  1. UGGG! You are so dumb interesting.
  2. Obviously the possibility of tapes weighs heavily on him, he said as much in the testimony.
  3. That's exactly why. I don't think Comey lied about incidents so much as I think he exaggerated his feelings and reasons for his actions.
  4. Good grief! Yes, he said that, however - and I'll slow it down a bit for you, the threat of tapes makes Comey more honest in his testimony - just in case. IOW, he has to say things that he may not otherwise say - get it?
  5. I doubt there are tapes, however, I'm sure the thought of tapes kept Comey's testimoney in check.
  6. I think it's obvious that the Dems are down to hoping that Trump lies somewhere in his testimony. That's really all they got at this phase...the hope that a lie is forthcoming.
  7. It's a sad state of affairs when instead of seeing a possible crime and having an investigation, the government has an investigation with the hope that a crime gets committed in the process. That's political sleeze at it's worst.
  8. You mean US government officials spoke to a Russin diplomat - well jump back!
  9. I'm not a mind reader either, but I did listen to Comey tell us that Lynch had him change and soften the narrative on the Hillary investigation...and I did sleep in a Holiday Inn express last night.
  10. Not sure I'm comfortable with CNN's new tagline - "More than ever, our mission is clear".  Really?  So they're not even pretending anymore?  Is this really how they're selling themselves now?  Yikes!

I guess "The most trusted name in news" just doesn't work anymore.

    2. hot enough
  11. Yes, he did. Trump is not one of these PC CYA politicians is he. In every one of these hearings, you get the politician - from either side thank the witness for their service, then proceed to rip them apart. It reminds me of the sports coach "kiss of death" when the GM talks glowingly only to fire the guy the next week.
  12. Yes, it was a good photo op, however, I think it's obvious that neither person liked or trusted the other.
  13. That depends on which investigation, I suppose. However, it seems preety clear there is nothing to the collusion and as far as the obstruction, it's still very very thin - If obstruction is even possible from the president. And no, no one would ever be convicted for saying something so innocuous, without corroborating evidence.
  14. I'm pretty sure that you know what Lynch asked for - and got.
  15. It seems Comey offered up the information unsolicited, Trump asked him to make it public.
  16. Helpless in his meetings with Trump. Maybe he didn't want to have a clear understanding . I do find it hard to believe that he'd never heard somebody give an opinion on a case he was working. Especially with the Lynch revelations and the thinly veiled suggestion from Obama regarding the Hillary investigation. You know, I watched an interview with an NFL linebacker who refused to go to the Whitehouse after a Superbowl victory. Now, I listened to this 300lb black NFL player tell the interviewer with a straight face that he'd never heard anyone talk about "grabbing a woman's pussy" the way Trump did. This dude acted genuinely shocked that a person would talk that way. What's the point you ask? Well, I'm not for Trump so much as I'm against crap like this. I'm against people lying to us and to themselves. I'm against the idea of pretending that we're something we're not. Sometime, somewhere every guy has talked or at least though like this, and every woman has their nasty actions and thoughts too. I don't support Trump as much as I reject the media and the direction they're taking us.
  17. Does it make sense that Lynch actually told him to change the narrative of an investigation, yet Trump says "I hope" and Comey is rendered helpless? Does it make sense that he coulda turned his memo's over to the authorities, yet chose to leak them (through a friend) to the NYT - who BTW seemed to get most of the good leaks. Does it make sense that he could bail out Hillary in the press, but not the president? Sorry, a lot of what Comey said didn't make sense - considering his professional position.
  18. Of course people are going to thank him for his service...yada yada! There is no need to kick a guy who's just been fired. The real test as to what they think will come later. Before yesterday, I thought Comey was probably pretty decent guy who happened to be caught in the middle of a bad situation. But no, after yesterday's testimony, he's created everything that's happened to himself. He was self serving, Trump saw it and acted. You don't lie and cheat the president and expect to keep your job.
  19. All we're seeing here is a bitter James Comey picking a fight with a president that he clearly never intended to get along with. The democrats and the media love it - of course they do, they finally think they have a tool in their baseless attempt to remove Trump. These people would've fired Comey on day 1 of Hillary's presidency, now he's their champion.
  20. Here's something that I just can't get past; Everyone says that the big issue is that the Russians have infiltrated the election, it has also been stated that there is no evidence of collusion from the Trump campaign, so...why is nobody asking about the Democrats role, the DNC, Wasserman-Schultz, Podesta or Hillary? It seems to me that whatever the Russians may have done, was likely done through the Democrats. Where is the real investigation?
  21. Well, his announcement that Hillary was clear, his bending over for Lynch, his re-announcement of the Hillary "matter", his weakness around everything Trump, his apparent shock at Trumps "suggestion" even thou he'd obviously faced this before - see Lynch, his allowing himself to discuss cases in private with Trump, his refusal to clear Trump, his refusal to call out the "fake media", starting a personal file against the president, leaking to the press, used his memos to manipulate the government, dragging his friend into a scandal, lying to the president. These things (and i'm probably forgetting a lot) all came to light yesterday - I wonder just how much we don't know. Now, you'll likely defend some of these questionable decisions as defense or done out of necessity, but everything he has done, he could've done something else - something better or more honest. He chose the worst path nearly every time he had a decision to make. He was also stringing the president along and giving him the obviously empty "we'll see" routine - a routine we use for our kids when we actually have no intention to do anything. This alone should've had him fired and really the last time they talked, this was the conversation and the lie Comey gave to the president. Is it possible that Trump saw through this thinly veiled lie and decided that that was enough - I think so!
  22. Have you ever wondered why Trump never seems worried about...and even welcomes investigations into himself.
  23. He said it was the way it was handled. It seems a stretch to assume he meant that it was because he didn't want his team investigated - especially since Comey confirmed that Trump wanted to find out if his "satellites" were in any way involved.
  24. I thought Trump was a liar though
