Actually more women than men support the NDP and The Bloc, Liberals are supported by women and men equally, and more men than women support the Cons.

Another bad day for Harper what with trying to deprive students of their vote in Guelph, Ontario, and dealing with Helena 'Harper tossed me under the bus' Guergis. Hamilton, the Harper Conservatives Party's lawyer, must have made big bucks today.

The accused culprit is Michael Sona, a Conservative party operative (read Conservative Party employee), who presently is an aide to Fundy Royal, NB junior minister Rob Moore. Maybe among the many things that need to be done here is to lauch a major effort to defeat Rob Moore in Fundy Royal. What is Rob Moore doing employing a creep like this? What else has this party hack been up to? And why is he in Guleph, Ontario which is pretty far from home? Layton is absolutely correct - we do need an investigation. There is only one reason Harper backed off on this and it was the student backlash. -
That EKOS polling that was released today is showing that the NPD has vaulted into 1st place in the Greater Montreal area. EKOS Metro Montreal N - 30.1% B - 22.6% L - 25.7% C - 14.2% Quebec (la province) B - 29.0% N - 23.7% L - 22.4% C - 17.6%

You make this sound like attempting to steal a ballot box full of votes is some minor little occurence here. There is a process to follow if there is a problem at a voting area. I have absolutley no sympathy for some power-tripping jerk trying to steal a ballot box and who may have roughed up a polling officer as well. We need an immediate investigation and hopefully he will be dealt with severely to set an example that you don't mess with our democracy. And of course the directive probably came from the PMO because basically nothing happens now in our government without Harper's approval. -
Using your absurd definition of losers more than 62% of Canadians supported losers in the last election. Maybe that loser majority should have some say - yes? Don't worry Harper will probably get first kick at the can at least until the vote on the Throne Speech and then it is going to be bye, bye.

I would hope that all parties would be encouraging every eligible voter to vote - yes? I understand in Australia you are fined if you do not vote - not a bad idea as long as the fine is reasonable. How about a $100. fine if you don't vote.

This Conservative operative, Michael Soona (sp?) is working for one of the Conservative candidates in the Guelph area, and he had a voter suppression plan. He tried to grab the ballot box and run away. Apparently he was blocked from stealing the ballot box by a female polling officer who was grabbed by him as well. His directive probably came the PMO and/or Harper himself. Everybody knows why this happened. It is going to be a close race in the riding and the Conservatives were concerned that very few of the students would vote for the Conservatives, so they thought they would disenfranchise the student vote. -

That's just shocking isn't it, that the youth have found a Leader they like and are going to vote big time in this election. Maybe the Coservatives should go round them all up, and keep them prisoner until after May 2 so they can't vote, or perhaps the Conservatives could try and steal their ballot boxes like they did yesterday. Did it ever occur to you that maybe it is very important to participate in our democracy? And since when do you decide for anyone else who they should vote for? When are we going to have an investigation and possible criminal charges laid for the Conservatives outrageous behaviour? As one of the students at Guelph U said the Conservatives have zero respect for our democratic institutions.

Attempting to steal a ballot box full of ballots. Criminal charges will be laid here against the Conservatives - yes? -
Actually Harper did ok in the English debate however his performance was poor during the French debate and the poll below shows it. And even in the English debate 50% of the viewers reported they were uncomfortable with his zombie-like staring at the camera as opposed to interacting with the other debaters. Nanos Leadership Index Leader / Apr 14 / Apr 15 / Change Harper 122.8 / 103.3 / Down 19.5 Layton 57.3 / 60.4 / Up 3.1 Ignatieff 52.7 / 42.5 / Down 10.2 Duceppe 13.8 / 19.0 / Up 5.2 May 4.1 / 13.7 / Up 9.6
