  1. Yes, Jordan is clearly the 51st state. Man, the rhetoric if a country has even a modicum of good relations with those "damn muricans".
  2. Again, PN, what do you do then? If you can't patrol it, what are people worried about C51 for?
  3. Oh, I know. You admire them too much to laugh at them.
  4. lol Yes, laughing at the continued atrocities of ISIL and the Syrian regime are pretty funny. As I said, carry on with your support of all things ISIL. So, because they are difficult to catch, does that mean we don't try to catch them? They are using specific tools. If we don't have the weapons, and by this I mean laws and internet protocols, to combat them, clearly we will never catch them. This gives them free reign, knowing that we don't have the will or weapons to combat them.
  5. Michael, I was merely poking a little fun at you in good jest. I am a middle aged person who would have loved to have gone.
  6. Exactly! The Dark Web is used by many terrorist organizations to organize. There needs to be means to combat this with new tools specific to the threat.
  7. I'll be facetious. Anti C51ers main concern is that someone may read their emails? Uh, who cares? Seriously? You're afraid some nameless minion saw that you sent away for that penis enlarger? The entire world is being videotaped, everything you do online is tracked by corporations.
  8. Your attempt at levity is appreciated, your ignorance however is redundant for you. Your continued support for all things ISIL is noted. There is one thing that jump-started the crisis-the Arab Spring. It began in 2011.Pro democracy, then the usual suspects clamped down. Bashar al-Assad's regime has targeted civilians ruthlessly, using chemical weapons and barrel bombs; ISIS has subjected Syrians to murder, torture, crucifixion, sexual slavery, and other appalling atrocities. -Nusra have tortured and killed civilians. Fighting them according to you is abhorrent on our part, right OGFT? The west caused all this, right? We make them do horrific acts. If you can't see that reducing the people killing the people actually saves the people, I don't know what to say. Clearly, if we bombed the "muricans" all the wars would be over and the world would be a happy cozy place.
  9. Looks like fun. Isn't Jared to Subway the same as Burning Man to Quiznos? Actually, I guess the other way around. Your avatar and Burning Man is a juxtaposition of incongruous parts.
  10. Those migrants are not migrants because we are fighting ISIL They are migrants because the Syrian regime and ISIL have killed over 330,000 since the start of their civil war. Attempting to curtail the atrocities of ISIL should, if you extrapolate properly, actually reduce the number of migrants. And by migrants, you are talking refugees? Two totally different people, yes?
  11. That is a huge jump. I don't know how to ask without sounding trite, but where do you see that? People are also cynical due to the egregious lies perpetrated on the public by the left. The father blaming us also doesn't sit well considering the possibility he himself may be to blame.
  12. I said we shouldn't accpet them en masse. I am not referring to Syrians specifically. Not only Muslims are refugees, and not only Muslims are intolerant.
  13. Clearly, we need to accept refugees. Clearly, refugees will not be wealthy ppl. Equally as clear, refugees must go through the refugee process. No knee jerk reactions, no mass acceptance. That would hurt Canada today, and that would hurt further refugees tomorrow.
  14. In the Liberal maritimes, where the LIberals are forecast a clean sweep, 63% don't want more refugees. Honestly, I'm surprised by those numbers. http://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/more/poll-results edit:now at 66% against. Number may vary from posted due to new votes
  15. That's rather elitist, wouldn't you say Michael? Kind of adds credence to Bukowski's epitath.."Don't Try"
  16. As an addendum to why I won't vote NDP is a reason I won't vote Liberal. It is important to develop apprenticeships. The Ontario Liberals have created taxes that will kill many small businesses (remember, JT says they are just tax shelters for rich ppl anyways) and makes being a skilled tradesperson difficult and expensive. http://www.stopthetradestax.ca/ I would love free university too. Except of course, there is no such thing. http://www.macleans.ca/education/uniandcollege/professor-pay-ranked-from-highest-to-lowest/
  17. Many of my friends claim the Conservatives treatment of Indigenous peoples as one of the main reasons they refuse to vote PC. This is a great article showing that Harper is again leading by doing, not just throwing money at an untenable situation. http://www.troymedia.com/2015/09/04/why-first-nations-peoples-should-vote-for-harper/
  18. Odd. I thought the left was clearly stating our social programs have been decimated and we have been in multiple recessions and were broke.
  19. See, here is where your logic is messed up. "Revolts against dictatorships, several of which the West supported". So, if the west supports them, we are guilty by association for their crimes. If we oppose them, we are interfering in their interior politics and guilty for their crimes. To suggest the West is to blame for millennial of unrest and fighting in the ME is bordering on the ludicrous and surreal "That people in the region don't differentiate much between a dictatorship whether it a Western or Eastern bastard escapes you" If we are talking ME, obviously, we are talking an Eastern bastard by definition.Unless, you are juxtaposing Israel to be a Western bastard, though clearly an Eastern bastard.(tongue in cheek)
  20. Turkey took them. They are safe. Fleeing Turkey does not make them a refugee. It makes them a world traveller.
  21. Refugees are fleeing for their lives. Unless of course they aren't. Ridiculous to assert the refugee process more dangerous thus leaving women and children behind while they go get settled. Clearly there are legitiimate refugees. Clearly, there are illegitimate refugees. Fleeing a safe country for another safe country is not being a legitimate refugee...it's safe country shopping.
  22. “I, I don’t think, uh, uh, I think he’s certainly a convicted murderer and convicted terrorist but that doesn’t mean he can’t be further subject to the rights and freedoms that are afforded to all Canadians, regardless of their behaviour.”

  23. Not to nit pick, but it was actually two days. And clearly, the black bloc tactics and thuggery that prevailed, a billion wasn`t enough, was it.
  24. I never said he was a National Socialist. Please read my comment again. Yes, hyperbole. Yes, I`m always worried about wasting billions on things that are clearly useless. The Liberal long gun registry is clearly that. It hasn`t saved a single life. No hypocrisy.
