  1. That point you are correct but that does not explain the abuses that is being put upon the non natives in the area. We cannot change the sins of the past and ignoring the law when it suits the police is not the answer.
  2. It is a unforgivable crime to ignore or turn these fine people into scapegoats. There maybe some taking advantage of the system but this is one case that should be a innocent in till proven guilty. We owe these people anything we can do that can help them. Being cheap in a situation like this is not a crime but a unforgivable sin no matter what color of the party.
  3. How is it different than describing some youths?
  4. Again with the cheap shots. No counter point, no intelligent debate. Just a shot. Tell us again how you are an educator
  5. Wasting your time man. He ignores the postings that prove him wrong.
  6. First. Your not a teacher. Nobody with your lack of ability to explain an opinion or see another side of an argument would ever be aloud to educate children. Second. The unions always order the teachers to go work to rule first. Cutting sports and extra curricular activities to hurt the students.
  7. I don't disagree. The PC's ran a terrible campaign. Hudak did not come across as sincere and he made the mistake of telling the truth to the voters. That is a huge no no in Ontario. The P.C.'s lost the election and the people of Ontario just lost..
  8. Please don't mistake my opinions towards The Ontario Liberal Party. I despise the way they have run this province into the ground and continue to do so. The Conservatives let us down by not replacing Hudak after the first time he lost to McGuinty. We all have 3 and a half years to deal with this bunch. I really feel sorry for the next government that takes over cause it is going to take a Mike Harris on steroids to get things under control
  9. I think it is likely that Dalton did know but his staf will never admit it. He likely suspected or gave a subtle hint. The people that did give the order will never admit He knew so here we are. End of the day the Ontario Liberals spent 1.1 billion on cancelling two gas plants to buy seats in that election. 1.1 billion that could have gone to health care, education, tax cuts, debt, etc, etc but no it was spent on buying an election. The irony is that if Dalton had lost the election he would have been remembered with a better legacy than the one he will be remembered for.
  10. How dare you accuse McGuinty of such deeds. He would have never made a deal like that for a few seats. Wait.....ooooops
  11. Only took 12 years and 200 billion more in debt for that freedom. Imagine what buying beer in a grocery store will cost.
  12. At least till we have lost all the cattle due to taxes that were spent on a magic bean factory that will be cancelled but still paid for. I wonder if it will run on wind power or the gas plant we will NOT build to power said magic bean plant that will create 500,000 jobs in building the plant.Than tearing it down. We can after all is said and done build an office building where all the public employees can work and claim huge savings.
  13. Socialist by his own emission does not have a masters either and many that do are just lazy. I would wager he never will. Nobody that has the education that he claims could be this bad at debating topics or beliefs..
  14. Except for the ones with a Masters in education that taught before you have deemed is not lazy educators? Or is this when you say all educators are amazing and saving democracy. I am just curious how you view teachers today?
  15. This IS the Ontario Liberal Party reputation. Nothing has changed since Wynne took over and the games keep being played. Teacher buy out before the election and hiding the cost MARS cost and hiding it during the election Auditor report Pan Am expenses Credit downgrading It is just going to keep on going
  16. In all fairness arithmetic is not taught anymore in the 21st century education.
  17. This was what I was talking about in other topics about how the money for education is wasted. Fine, pay the teachers more, give more money for the classroom but keep the bureaucrats and unions out of it. Than we can make a difference in education
  18. I do have a job and a pension plan so I will not be paying into the Liberal shakedown. I am over taxed and over charged.
  19. There is quite a bit wrong with that break down What school's have students there for eight hours? Most I know of start at 9am and end at 3:15. Two nutrition breaks at 20 mins each mean that they spend about 5 1/2 hours in the classroom a day. High school is usually less. I am not taking into account planning or marking just teaching like your post said.
  20. Well I am cold and broke in Ontario and I can tell you the energy policy in Ontario has become a disaster for everybody. Private or business we are all being taken once again and soon to be followed up by a carbon tax
  21. http://www.procurementoffice.ca/2013/01/05/tdsb-contract-with-expensive-maintenance-company-renewed/ This is a group with ties to the union http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/01/04/province_renews_tdsb_contract_with_expensive_maintenance_and_trades_workers.html http://www.procurementoffice.ca/2013/01/05/tdsb-contract-renewal-may-have-been-politically-motivated/ Taking money from students for their members. Money that could be spent on tools and equipment for the classroom spent to appease the union not the students or teachers.
  22. Let us not forget we still have the MARS project to look forward too. PanAm Games run by David Peterson another fine Liberal. Plus you know that a hefty new tax is going to come next budget. It is the tradition.
  23. Wynne paid 500 million for peace in Ontario and the election. Now the argument was started by Dalton who usually bought off the unions first but he broke the contract. It is said that it will save 2 billion but with Liberal math that could mean anything. I honestly don't know how this is going to play out I do doubt that what happens in B.C. will make much difference, just look at what happened when the HST was voted down. McGuinty claimed it would mean Ontario would get all those jobs. Still waiting but that is another topic. If I had to guess I would say The Liberals buckle this time and fight the next one when the election is closer. A war with teachers right now won't play well with the public.
  24. If you want to see a soap opera take a look at the Toronto school board. Police have to stand outside, a trustee was charged for forcible confinement, vote themselves raises after being told by the government not too, They are actually setting up the argument to do away with school boards.
  25. http://www.torontosun.com/2014/08/11/ontario-elementary-teachers-meet-ahead-of-contract-talks Now I will agree with the NDP are reviled. Not unfairly unless you compare them to the Liberals. The Ontario Liberals should be even more despised than the NDP or the P.C's that I will agree with. The NDP years were a terrible time during a recession. The recession was by no means Rae's fault. His reaction too it was the issue. When everybody was hurting ,He made welfare much more appealing than working. The start of the over regulation of businesses started and the tax hikes that scared businesses away. Over spending with pet projects. His MPP's ran for a new job when the election neared. In the end He saw how out of control it had all gotten and started cutting. Hello "Rae Days". He is likely the smartest person in politics but he was a just a very bad premier. (WOW, got off topic there) The teachers will follow which ever party will give them the most. I have no issue with raises for teachers, doctors or nurses but my issue is with the side deals. Maintenance contracts, administrators and the bureaucrats tht suck us all dry. Unions don't care about teacher raises. They want more teachers for more union dues. The teachers unions have proven time and time again they care nothing about the students.
