's clearly obvious that the conservatives were taking a real hard shot in the nuts with all the polls placing them in second, and even third place! What a coincidence that a BRAND SPANKING NEW CONSERVATIVE PARTISAN pollster shows up THE SAME WEEK as the baby bonus cheques roll out. I'm done with this debate on one single poll and moving on.
