  1. Likewise the Trudeau Government's support of the Site C Dam, in BC's Peace River, is but a scheme to spend waste billions on "green energy" that will devastate not only the natural environment of Northern British Columbia, but also destroy farmland that could feed one million+ people.......to say nothing of a land grab from local First Nations, land that includes several burial sites......... The irony, this mega "green project" isn't needed for BC's power needs and several proposed wind farms (including one in the Peace River) could generate an equal amount of energy, at an actual cheaper rate then Site C... Furthermore, Trudeau's own Minister of Justice, when she's not charging taxpayers for expenses to Liberal fundraisers, actually protested the Site C mega project several years ago.....and now, stands silent. In one fell swoop the Trudeau Government went back on the Paris agreement and its many promises to First Nations.........I would argue the current Federal government doesn't actually have a "environmental policy".... ............. I wonder if the pressures (and guilt) of being the Minister in charge of granting Federal approval of Site C help contribute to Hunter Tootoo's personal problems earlier this year.....it seems at least one Liberal MP is breaking ranks with the Trudeau Liberals over their double dealing with the environment and First Nations.......
  2. Without a doubt, and that is why I focused more on my own Province, that does currently have a building boom....Victoria just passed Calgary and is now the third most expensive place to live in Canada.......this growth will very likely stall with an increase in drywall prices, with current and then budgeted projects based on the cheaper American products......... ......Trudeau poking the Americans in the eye over drywall will very much so result in American tariffs on BC softwood lumber.....which would crater one of the major sectors of BC's economy.. Before Notley is forced to buy Site C power, someone will also have to pay a fortune for new transmission lines.......LNG and future BC growth aside, the Americans were/are the targets for hydro power generated from the massive "Hero Project"......... ................... Though I've voted for the BC Liberals since the Socreds folded, and will likely vote for them next year, Site C would be the reason I didn't vote for them.......The BC Greens have indicated that with the money to be pissed away on Site C, we could build an equal amount (in terms of power generated) of Wind/Solar/Tidal/Geothermal plants and still pay less per kilowatt.............It is a major issue here in BC, and if Clark losses next year, will be one of likely causes........And Trudeau, who made huge Liberal gains in BC last year, has rubber stamped it and in doing so is pissing off people (In BC) from all political stripes..... And what did the Chinese do in return? Slap new standards on Canadian canola imports that could cost Canadian farmers billions.......the cost of (not) doing business..... They sure won't if the two largest markets on the planet start slapping protectionist roadblocks on Canadian goods and resources.........
  3. ......is aimed at appeasing gypsum producers in Ontario and penalizing US producers that supply Western Canada, that the Trudeau government accuses of dumping onto the market.....the problem though, this is going to hurt builders in Western Canada, namely British Columbia's Lower Mainland and Greater Victoria region (which have some of lowest unemployment rates in Canada) and without a doubt help cool one of the most positive sectors in BC's economy......this, combined with the BC Liberal's foreign buyer's tax, should help stall BC's real estate market.....and in turn, one of the few Province's with an actual stable economy....... ..........But it gets even better.......the previous Liberal governments handling of softwood lumber (which the Americans accused us of dumping on their market) was one of many reasons that British Columbians soured on the Federal Liberals in the 1990s and early 2000s (With softwood only be resolved by the Harper Government)....Now the Liberals are accusing the Americans of dumping drywall? What do you figure the Americans response will be with softwood lumber? We are weeks away from the end of the softwood lumber deal's (which expired last year) grace period, at such time, the Americans can launch a counter trade actions against Western Canadian lumber....... Trudeau........you're doing it wrong.......and if they think they can blame this on protectionist Americans in Washington, just wait until (if) Trump becomes president.........Oh well, look at it this way, when the BC forestry industry dries up, following the construction and real estate markets, BC will always have "cheap hydroelectric energy" to sell to the Americans generated from the Site C Dam (Which Trudeau also approved )
  4. Nah, he shakes hands with supporters...during his rally several weeks ago for parents that lost children to illegal aliens, he was even getting hugs and kisses.
  5. Exactly, polls are polls, but several weeks ago the polls were showing Clinton ahead in Republican Georgia.....Trump is back in the lead......what should be worrying for the DNC is that Nevada and New Hampshire are now in play, not only for Trump, but their Senate seats..... To put this in context, most of these polls were conducted prior to Clinton alienating upwards of 1/3rd of all Americans and doing her Weekend at Bernie's impression on 9/11....
  6. Thats if she even makes it to the office.........I'd always thought Bill would have croaked long before Hillary..
  7. Not at all, and I'd be surprised if Trump wasn't hiding any health issues of his own.
  8. No need for a database other then Google in the case of our Prime Minister.
  9. Without a doubt there is a measure of discretion granted to each agent.........but would that mean on a future visit, an agent aware of his admitted drug use, could deny him entry (absent a written waiver from the State Department/DHS)?????
  10. That is obvious, I'm not denying he was allowed to enter, I want to know why Trudeau can (i.e the law that allows US Federal law to be waived) but a regular Canadian can't....... If Trudeau was invited, was he also granted a written waiver from the State Department.....the same waiver that any other Canadian can pay for and apply to receive???
  11. Sure, and that goes back to diplomatic immunity........it doesn't allow someone to forgo US law, personal inviolability is but convention.......and there is no expectation that any level of US law enforcement won't uphold the law........ergo, Joe-Blow Canadian that admits to being a reefer addict can't enter the United States because he broke Federal US laws, but Trudeau can....... Like I mused, something was waived for Trudeau, versus the guy that wanted to go see Mickey with his kid.....I just want to know what was waived and the mechanism that allowed Trudeau entry.
  12. Right, but where in the laws encompassing immunity does prior admitted drug use factor in?
  13. Is there though? I know for instance there is diplomatic leeway for entering the United States if one is traveling to New York to go to the UN...likewise a member (and their family) of an embassy.........but, and I could be wrong, I doubt there is some accord that allows recreational drug use related laws to be cast aside for those seeking entry into the United States....... Clearly something was waived to allow Trudeau entry, I just want to know what and if we payed for it.........
  14. Again, with polls saying its this close, I just can't see her pulling out and forgoing her decades long pursuit of being the first women President.
  15. My question, if border agents are able to ban a Canadian from entry for life (absent applying for and receiving an exemption from the US Government) if they admit to prior Pot use.........how did our Prime Minister gain entry for his Washington DC photo-op? Did he receive said exemption, and if so, did Canadian taxpayers pay for it?
  16. There won't be any ticket pulling unless Clinton packs it in......and I can't see her willingly doing that. Just can't see her doing that though.
  17. Again, I think it would be rather difficult......I think Clinton would have to bow out herself, citing health reasons, and I'd assume Kaine would move to the top of the ticket.
  18. That's what my wife and I were speculating it to be
  19. And the spotlight on Tim Kaine........
  20. That's what I was wondering.......she had a disaster of a week with her sinking in the polls, then Friday shooting herself in the foot by casting a wide negative net over millions of Americans.......and here she is at the 9/11 ceremony, standing only a few feet away from Donald Trump......maybe she had a major panic attack????
  21. As I said with Sanders, age now (unlike 36 years ago with Reagan) isn't really an issue........but actual health is and should be. This might not hurt her, but it won't help her, and will only make further questions about her and take her off message......and increase the focus (and importance) of her selection of Kane as her running mate.
  22. Not at all, she looks (in my opinion) like she's blackout drunk(not saying she's drunk) or suffering minor stroke....
  23. "Team Clinton" hasn't discounted or dismissed the video.........so I doubt it was "Team Putin Trump"....
  24. I doubt it......"Clinton Inc." is the DNC, unless she croaks, she won't be replaced.......too late in the game now.
