terrorists occupy gov't office in Oregon
Derek 2.0 replied to The_Squid's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
A 120 rounds is nothing for a gaggle of police, and again, outside of movies, the vast majority would be nowhere near on target, from officers that seconds earlier had a pick-up bearing down on them. -

No, its easier to draw with ones dominant hand.....Do you ever decide to sign your name with the other hand? -

Driver and front passenger around ~2:00 mark and on. Who knows, isn't that the question asked of cops often in our police shooting threads? There wouldn't be a guy in the helicopter with a rifle (that is movie stuff), too unstable and too far up/away.........and wouldn't see impacts if they didn't hit the truck. I know the one you're talking about, you can see it after the crash too, I'm assuming that is a paper/map book or a hat on the dash.....look before and after the crash driver's side right above where the VIN# would be. -

Why would a right handed man carry a 9mm in his left pocket? There are numerous types of holsters, including pocket holsters, so that isn't an issue, other than why he wouldn't be wearing one and carrying on his weak side. -

No, one of the passengers stated there were shots fired after they stopped earlier, which could be the reason for buggering off again, after he was already stopped and putting his hands out the window. -

You can see several bullet holes in the windshield, post crash, that weren't there when it was stopped prior........ You claim it absurd, but it was stated by one of the women in the car, further to that, would explain why, after him having his hands out the window after stopping, he then took off again. -

Why would a right handed person be reaching for a holstered gun on his left side? And yet, one of the women in the truck stated they were shot at when first stopped. Of course. The media is quoting a statement released by police.......... ------------ My question, why does the footage appear to skip at the 39:40 mark (14:08 in the youtube video).? -

You are suggesting LEOs would fire (any device) into the parked truck, from an officer off camera, into the direction of the officers in the roadblock and the officers circling around the drivers side? You consider that most likely? -

No, he was on his back with his hands up.............I wonder why McConnell wasn't charged with anything? And your point? They were up/away from is body when he was shot a second time on the ground........and motionless with his hand away from his body, as he was still being targeted minutes later, evident by the lasers painting his body (13:20 second mark)... Other than what was stated by the FBI to the press.... -

Would you run away after being shot or shot at? -

Reaching to his lower left side, well twisting right with his knees bent? I too want to see the autopsy report. How is that? If he was shot when he was first parked, seconds before crashing the truck and being killed, or even if shot by police at the roadblock, he'd be in shock.......as you can clearly count in the snow, he only made a handful of steps well favoring his left side, with his hands up, then reaches to his side after stumbling (about 9:30 mark)....... -

Didn't McConnell claim to witness it from his jeep and state Finicum charged police as Ammon Bundy was on the ground being detained? The guy is full of shit. They were still up when he was on the ground dead. Did Ryan Bundy receive a gun shot wound from nonlethal devices? -

By flinch, I'm referring to the same movement........right handed guy reaches to his left side to get a gun even though he is shown to wear it on the right side? Right handed guy reaches to his left side after being injured or shot seconds earlier well walking through deep snow? -

Well stumbling.....and wouldn't grabbing for an injured body part be a natural reaction? My question, why did he run? After he is shot, and the helicopter starts circling, you can see what appears to be a bullet hole on the drivers side windshield.....LEO's wouldn't fire into an empty driver seat, and they wouldn't fire into the stuck truck with other LEO's backstopping it.........so he was shot at either as he closed on the roadblock (Darwin move by police attempting to kill an oncoming driver) or was shot at when he was stopped prior for several minutes, when you can see his hands out the drivers side window........ Not justification, but if you were parked and shot at, what would you do after crapping yourself? -

Right hand across his body to the left side? None the less, after nearly creaming a Trooper in the Snow bank with the truck, hands out the window is the correct answer.... -

Actually it does (to an extent), well disproving the above McConnell claim without a doubt......first it shows Finicum with his hands up and being shot, then shot again on the ground (officers on the bottom of the screen, one with an M4). Though he can be seen flinching and reaching for his left lower side with his right hand, I wonder if at that point he'd already been shot and was reacting or injured in the crash.........not a likely move for drawing an automatic handgun (as the FBI claimed to find on him), as cross (cavalry) drawing is a thing of the past and intended for wheel guns....the autopsy report and investigation of the police shooting should release more details.........none the less, running after being pulled over (and nearly creaming the agent in the snow bank) is a sure fire way to receive a Darwin Award. I'm surprised with them unloading into the truck, only Ryan Bundy received a shoulder wound though. Apparently, both Pacific Patriot Network, 3%ers and Oathkeepers issued a stand-by order, waiting on further details. -

How are we splitting hairs? As I said, my wife practiced her profession, well receiving additional training, under a J-1 visa. If those circumstances aren't applicable to you, as said, talk to a lawyer. The issue is what? I relayed our friends (and my wife's) experience, which very much so included (as cited) the writing of exams in the State one wishes to practice in, which is a legal requirement. I didn't speak to their content or their difficulty, as I am not in the healthcare profession. From your link: As I said, talk to an American immigration lawyer......as one, I'm not an immigration lawyer, and two, my wife's (or friends experiences) might differ, as they were over a decade ago (two now for my wife) and laws, regulations and rules do change.......what is clear (and highlighted in your above link), there are several other alternative, and legal, methods to make the switch. -

Yes and no, she was admitted as a resident into their pediatric dentistry program, so yes was fully employed, receiving a salary etc, no in that she was in a program that applied to her completing 2/3rds of her Orthodontics certificate and her Masters degree (Oral biology).......which she completed several years later after our second child. Ahhh there is if you want to practice medicine and not end up a resident in prison......each State will have different rules and reciprocity agreements (for exams, credentials etc).....dependent on which State, some will very much so treat your Canadian credentials as their own.........as I said, your best bet is to first short list a handful of States you would be interested in going to, contact their Boards and talk to a lawyer. A lawyer in the United States? -
