A crime is being perpetrated on all of us. Yes there is a virus, yes it is bad but by now any rational thinking person should see, the cure is worse than the disease.
I was talking to some old people, they say they'd rather live their life and take their chances with the virus than all this stopping everything. They would take precautions of course, but bein trapped in your apartment andnot allowed to see your friends, go to the places you always do is like being in a prison. They don't have the internet. This is no way for them to end their lives. Think about it.
My daughter is a young adult. She told my wife being alone in her house means no more social contact, no dating, no seeing your boyfriend. She has always had a problem with alcohol but has been off it for 2 years. Now that she's home all the time, she confessed she's started drinking again THhe god damn liquor store remains open.

We have always lived with disease and always managed it as best we can. Today I see a lot of people suddenly wanting to learn more about virology. For those of us who've worked in the medical field for decades, we don't need to learn it. More importantly, there is nothing new happening here that doesn't happen each year. That people are now aware of viruses and what they do, and want to do something about it is fine. That doesn't justify the radical response we are seeing. This is not just my opinion but the opinion of my medical friends and colleagues who are working in the field, will be tomorrow.

If the quarantine does not stop soon this will become a social health disaster. We are in uncharted territory now, alright Mr. fancy talker at the WHO. World Health my arse.

QuoteGovernor Brad Little signed a "proactive emergency declaration" on March 13, when no cases were confirmed.
On March 18, Little announced the state was adopting federal guidelines, which urge people not to gather in groups of more than 10. He has also advised residents not to eat at restaurants.
Those guidelines are not mandatory, but Little said that was subject to change.
"Given the circumstances we have now, we need to do all we can to escalate awareness and preparedness," Little said during a March 15 press conference. "Prepare for the worst-case scenario, but we should also de-escalate alarmism - and that is critical."
Hardly any other political "leader" is interested in addressing the needs of ordinary people.
