  1. b_c, what on earth are you on about now. the issue is Americans killing each other with their handguns and automatic weapons they need to have because they get some sort of macho or sexual fulfillment out of them. They consider their guns to be an extension of their penis I think?
  2. On Guard, the only part of your post I would disagree with is that you put an economic value on accepting or rejecting the death penalty. That's purely a US approach to the issue. We Canadians are better than that and so I hope that you just slipped up and that's the reason you started worrying about the cost in dollars. But good try anyway, it's one of your best posts I've read on this forum from you!
  3. Try to control your emotions Guyser. your personal attacks against me are only going to serve to lower your own frustration level. And don't be silly, Harper doesn't ask people to get a gun, his program of turning Canada into the 51st. state is more subtle than that. And as to your personal attacks, I've reported those in hopes that maybe you'll hear about it! Of course, if there's anything else you would like to discuss on a sane and rational level, I'll be here for as long as I can. Just try to tone it down a bit. thanks!
  4. Grouping all Muslims together is an ethnic slur that we Canadians need to rise above Michael. The idea of them all being the same in that regard is invalid and repugnant in the extreme. We must never fear censorship for telling the truth. No matter who is offended by the truth.
  5. It's sad when a person's makeup is influenced by bullying. It shouldn't happen but in fact it does. Then it becomes a real problem when such a person as Harper gets into a position of power and makes decisions based on that personal experience that formed part of his personality. Consider this, If a child is indoctrinated at childhood into believing in religious superstition, then he will become almost powerless to escape that indoctrination in adult life. And that's not to say that some don't but to point out that the degree and level of indoctrination varies with individuals. Being bullied and religious indoctrination are just two of the childhood traumas that go to make up a conservative. There are others. The need for guns in the US street is a direct reflection of the gungoon's level of cowardice. It's just a fact that they fear others and for that reason they need to carry their handguns. And don't confuse this with the legitimate use of guns. That sort of use of guns can most likely escape scrutiny. Well, sort of anyway. p.s. and I should also warn you again of trying to make this about me. "I'm" not the issue here, it's conservatism.
  6. Hold all countries and countries' leaders to account for signing on to joining the US in their war crimes and crimes against humanity. If it is determined that Clinton's Kosovo campaign was such a crime then none should be able to escape justice. I must have told you a hundred times now that that tactic is not a defence of a US president. I will never stoop to the level of accepting that it could be. You choose your level of personal integrity and I'll choose mine
  7. No Boges, she shouldn't go to jail in my opinion and if we hold to our Canadian system of justice then most judges could comfortably find that way. It's when judges are forced to deal out punishment in accordance with strict demands of Conservatives and the Harper government that we run into problems. She deserves punishment for the crime she committed. Why are any having a problem with this concept? The most useful purpose this thread can serve now is to stay on the topic of judges being allowed to use discretion.
  8. The problem is marcus, US CIA agent Pelletiere investigated the gassings at Halabja and determined that the chem weapons used were only being used by the Iranians. So that makes the question one of whether he lied or not. If he lied then it was to cover up the fact that the US supplied Iraq with the weapons. This was originally uncovered by Jude Wanniski who was an advisor to the Reagan admin. But the point that needs to be considered is that only weapons which the US doesn't use itself on civilian populations as well as military personnel are declared weapons of mass destruction. Everybody here can read the term and understand what it means. It means, weapons that are capable of causing mass destruction. Far too many people have been hoodwinked by US propaganda. And it's not coincidental that most of those people are those in Canada who support Harper. Harper lies to the Canadian people in his effort to push along the US propaganda effort. So let's get back to the basics: Which country waged a war on a relatively small and defenceless country on false pretences? Which country uses wmd's and then made up lies to say that the other smaller country possessed wmd's? When we establish that truth then we will also know which country's ex-leader should be tried in the Hague for crimes against humanity and then hung by his heels from the nearest lamppost and shot full of holes?
  9. smallc, she is guilty of a crime and there's not doubt about that. If we in Canada continue to use sensible forms of punishment then we will continue without having a problem dealing with crime. If we follow Harper's lead then we will become no better than the land of the gun to our south. Let's, as Canadians, try to understand the distinctions between different degrees of the same crime and let judges treat them accordingly.
  10. There was no criminal intent and that's not so hard to understand for Canadians. So the main message is, we don't want to follow the rabid right CPC logic that tries to take discretion out of the hands of judges. The crime varies so much that no one punishment suits all. Only extremist righties would have trouble understanding that. I don't think this forum has any Canadians as extremist as that but I think many, if not a majority of Americans are that extremist that they won't be able to comprehend the obvious. That's their issue but as Canadians we need to understand that Harper and his rabid right conservative lackies in parliament are eager to adopt something similar to US style justice. Just ask a conservative!
  11. jacee, the rules are evolving and so anytime you think you see a violation of the rules by me, be aware that at that particular time I can show you violations of the rules by some others which I've reported and have not receive a response on.
  12. This is funny! Indeed b_c could be totally right and this is nothing more than a r.c. aircraft and a great big over reaction. But in fairness to the OP, there's no harm in guarding against Harper's complicity with US domestic spy tactics which will only harm our Canadian way of life. But on drones explicitly, are they necessary and if so then are they only necessary because the world is now full of aggrevied people who are seeking revenge against US aggression. Do we want that to be our Canadian way of life and our problem too. Harper and his cromies have to go!
  13. jacee, at the time of my posting this would have been within the rules of this forum. You'll need to check the time and date of the posts against the current rules if you are going to make charges against others. Thanks for the help in grasping the rules as they become the rules. Any help on keeping up to date with the moving target is appreciated.
  14. There's little doubt on who you are referring to there on Guard, and so that too becomes a violation of the new rules set out by our mod.
  15. Big guy, Pay no heed to the call for US style violence with guns. This is Canada. And chances are that this could be handled in a civilized manner anyway if we didn't have Harper and his cronies in control. We simply tell the US that drones aren't welcome in our country and neither is spying on the privacy of Canadians. If Harper wasn't totally intimidated by the US and it's blackmail tactics he would put an end to this tomorrow. Or just wait until you see a picture of your wife sunbathing in the privacy of your backyard and then you'll underatand that US influence has become over the top and all pervasive. In other words, thanks Stephen Harper for betraying the ideals of your fellow Canadians!
  16. I haven't got the slightest idea of what you are babbling on about. Take your complaints up with the moderators and stop spamming me with your garbage.
  17. But there is such a rule and I've quoted it directly. Don't spam me with your complaints, ask the moderators.
  18. They're very sensible rules but if you disagree with them you should talk to one of the moderators about it. Don't complain to me.
  19. to comment on such asinine comments would be below my dignity. God save Great Britain and their queen. LOL
  20. There's little doubt that the promise of the future is China and Russia. The US economy is soon be be eclipsed by China and there's little doubt that China is now cooperating militarily with Russia. They will come together more and more to defend themselves against US aggression. They've already effectively stopped the US dead in their tracks in the ME.
  21. Russia doesn't practice apartheid. The only country? whatever they call themselves, that practices apartheid in the world today is the Zionist regime of the ME. South Africa was their model and they even worked in conjunction with South Africa on the practice of apartheid. See Israel/South Africa apartheid relations at Wikipedia.
  22. WestCoastRunner, Please see the rule I have quoted in the support and questions section of the forum. This abuse of the rules by you is intolerable and has been reported.
  23. No, I'm not calling all Canadians complete fools. I'm merely calling for our use of discretion on how we deal with the US. In my opinion it would be prefereable to separate ourselves from increasing trade relations with the US and concentrate more on China or Europe which are not currently involved in crimes against humanity in the ME. Oh, and Russia too!
  24. Please read the reference to the rules of this forum which I have just posted in the applicable section for discussion of such matters. You will find that you are in violation of the rules by once again referring to me and in fact attacking me personally. I choose to not report it this time but will in the future. Thanks for your understanding.
