  2. Nanos Leadership Index Harper leads, Layton firm second Harper - 90.0, Down 2.8 Layton - 66.6, Down 10.2 Ignatieff - 36.7, Down 4.8 Duceppe - 15.3, Up 4.5 http://www.nanosresearch.com/election2011/20110420-LeadershipE.pdf
  3. Ipsos Reid C - 43% N - 24% L - 21% Beware this is a pollster that always give the Tories more support than any other pollster.
  4. I wonder how many thousands of women voters Brian Trost cost Harper today? What a loose cannon he is. How in the world is Harper going to discipline him - kick him out of the caucus?
  5. That must be why the NDP are now only 11% back of the Tories and in close pursuit. If you are going to make an argument at least provide some facts to back it up, otherwise people will realize you are talking through your hat.
  6. Harper and his ministers need to be on the same page but they obviously are not now. Who knows what is coming next?
  7. There nothing new here except I think Canadians who really don't get much opportunity to bitch and complain about our politicians have their main opportunity right now during the election campaign. Harper who is such a control freak, and who does not allow for any dissent, is now going to be getting it from the voters, 5 years of pent-up frustrations against his dumbass policies - war, jets, tax-cuts games for the rich and powerful, prisons BS, that the vast majority of people in this country don't want.
  8. What's going on here? Maybe Dimitri Soudas should at least step down until there has beeen an investigation.
  9. It is very easy to understand what happened. The Cons and the Libs represent big business, the Bloc the Independentistes, and the NDP the working people, and the people are saying we have had enough of the Libs and the Cons ripping the people off on behalf of big business. Quite simple really.
  10. EKOS Regionals BC C - 36.5% N - 26.9% L - 20.8% G - 12.5% AB C - 53.3% N - 18.9% L - 14.2% G - 12.5% SK/MA C - 37.5% N - 34.7% L - 17.9% ON C - 38.1% L - 34% N - 19.5% QC N - 31.4% B - 27.2% C - 18.4% L - 15.5% AT C - 33.5% L - 32.8% N - 26.3%
  11. Let's see what EKOS says. C - 34.7% N - 24.7% L - 24.7% G - 7.8% B - 6.5%
  12. This sure does not look good, does it?
  13. I wouldn't crow too much with your own forecasting record - what was it Zero seats for the NPD in Quebec. Yup, right on the money with that one.
  14. I love crazy!
  15. Never mind majority, as this is far from over, and I am now beginning to wonder which party is even going to win the most number of seats.
  16. Quebeckers are probably more shrewd than that. Quebeckers dislike Harper, as the vast majority of Canadians do, are fed up with the Bloc nationalistic squabbles, yet want be part of the power in Ottawa, so Quebeckers have decided to join the NPD who wilI be part of the power in Ottawa, either on their own, or as part of the coalition which the Bloc is not able to do. Quebeckers are some of the smartest politicos in Canada, bar none. TB is quite accurate with his assessment of the Quebec situation and the reason for the major shift in support to the NPD in Quebec. And now let's get ready for the ripple effect across the rest of the country.
  17. This abortion scandal could well destroy the Conservatives in Quebec.
  18. August, buzz off with your hatred comments. You obviously hate a lot, but I have never heard TB express hatred. For the first time ever, the NDP has now pulled ahead of the Liberals. Let's see what Layton does next. C - 36% N - 25%, now only 11% behind the Cons. , L - 23% B - 6% G - 6%
  19. Sorry but I just don't believe Harper on the abortion issue. Harper has blatantly lied about trying to take power away from PM Paul Martin, so why should he be believed on the abortion issue. Why is Harper afraid to tell us his decision about Planned Parenthood now. We all know why. And women's abortion rights are going to be lost through the back door in Canada. Where there is smoke, there is fire!
  20. The issue that just won't go away.
  21. Interesting analysis TB. You may well be correct.
  22. Good morning M Dancer, it's a new day - have a good one!
  23. Don't know how many of you are aware of a website entitled Pundit's Guide but it is an excellent resource for accessing recent historical election information: www.punditsguide.com
  24. This issue now will rise like a wildfire across the land. Abortion and hidden agendas: Brad Trost set to be this year's Cheryl Gallant http://davidakin.blogware.com/blog/_archives/2011/4/21/4800034.html
