  1. Now I'm crossed, should I believe Alan Dershowitz or Omni and Wilbur?
  2. Man, does Dershowitz ever have a lot of pictures on his wall.
  3. But, you do admit that Comey's actions were questionable...right?
  4. But did Comey rise above partisan politics? His actions are questionable.
  5. Well, I would agree in your scenario. However, what is Trump supposed to say "you know what I mean there Jimbo". Now, if Trump did that (with a wink wink), then you really got something. Any lawyer in the land would rip Comey apart for assuming the worst case scenario and dragging someone into court for a miscommunication.
  6. But that wasn't the first meeting. The first meeting, Comey intentionally sets up a situation whereas he could talk to the President alone. For all Trump knew, this is how Comey prefers to work.
  7. Considering the circumstances and what Comey went through during the election, So is asking him if he still likes/wants his job.
  8. In Comey's testimony, he says that the first time they met, he waited for everyone to leave, then proceeded to have a private conversation with Trump
  9. NO, If a person disagrees or isn't quite sure of the implications, they need to speak up. Did Trump give a wink wink or brush his finger to his nose as he spoke? Now that would be proof.
  10. I think Comey set the standard for one-on-one talks with Trump though.
  11. Look, do I think Trump tried to put his finger on the scale? - Possibly. I mean, to a point, hasn't everybody from the local police chief all the way to and including Barack Obama. Or, he could have been offering up his opinion...or his feelings - who knows for sure? Comey can express his feelings, why cant Trump? What I do know is this; there is not even close to enough evidence to do diddly squat about it. Except feign outrage. And, as for the "loyalty" crap, didn't Trudeau demand loyalty of his people?
  12. Good question. It's the responsibility of the person being spoken to, the person who is not quite sure of the situation. Comment: "I hope you can see clear to let him go"... Response: "I understand that you haven't been made clear of the details, Mr President, however this is a very serious matter that we have to proceed with. I assure you though, Mr. Flynn will be treated as fairly as possible". Or, "Excuse me Mr President, but it's inappropriate for us to be discussing an open investigation in private". Anything but silence.
  13. When my boss says "he hopes", I usually...actually always express to him that "I can" or "I can not do that". You know, have a grown up conversation and to guage exactly what he means and exactly what I can do about that "hope". Unlike Comey, I don't assume anything.
  14. Are you sure he said "personal loyalty"? I know that's how MSNBC are framing it, but are you sure? Anyway, Comey knew about the fake news reports, Comey knew that Trump wasn't being investigated. Trump asked him to find a way to clear the air so Trump could get on with his job, and seemingly asked him a couple times, and Comey kept on saying he passed it off. The last time Trump talked to him, Comey gave him a "we'll see" and admitted that he made no attempt to bother with it. Trump obviously knew what "we'll see" meant and fired him. Comey was too honourable to leak or put out word that Trump wasn't under investigation, but apparently just fine leaking private conversations with president. Hmmm. I think that's about it. Comey put himself before the betterment of the country, should've been fired and was fired. BTW - You're dreaming if you think they'll stick an obstruction or Impeachment on Trump based on Comey's testimony.
  15. Oh, I'll watch...and I'll enjoy every watching liberal squirm and twist and try to change the goalposts. Today i watched many liberal pundits try to explain away all the big issues, all the media lies (that Comey called them out for) and turn to the minutia to claim some sort of victory. Watching Van Jones and Jeffery Toobin come unglued was "must see TV"
  16. you just dont get how these things work, do you?
  17. So, I think he fired him over something else entirely...and have said so. What of it? Most people get fired for reasons that aren't the reason on record - I can live with that. What I find really telling is that you people and the MSM have now stooped to arguing the minutiae. Trump asked for loyalty, Trump lied about the firing, Trump still has bad hair...who gives a chit, Trump was not investigated, Trump has nothing to do with Russia, Trump wanted Comey to proceed with Russia investigation, Trump (according to Comey) never requested Comey drop the Flynn case. Why don't we talk about that?
  18. Well, he leaked a private conversation that he had while director of the FBI, written while director of the FBI, written on an FBI computer in an FBI vehicle and used/shared with other FBI personnal as a document to use against an elected official. If this isn't an FBI document, it sets a bad precedent. He may get away with it, but that should cause serious concern that a director of intelligence can and will do that. However, let's face it, what it really is is a barganing chip that he thought he could parlay into something else.
  19. But he did provide a leak to the press, right? And Trump did seem to know that's exactly what he'd do...right?
  20. Actually, If you go back a few pages, you'll see that he's upset that Obama didn't win the election.
