That's why vocabulary, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. are equally as important as the words themselves in conveying a coherant message... "in and of themselves" being the operative part of the sentence... so --- How would you know that if you hadn't read or heard it and applied that meaning to them? Didn't understand a word you wrote... Pick ONE and tell me what it meant... Not at all... Words, like beauty, is all in the eye of the beholder... You yourself said that if I couldn't read Italian, words in Italian would have no meaning to me, but they certainly would to an Italian reader who can interprete them, no? Why do we need translators?   8. Ummm, remember that "1000 Prisoners Escaped" news item that was a minor news item on day 3 (I think), about the same time as the police retreated and security forces went "absent" in all this? I wondered about that at the time, now I can stop wondering... This is starting to look like a rerun of an early '30s Newsreal... Appointing his "Spy Guy" as vice-president, nice touch, wasn't it? Mubarak's 82, wonder where he got those ideas... Some things leave lasting impressions on the young... One more thing, the composition and actions so far, of the Egyptian military, is what gives me the most hope for a relatively good outcome of this event, after 30 years, its very hard to fire on sons and daughters and parents... They also are unlikely to become, or support, too religious, or extreme, a regime... UNLESS, they aren't kept fat and happy, catch my drift? THAT was the biggest mistake of the whole Iraq war, dispanding the Iraqi Military, if the U.S. hadn't done that -?!?!- well, I guess we'll never know...

According to THAT measure what's happening in Egypt is very GOOD FOR BUSINESS... I notice that on day 9 of the uprising the "brown shirts" have come out, soon to be joined I'm sure by strangely absent "security forces and police" of Mubarak...

The earth has had enough and is now fighting back to get rid of the parasite it has siting on it... UP, UP, UP, do you know WHY? Because BAE Systems, General Dynamics, General Electric, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and hundreds of others of that "dynamic" BENEFIT by even the hint of Mid East turmoil... WAR, or even the potential for instability in the MIDDLE EAST, is GOOD FOR BUSINESS... That what you want? Another Mideast WAR? If it is, just cut off the wests money and let them get it from someone else a little less "friendly" to the west... I've never met a dictator or other authoritarian regime that couldn't find a way to get all the money they need for themselves and the populous be damned... Funding the military is all they need to do...

  19. Where you been... It's the Cons that are behind this whole thing, they want to TAX in the way of a FEE on the service providers and "open up" Canada to U.S. providers... Problem is they've tried it before, (remember?) and the U.S. telecom providers didn't "buy in" and said NO THANKS... Bottom line: A hidden tax proposal by the CONSERVATIVES... That would hit you and me folks...

  23. Wrong... I, for one, am all about GOVERNMENTS SPENDING WISELY not my taxes... I raised two kids without "child care" working 8-12 hour days, while my wife at the time, an RN, worked 8-12 hr nights... We did it, why can't you? We have ONE east-west highway across Canada and if you drive it through Northwestern Ontario or through the Rockies in the winter (and sometimes summer too) you're risking your life... It's the east-west - west-east road route "life blood" of trade and commerce in our country, and my question is why is that? In the 1800's we built a railroad across our country and in the 22nd century we can't twin a road? My "taxes" are fine, just spend the damn money where it benefits the most Canadians the MOST and not to buy votes in the next election... So how would your party be different, eh... That's right, it wouldn't be...

The US has said it's maintaining it's neutrality on the situation and has NOT asked Mubarak to "step down" NOW or even to turn Egyp's "life support", water, electricity, internet, etc, back on NOW...
