Ok now heres a real odd bit of news. Apparently this Crosbie guy made a speach and said something controversial. I listened to it over several times and I can't make out what this guy is freekin saying! I remember when Stephen Dion was liberal leader the conservatives were attacking him over his ability to speak English. The conservatives even tried to start something with Nycole but I don't think that one went far. Well apparently with their new AG appointment,billingualism in both of Canadas official language doesn't mean much as long as its French you're not good in! OK now after trying to listen to what Crosbie was trying to say man good grief speak English man! Well it looks like OCCUPY is becoming a protest that is starting to annoy the establishment,at least at the municipal level. Now the message that OCCUPY has bein trying to convey has allways bein clear to me.But it seems that the establishment claims that this protest has an unclear message.I guess the establishment approach is "hear no evil,don't have to do anything". But in my opinion thats about to change. When people turn on their TV every night and see ugly scenes play out in the cities,the protestors message will be fairly clear. WWWTT

If Ontario and Quebec have no say in what costs they incur from legislation that is passed in Ottawa then how responsible would McGuinty be for Ontario being downgraded? I am not sure on what grounds someone may use,but I would not doubt that there "may" be several reasons. But heres the catch,it will cost money to launch a legal campaign to save the registry! And the government has inexhaustable resources,their called "taxpayer revenues"! WWWTT

I don't want to get too involved in this thread but I can add something. If the government is serious about completely destroying the registry records I believe it may be possible for someone/group/party to file a claim in court asking a judge to immediately suspend the governments intention of destroying the documents until a proper hearing can properly resolve what the conclusion of these documents should be. This to me sounds entirely a possibility. WWWTT

I am not going to argue where on the political spectrum Mary Walsh stands. But no elected official is above being critisized or is "off-limits" Typically the right wing politicians are given a harder rap from the lefties and left wing politicians are given the harder rap from the righties. Are you saying Rob Ford is "off limits" and in no way should be approached? If Rob Ford chooses to use the 911 service to deal with critisizm(in his own mind) coming from a comedian,then he's going to have to eventually answer for that! WWWTT

That depends on your perspective. Olbemann I believe considers himself somewhat of a comedian. And he is sticking up for other comedians! ROB Fords actions may be viewed as an over the top attack on those who have choosen to make a life long career in comedy. Keep in mind that many of the best comedians in the world are Canadian! This is a fact! Many around the world see Canada as the comedy capital of the world! It was inevitable that eventually other comedians are going to defend Mary Walsh and start taking jabs at Ford. Actually I can say that Rob Ford made an ugly attack on one of Canadas finest institutions-Comedy! And that makes him un-Canadian! WWWTT

If you do not care what happens in a Canadian city(unless there are American casualties) then why make a comment? What makes "you" think that making such a comment is relevant? Let me clarify I believe I heard that in Halifax the authorities there are planing on "asking" the protestors to "move along" because the OCCUPY protests will interfere with upcoming events such as remembrance day. But isn't there a vets day in the US or something like that?Is there no events planned for this? I'm sure the OCCUPY protests in the US will be interfering with other events there no?Wouldn't that make this relevant there aswell? WWWTT

Ok as some here have predicted OCCUPY is starting to get ugly. Saturday in Denver the police attemted to disasemble OCCUPY which triggered a confrontation. The OCCUPY side claims they have the democratic right to peacefull protest.The local governments claim that OCCUPY is essentialy privatizing public property(or something like that),interfering with other events.Potentiall events like rememberance day ceremonies amongst others. This made me think,is the OCCUPY message "more" important than rememberance day ceremonies? I know the vets will claim that there sacrifices made allow us the freedom to public protest.However I will propose that the OCCUPY movement will continue our citizens further freedoms that future generations will benefit from! This is a false statement.Partialy The RCMP are federal,OPP and QPP are provincial and then there are numerous city and municipal/county police departments across Canada. And then the courts are funding from different levels of government,including at the municipal level. WWWTT
