  1. The Mother Jones link is exceptional in that it gives us a good look at Ron Paul in a nutshell. http://motherjones.com/mojo/2011/05/extreme-ron-paul-president-2012 It presents the issues in an easy to critique and truthful way which makes it easier to understand the whole impact of what he is doing, all on one page. On looking over them together in that way what becomes most obvious is that Ron Paul is appealing to the worst in people. He's camoflaging his racism and hatefilled agenda by presenting alternatives in a way that appeals to his followers' selfishness and exclusionist biases. The trouble is for his supporters though, is it's looking at the whole package which makes it unmistakably an agenda of hate and greed. It has tea partiers written all over it. It's scary to think that so many Americans are ready to accept this kind of hatefilled agenda of dishonesty. And it's not surprising that some of his more clever followers here on this forum are embarrassed by his agenda in this totality so obviously, that they are having to make excuses and say that it's not presented accurately by MJ. Ron Paul's future success in the campaign will be directly related to the the success of the worst in American society. It probably can't peak at any more than 25% but even this comes dangerously close to enabling a regime in America that is very similar to what enabled the Nazis prior to WW2. Glaring proof that a majority is not necessary. Ron Paul's agenda is the tea party's agenda, or what is left of the tea party and that is, the dregs that are tolerant of such ugliness.
  2. jbg, If you can't fathom a $500,000 surgery on an 85 year old then you seem to be in favour of death panels. In Canada I would consider it but understand at the same time that the surgery would cost far less. Therefore no need to consider a death panel. As far as everything else you said, I guess there is an appreciable difference in the opportunities awaiting us in retirement. In Canada we have prepared ourselves to be able to retire at age 65 and our funds are solvent enough to allow it. That's our reality and I was thinking that it could be the reality for Americans too. So when I talk about a 'fair shake' I'm not suggesting that the wealthy pay for it. We the people have paid for it through our working years and it will be there when we need it. I can't understand why that's not true in America today. I think a lot of people want to know why too, even though you pose an argument that could sound convincing to some Americans. To a Canadian, the argument completely fails to impress. And play down the ver real prospect of being bankrupted due to medical bills all you like. It's fact of life in your country and it's going to take a lot of brain work on the people to make them give up what could be with Obamacare.
  3. Yeah way off topic jbg, but I don't think you're right on most Americans being happy. I think they are mostly unhappy but have been convinced to believe that they should expect no better. The biggest cause of bankrupcy in your country is medical bills and I can't quite imagine people being happy with that. In fact I've heard many anecdotal stories of people who fear retirement because they know they won't be able to afford their medical expenses. People are working to 80 years old or even to death. I think you are attempting to speak for people who are a lot worse off than you are. How well off are you? You must have medical insurance and you must have several hundred thousand dollars put away for your retirement when you lose your medical insurance. Or perhaps you will keep it until death. I can't see how you would be representative of those people you speak for here. And the thing is, a change of attitude by the American people and an understanding that they do deserve a fair shake and normal retirement age and they could have it all. I just don't understand how their brainwashing trumps that! Is it becasue Americans don't believe the rest of the first world doesn't have what we say we have? I mean, maybe they really believe that we stand in lines dying for want of a doctor. Or that we have Palin's death panels?
  4. But that's only your opinion. Other people's opinions matter too. So if some peole didn't spend time in a police state they would find out quicker how to appreciate their freedoms. Don't try to impress your truths onto others. What's true to you is not true for others, or, what's true for others is not true for you. Disclaimer: That's not what I believe, it's what she told us she believes.
  5. That's it! Everyone gets to have their own truth! Therefore to people like you and other good cops everything is true at the same time as everything is false. Yeah, I get it now. Rather, I get 'you' now. I just looked outside and the sky is falling. It's true because I believe it's true. What a waste of time.
  6. I thought I knew what I was cyber but now you have me all confused. I believe that there is no god or gods and I don't believe in the supernatural. But I also don't believe 'in' gods or the supernatural. Could you help me out a little in understanding what I believe? Or where would I go to find literature to tell me which of your two I am. This may sit o.k. with the good cop but I can't leave it at that.
  7. Yeah, that's what I intend. If I can show it then you two have to leave. If I can't then I leave. It's a bet right? I show you a video of jews or israelis killing palestinians and you two leave. Take your time to think about it. I'll give you 24 hours.
  8. Would either of you two clowns care to find what I actually did say about Israelis killing Palestinians and then quote it accurately? Then stake your reputation on making the claim that what I said isn't true? And then if you are wrong you would promise to go away and never darken the doorstep of this forum again? I'm ready, let's do it! Or is this just another stupid claim dredged out of whole cloth like the claim that there are no Jews in Poland? Let me know when either of you think you're ready to play with the grownups.
  9. FWIW, there are over 29,000 jews currently living in Poland. So much for stupid people making wild claims. Deny that!
  10. It's good to ask questions Dog. How many Jews were in Poland in 1939 and how many are in Poland now. Your answer of how many are there now is wrong of course. (check baloney detector for wild claims) How many Polish Jews moved to Israel during the period in question. If we find the answer to these questions then we will then know how many Jews died of natural causes, or died of all other causes and we would be able to deduct that number from the number that moved elsewhere. They are difficult questions to answer and it's only been attempted by the IHR revisionists as far as I know. We would have to examine their numbers and then try to either disprove them or to substantiate them in some way. They provide little solid evidence themselves as their agenda appears to be a dishonest agenda at first glance. Noboby here seems to be willing to do that kind of research, rather they all seem to be preoccupied with making unsubstantiated claims with nothing to back them up! I'm not suggesting you research the questions Dog because it's pretty obvious that you aren't capable. Just that the issue you brought up may be of interest of others who are.
  11. The good cop personality will usually be able to justify any kind of odd behaviour. So yeah, it could have been the little boy's choice to have his father shake his hand. But still, we would need to wonder about what causes the little boy to choose abnormal behaviour from his father when in public. I feel that a simple display of emotion as seen in a kiss and a hug would be quite acceptable to 99% of people. But for some reason the little boy doesn't think so, Harper doesn't think so, and the good cop doesn't either. Having said that, we should be cautious about judging somebody as a 'good cop'. Sometimes it's as simple as the good cop just defending it's political preferences at all costs. We'll keep an eye on the good cop for a while in order to see if we witness anymore strange behaviour that is not within the norms of society. So far we have a reluctance to choose between a young earth and an old earth. Now that's gotta be the 'good cop' syndrome!
  12. Good grief, have you no reading comprehensioin at all? Of course Oscar Schindler was a person who existed. Can you at least understand that I said that the 'Schindler's List' story was a work of fiction? And then I also said that it's undoubtedly true that some Germans shot Jews for sport and probably vice versa. We do know Jews are just as capable because we've seen news flicks of them killing Palestinians and laughing about it. And we've also seen the biggest demonstration of that the world has ever witnessed when Americans gleefully massacred women, children, and babes in arms at MyLai. (granted I've seen film of Jews being shot by Germans too but in lesser numbers) I'm trying to bring out some facts here, not just rumour and dreamed up stories that can't be substantiated. Geeeeeezzzzz, some teenagers!
  13. Where are you getting all your information August? A lot of it doesn't agree with information that others are providing. We need to be sceptical of any and all claims August because there's too much wroing information floating around out there now. Providing wrong and unsubstantiated information does more harm that good to the holocaust story. You know how people were led to believe the Schindler's List story and were shown Jews being shot in cold blood for sport by Germans. And then they found out that Schindler's List was a work of pure fiction! That didn't help one bit in helping the sceptics to become believers. It strengthened the hand of the IHR revisionists. Now I'm certainly not saying that some Germans shot Jews for sport and probably vice versa. Dog knows that Americans who were not claimed to be of German descent did it with glee at MyLai to babes in arms. It's the brutality of war. We need some sources and then some other independent sources to back them up. check out the baloney detector.
  14. Well how intellectually dishonest can a person get Michael? Everybody should know by now that he's being forced into appeasing the rabid right congress in order to get through at least some progressive changes. Your best hope is that the people don't come together and give Obama some backing that he can work with. Chances are slim because the 'people' have already pretty well sold the farm out from under him.
  15. We need to work together to find some truth. You can't go through life not caring. And so we need to ask ourselves a few questions to start with to lead us in the right direction. Considering that the debate on what is the truth is between creationism and evolution, we could start by asking ourselves some direct questions. Choose between a billions of years old earth or a young earth around 10,000 years old. Or if you want to go through life pretending you're the good cop who can be nonbiased then just do that. I for one will just address everything you say as coming from a 'good cop personality'. You will be known as the good cop who supports truth along with garbage to keep the peace. Myself, I'll continue to speak my mind in trying to ferret out the truth. It would be a pretty boring forum if we all took your good cop approach wouldn't it!
  16. Bet they won't but the US will try to claim they did to demonize Iran even more!
  17. I think the biggest problem with Ron Paul is that his good ideas are impossible to bring about from a repub president's position. And I doubt he's serious about them anyway. He certainly can't seriously believe that he can end all wars and bring all the troops home. I think it's just one of his scams to attract some people. But his ending government involvement in healthcare could certainly happen and he would be fully supported by his republican party. Thereby ending any hope of Americans ever having a chance of having what the rest of the first world takes for granted. That one issue alone should be poison to 99% of the people but for some strange reason it's not? It's a good thing that Ron Paul is never going to be president. Maybe the people who support him feel safe because they subconsciously know that.
  18. Good luck but the only solution is to stop killing them over there so they won't need to kill you over here. You Americans knew that anyway didn't you? We Canadians know it and that's why the majority of us oppose our presense in Afghanistan. It's just that the political right Harper and his cronies don't.
  19. Thanks Manny. I didn't google it either because it's not important. They're all a bunch of hypocrites who would sell their pseudo-souls to the nearest aggressor of the day. And as far as scruples goes, just ask any choir boy!
  20. No Jack, I won't. And the reason why I won't is because by staying neutral I have eliminated any effective argument you could pose against my position. And besides Jack, you would just be more ignorant and insulting toward me if you actually knew how to oppose my opinion. As it is, you haven't the slightest idea and you can do no more than speculate and make a fool of yourself every time you open your cakehole.
  21. Homework for tonight: Find references to gassing of Jews using a lethal gas expressly manufactured for that purpose, then find statistics to show where these gassings took place. Estimates varying by milllions or even hundreds of thousands will be rewarded with a 'Fail' mark. This exercise becomes necessary because holocaust revisionits on this thread are disagreeing with each other to the tune of millions!! revisit the baloney detector again.
  22. Some teenagers should never attempt to spell big words such as multisyllabic and macaroni.
  23. That's not even clever Jack. I said that I had heard the theory, not that it was my theory. over and out Jack.
  24. You were beginning to build credibility right up until you went overboard and mentioned disease. You don't get away with tht jbg. check the baloney detector rules again.
  25. You're not keeping up Jack. At the moment I'm talking to a few loonies who are trying to trivialize the holocaust. I'm taking the side of the believers because it would be wrong to not question their nonsense. I can easily take the other side too if it becomes the believers who start telling tall stories. Pay attention Jack.
