  1. Udunno? The UN seems pretty happy with them.
  2. Obviously, but I think Omni can only handle one reason per day. Maybe tomorrow I'll describe how she is a lying douche bag.
  3. There are lots of reasons that added up to a Hillary loss, I'll give you just one - GREED! The leftist media were so giddy in their projections that they were talking about a complete sweep. Their polls had her leading in all the toss-up states and leading or closing in on many Republican states. Instead of securing the "rust belt", she wanted to embarrass Trump and chose to go to places that Dems never usually win in a attempt to win by a yuge margin. Unfortunately, as many of us knew, the polls were wrong and her trust in them cost her - Bigly.
  4. How long until Merkel decides (on her own) to take a bigger role in NATO and put more money towards it?
  5. Look, you sit there thinking that the strength of the USA military is somehow reflective of you - very weird...but whatever, anyway to go forth and diminish anything that that the Canadians did in either World War is way out of line. It wasn't until Trudeau sr. that Canada became pussified.
  6. No, we're slipping further and further into socialism...this should move us ever closer.
  7. ...and lets not stop there, if you think that giving a mandatory 30% raise to minimum wage workers won't affect the welfare and disability people, think again. Cost of living increases will mean a raise for all of them too.
  8. This isn't just about minimum wage. As Boges mentioned in his status update, there are people already making 11-15$ per hour, what about them? "I've gone to trade school, I'm in a construction job, I'm an apprentice...and now i'm making minimum wage - the same as the teenage barista or burger flipper". Of course, they'll need raises too in order to attract workers. What about the lab techs, E.A's, janitors - the CUPE people who are making 20-21$? You don't think CUPE is gonna jump all over the government insisting that their workers deserve more than 5$ per hour than a Tim's employee? A waitress getting minimum wage can also get big tips, so now we are gonna have to tip a poor young girl making $250-300 per day - while restaurant prices will surely spike. We'll actually end up with teenage waitresses making more than some adult people with full education and/or risking life and health every day.
  9. I'll preface by saying that I did vote Liberal. However, coalition governments are a bad idea. The Green people voted Green because they didn't want the NDP, and most that I saw speaking up were very adamant that they were not NDP, that they were Green. Even when asked to flip their votes for strategic purposes, they were offended at the notion. I also realize that the idea of Green voters being closer to NDP ideals is out there, but even I was surprised at the numbers of Greens who would otherwise had voted for Liberal. I know the other side is gonna argue that more people voted against the Liberals than for the Liberals, so therefore it's all OK, but I gotta think there are many Greens who are very disappointed with this outcome.
  10. Thank you, it was a joke made to lighten the air. My wife tells me to be careful sometimes...that people don't always get my humour. That said, it's also a comment that speaks to the idea that regardless of culture, political beliefs, Ideology, religious beliefs and genetics, there are always those racist accusers there to reduce it down to simple skin colour. Most people who use this method know it to be false, and use it not in defence of their point, but as an attack on the supposed racist. Omni is different, he actually believes that once we're all the same colour, then there is nothing left to fight about. This is pure naivety and something he should've learned is incorrect by the time he entered full time elementary school.
  11. I think we all agree that Trump is a little pervy and Trudeau is a little creepy - 2 pages of this crap, c'mon. Lets get on with it.
  12. They have every right to think whatever they want. You don't Trump looks at half these people as fools, you think Merkel is happy with the UK right now? Unlike Trudeau and Obama, Trump isn't there to cater to people who clearly can't get their own shit together. The US pays nearly 4% of the GDP and leads everything NATO, while most of the remaining group (who insist on a "one for all, all for one cliche) cant even be bothered to pay their way. Sorry, I generally hate to defend the americans, but without the USA, there is no NATO.
  13. I challenge you to read this aloud without laughing.
  14. "Eye rolls"...well, jump back! Yeah, what I saw was Trump walking and having people on either side of him constantly watching him..."who is he gonna talk to", "when will he stop walking", he controlled the stops, the chatting, and even the cadence at which they walked. It was like watching that old cartoon with spike and that little dog. Sorry, You can listen to the bias interpretations from Maddow and her group, but pictures speak 1000 words - and those pictures spoke loudly.
  15. Clearly the NATO partners don't think he's a clown. It's major headlines that he didn't shout "all for one and one for all" during his speech. One can only take away from that that the entire world is saying "please say you'll protect us Mr. Trump, won't you...huh?". Say what you will about Trump, but every picture, every video with the NATO group was of Trump and everyone else around him. Was "Justin from Canada" even there? P.S - I hate to play in to BC' M.O, but that's the truth.
  16. Well, maybe you have an opinion on why 47 UN countries voted to install SA on the women's rights commission. You've been railing on the hypocrisy of SA giving money for women entrepreneurs, so you must have a pretty solid explanation for your disparity in beliefs.
  17. Obviously I'm not talking about those people. I'm referring to the top few business people that every city has.
  18. Totally agree! Hair texture is a big issue also.
  19. I agree, but the left sure do rely on their judgement.
  20. The UN seems to be Ok with gender equality in Saudi Arabia https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/04/un-think-saudi-arabia-can-teach-us-gender-equality/#
  21. I don't know much about Star Trek Wars and whatnot, but if anyone here enjoy's books (it's also a movie but...) grab a copy of 1953's Ray Bradbury book Fahrenheit 451. Nice afternoon read, but amazingly accurate for where we are today.
  22. Well, Buffett is more of an investor and Gates is more of an inventor. Trump is a developer - of course he has questionable deals on his resume. Trump has spent his life dealing with shakedowns from labour unions and the mob, inspectors and other developers. Yeah, it's not hard to criticize Trump, but you have to have a certain understanding of what people are...and especially why.
  23. Something tells me "trump screws contractors" is gonna come back somewhat bias. That said, what I do know about business and business people is that in every community, the local businessmen are all considered "bad guys". It's engrained in the fabric of our culture, every car dealer and land developer is considered scum, we give them nasty nicknames and make t-shirts where they adorn devil horns. In Vancouver it was Jim Pattison, in New York - Donald Trump. It's the same wherever you go. And, much of it is probably true. Donald Trump didn't get to where he is by losing deals or being sympathetic to his adversaries. I guarantee that it's better to be on Trumps side in a business deal than against him - this bodes well for the Americans.
  24. Well, that was rude. All i'm saying is that before I wade into a topic, I do my research. Unlike you, I don't take the media (any media) at face value.
  25. Well, that's a different subject, one i might agree with. Until I see details, i'll stay out of it.
