Yes, it was a flippant comment - i know. The point is; 2 of the three investigations are little more than fact finding missions and the third (the Meuller investigation) as of now has nothing on Trump himself, maybe Flynn. In fact, as of right now no crime has been committed. At least with Nixon, there was an actual crime to begin with. I think Obama's comments we're more intimidating than what Trump ever said.

I assume we're talking about Trump giving the opinion of what he had "hoped" Comey would do. And another thing, this isn't even a criminal investigation, it's a fact finding mission. There really is no "justice" to obstruct. As much as CNN and MSNBC want to invoke Nixon and Watergate, Nixon did actually obstruct Justice because he was directly involved in a criminal act. The Dems and media are hoping that something...anything presents itself, because the Russia thing is not a crime. What I hope they find is the leakers, the unmaskers and the Wiki leaker (and it won't be the Russians).

I think you're gonna need more than that. All you really have is a guy giving his unwanted opinion, inappropriate maybe, but not criminal.

I understand completely, I also understand that you are making huge leaps in knowing what Trump is thinking. That's not good enough, Comey felt pressured, yet filed no report and didn't slow the investigation - he ramped it up? Doesn't sound like a guy under pressure to dump a case to me. A decent lawyer will rip Comey's memo to shreds. Comey wasn't actually the investigator...and the investigation goes on. Firing somebody doesn't and was never gonna change that. As Dershowitz says, "where's the crime?". Sorry dude, you're watching too much Maddow.

There was plenty to fire comey over. The way Comey handled the Russian issue from the beginning to the day he got fired was inappropriate. He even admitted that he may have had an impact on the election - he used poor judgement, went outside his authority and lost the trust of everybody. That's good enough, and any lawyer in the world will win that argument.

How is that a bombshell? Usually, when you fire someone you feel you are solving a problem.

To be fair, you guy's don't know that Rich's death wasn't an inside job either. All conspiracy theories have a certain amount of coincidences, and the Rich case sure has plenty of coincidences.

If a president can stand up and say Hillary is innocent of any wrongdoing while a formal investigation is still ongoing - and that's deemed ok, then I hardly think saying "i hope you can see clear to let this go", is considered obstruction. I know that you really want this, but even many pundits who really hate him, are saying impeachment likely won't happen. FYI, this is not so much about impeachment for the Dems as it is about the next election.

He's not getting impeached. It's pretty clear that everyone has some baggage, but to impeach Trump sets a very low precedent for impeachment, one that I'm sure Obama and Hillary don't want to see lowered. Do the Dems want to opt for the scorched earth policy? Personally, I'd like to hear more about the Clinton foundation and their relationships.

Well, Obama has at least 2 obstructions on record. There was never any outrage, so they all kinda slipped under the radar, but when I have time, maybe I'll find some others..

Just trying to remember if Obama squelched any FBI investigations besides those of Hillary and that IRS thingy? I know he tried to influence other things like Treyvon Martin and Darren Wilson, but I wonder just how many times he actually obstructed justice.

It doesn't sound like Israel is too worried about the intel - whatever it was. However, low and behold someone in some unnamed country is bothered - imagine that. When something illegal is proven...or even given evidence to, then Trump has actually done nothing wrong. If the Democrats didn't take every issue to 11, have people lie or spin the truth, and constantly rely on "unverified sources" then some of this stuff might seem believable. IOW, the Dems have cried wolf so often that who really knows what is real and what is not. It seems that all it takes is "an unnamed source said...." and you people are off and running.

The people of Crimea seemed ok with the change. Also, Russia doesn't have an extradition treaty with USA and Canada even with one wouldn't send Snowden (or anyone else) back knowing they could face the death penalty. How many Vietnam draft dodgers are still here? How many did we send back?

The obvious other side of the equation is that not one single Democrat gave Russia a second thought while Putin was bending over Obama, but low and behold on Nov. 9th Putin and Russia became the biggest threats to the world - so much that the Dems are trying to produce another cold war. BTW - Russia had every right to take over Crimea, Snowden is just a meh!, and had Obama not bungled Syria, relations with Putin might actually be better for the US.

To be fair, Trump never said what or what kind of info he shared. I would suspect that in any of these meetings certain info is shared, it's the nature of the information that's in question, and that we'll probably never know...unless, like with the Obama administration, a guy gets whacked immediately after being outed.

I can't wait until Canadians start getting charged like this under Trudeau's new laws.
