You stated the GoC didn't provide enough info when it issues a travel warning....... So in your mind, was the travel warning frivolous since no one was taken hostage? What year was this frivolous warning and to what country?

So when the GoC issues a travel warning, it's neglect in not providing further info? Can you cite an example of when that was the case, and in turn, after posting a travel warning, due to a lack of info, Canadians ignored it, and were taken hostage?

So the Government shouldn’t have a responsibility to these oil workers, since they pay no heed to travel warnings, but without them, the oil industry would be put at risk? Is that what you’re saying? So should non-oil-workers, like students, tourists, missionaries etc listen to travel warnings?

Indeed.........but you suggested the GoC should rescue Canadians with the JTF2......Your position is contradicting to say the least…….. So GoC issues a “frivolous travel warning” (your words), a Canadian chooses not to listen, gets taken hostage……the GoC is absolved of responsibility, but despite them not having the ability to do so, the Canadian Forces should rescue them via the JTF2.... Perhaps time for a reboot?
