k But back to the topic. I showed three articles that disagree with your opinion that were from more trusted news sources including the CBC. Something is not working with the math curriculum and the longer it is denied the more damage it will do to the students. Not saying scrap it I am saying that a more basic view is needed.

Uhm.....This is a U.K. report written by a very biased opinion. It is lacking what a work week in the U.K for teachers is. How many professional days are given. What the rate of pay is and benefits compared to Canadian teachers. We have discussed the amount of time worked till we are all suffering from raw fingers. there are many opinions but we all agree it is pretty close when you take in the summer vacation factor plus one of the most envied pensions around.

In his defense he started the thread. He has a passion about education. He does truly seem to care about teachers which he feels translates to caring for students. I disagree with his all or nothing 21st century learning is the only way to teach but he has in the past showed some great articles on where it is lacking. He cannot make a point himself and usually resorts to name calling when people differ in opinion and back it up. But he does care about this topic for some reason. I am interested because I have children in the public school system . Wait I dont poke fun at your spelling or grammar and you claim to be an educator.

The three articles I left were from other news sources including the beloved CBC. But I know you wont little things like facts stand in your way

As much as you may despise people not having to walk around with a cell phone or doing simple math in their heads it is a necessary skill like reading. The Liberal party is the Liberal party. Will say anything to get elected and than say "oooops, sorry I guess we just were too ambitious" I knew Dalton was lying in 2003. I guess he was the only one that didn't know that Ontario was in a financial mess. He was busy with the election and all. Wynne jumped on Hudak for talking of eliminating 100,000 jobs. Hudak was a terrible leader that walked into every trap the Liberals laid out for him. 38% of the people in Ontario are lemmings for voting for the Liberals and would love to have sen a poll asking how many people that voted Liberal would have if they knew Wynne was going to get a majority.

I can't say I have an issue with the new curriculum. It is a changing world and proving that a broken clock is right twice a day Socialist is right that kids are having sex younger and younger. That being said parents should have a right to pull their children out of the class if they so chose and at the end of the day this whole thing is just to change the topic from the Sudbury bi-election. That little stunt the government pulled with the war on science because one member of the party ha a different belief was more than a little tacky but it did scream a Deb Matthews stunt.

I know it is a small number. But so was that little boy needing eye surgery. Or that girl who needed surgery to reinforce her neck and spine. These people were told no but Jill wants to become Jack well OK than lets fill out those forms. Personally I could care less what a person wants to do with their body. None of my business and better spent on a sex change than another Liberal boondoggle. But I feel I would be happier if my wife had bigger breasts. That is not covered. My daughter needed braces. Did not get any help there. Sex change operations are a medical treatment and I don't understand why that is more important than a persons life.

Not alot they can do. It is after all a free forum and must have free speech. I may suspect that it is just one individual playing games but I could not prove it. Fine but if we are talking about the importance of medical treatment I would prefer that a person live than resources going to a psychological issue such as feeling he or she was born in the wrong body. My eye sight sucks and require glasses and eye exams which are not covered. I have a tooth ache and require a dentist also not covered.

Why do they require it? Evolution made that person a man or woman. We do not pay for cosmetic surgery. I have a buddy who had his ear burned off and can't afford a prosodic one. OHIP will not cover it. You jut said in front of everybody people that do not believe in evolution that they should not have the right to vote. Who are you to talk of intolerance?

World class services such as.......gas plants.......ORNGE....... These things added to the debt how did this help with world class services? How come with the debt and services we are sending people to the U.S. for life saving medical services. I donated money for a girl in a small town for surgery that OHIP refused. A sneeze could have killed her. A evil corporation paid for a young boy to get surgery so he could have sight.OHIP also refused that. But they will pay for a sex change operation. I agree with education and health care. Never said otherwise. But when I see MY,YOURS and everybody's hard earned tax dollars spent on whim's or flushed down the toilet than yeah I get a little pissy. Please don't take away my vote. I believe in evolution but I figure you will go after conservatives next.

Greece is a country. Ontario is a province in one of the richest countries in the world. A little different. If you wish to compare I would look at California. But that example hurts your argument because it has less debt, a larger population and a higher GDP. But I know you are not one to let facts prove you wrong so...... Do you feel it is better to be spending money on debt or infrastructure? How many people could those countless billions have helped or employed? Of course countries have debt but Ontario's has spiraled out of control and Premier Wynne would rather talk about peoples religious beliefs.

So you wish to take the vote away from the religious. So how is that different than saying you can't vote cause your black or a woman? So you are prejudice against those that practice a belief you do not. I am not a church goer. I believe religion has held mankind back over the centuries but I would never say "You should not have a right to vote because you believe in something"

Ontario pays over 10 billion a year just on interest. It is the third biggest expense after Health care and education. Wynne and party has increase the debt combined with the credit rating going down which mean's higher rates. Would you not see that money going to infrastructure? Yes debt is a way of life but when you are only paying the minimum payments on your credit card while applying for new ones it only can last for so long. What is being ignored with this sex ed news cycle is the fact the public sector unions are voting for strikes and the teachers unions are right beside them. So are you agreeing with Wynne her economic plan with cutting or with the unions?

She had a good day. I gave her that. Tomorrow might not be as rosy. With her staff possibly going to jail. Wynne and her government have never shown they have a economic ability to control costs or the ability to use taxpayers money wisely. You may not feel the deficit is important but investors do.

I have made it very clear about my feelings towards Wynne and the Ontario Liberals but yeah she beat the consevatives like the rented mule of a red headed step child. This is why we right wingers get a bad rep. I honestly don't care that the woman is a lesbian. I feel kids should be taught in this day and age about families that may not be the same as theirs. She won this one battle huge and it was a good one. Now about that bribe in sudbury.......
