They both stated that the US people are firmly behind the rebuilding of Iraq and that the President must make it very clear, very often why the US is there. If Bush does that, then both stated that the US will have little domestic pressure to pull out. Contrary to the media I believe that the average Joe and Jane six pack has a more intuitive and realistic assessment of what must be done than the Liberal gad fly's at Harvard or the Krugman's of the world, lost in Keynesian demand management and Marxian economics.

In that light how can you possibly argue against pre-emption. I urge you to go to the WTC site. View it. Read the postings there. Stare at the destruction. Watch people cry as they do the same. Listen to mothers try to explain to their daughters what happened. Feel the emotion rise as the enormity of what occured hits you full in the face. Then think again about what it all means. And then revisit the thesis of Chretien that greedy self satisified people caused it. You will know it to be nothing more than bunk.

Well Islam is the merger of gov't and religion is it not ? The religion teaches people intolerance towards the Jew does it not ? Even in moderate countries the religion is abusive to the population and negates modernity. Provide me concrete evidence not emotional PC arguments on its successes. A philosophy which avows an intention in keeping someone ignorant poor and spiteful does not constitute either a noble religious ideal or good governance. Understanding this places the war on terror in perspective. It would be as if someone said to me 'you know the Nazi pagan philosophy of life has its merits...or you know communist godlessness is really a moral philosophy elevating the community above god...." Apparently South Korea relies on US military protection, trade relationships and market access, as well as direct monies given to SK for military and defence purposes for their own army. Without US protection and funding - direct and indirect - and the Korean War of course - they would be wearing Mao Jackets and have dumb haircuts.
