  1. Oh for goodness sake. Are you for real?
  2. My point is that violent killings by Muslims garner media coverage unlike any other violent killings. If media covered femicide like they do these type of killings perhaps domestic violence would be reduced I am always confused to the outrage of Muslim killings but not much outrage to domestic killings around the world. You keep speaking about the abhorrent practices towards women from the Islam perspective as if you are a women's right defender. If you are such a defender of women's rights why not start a thread on 'this week in the world of domestic killings'. You won't of course because these type of killings are so normalized and you probably know more about your Islamic victims then any other women around the world. If you are really concerned about women's rights around the world you should really look beyond the Middle East as well.
  3. Anita Vandenbeld, MP for Ottawa West-Nepean, and the former global manager of the 'International Knowledge Network of Women in Politics' was one of the female MP's attending the Mosque. Some of her comments: http://ottawacitizen.com/opinion/columnists/vandenbeld-mps-should-visit-mosques-and-other-places-of-worship-too
  4. Every 6 days a woman in Canada is killed by her intimate partner. 3 women are killed everyday in the U.S. Because of domestic violence Well over 100 women a year are killed in Italy st the hands of a man 1 woman a week is killed by a partner in Australia Each month in New Zealand a woman is killed by her partner In Portugal a woman is killed each week by a partner I think a thread should be started 'men are dangerous to woman'. Then we could go into details of the violent killings because there are too many to mention in this post.
  5. Considering all the negative posts today about Isam, I thought I'd post something pretty hilarious. It is a common theme around women's hygiene products (that they are a secret that no man likes to purchase for their female partners). I never understood that. Mother-daughter text drama about feminine hygiene goes viralI won't post the texts here as there are too many but it is truly a laugh.
  6. Immaculate conception is nonsense. So is Adam and Eve and Noah's ark.
  7. And you probably think her stating a basket of deplorables wasn't planned. It most certainly was. She took a gamble and I think it will pay off in huge dividends. How is trump going to defend his attack on the average American citizen. Get out the popcorn!
  8. The LGBT community has an extraordinarily high rate of suicide due to lack of acceptance in Canada. Canada is not perfect when it comes to acceptance. Many deaths of the LGBT community have been reported from Vancouver to Toronto to Montreal. You can be in denial about our acceptance but ask the LGBT community first before you espouse your opinions. And don't assume that we are any better than the Muslims living in Canada today when it comes to LGBT rights.
  9. What a bunch of bs. This thread is so biased it's ridiculous. I tried to introduce thoughts from 'the other side' but I'm so disillusioned that I can't even bother anymore.
  10. You need to do more research on jobs that Canadians won't do. I'm not going to do it for you or anyone else. I'm done with this thread.
  11. And btw. I do agree that companies that can afford to raise wages should. I am all for raising minimum wage but you guys would be the first to argue against it.
  12. Clearly I have a problem with rbc. I was referring to small businesses who can't find workers. You chose to ignore my posts and twisted them to fit your agenda.
  13. . You completely missed my points or chose just to ignore them. Is middle class seriously eroded because they won't work in agricultural jobs or meat packing plants or clean hotel rooms or serve coffee? Give me a break.
  14. You don't get it. If we don't allow tfw's, small business will go under, our hotel rooms won't get cleaned, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and many other services/goods we take for granted will be gone or insanely expensive. Not to mention the taxes these companies pay to support our health care, education, infrastructure etc. Allowing tfw's is not the end of Canada. The sky will not fall upon Canada, life would still exist as we know it.
  15. So these companies will eventually fold, produce less, pay less taxes and we are out of a good chicken dinner all because we won't let them hire tfw's. Yea makes a lot of sense to me.
  16. That's ridiculous. You want a chicken breast for dinner. Fork over 40.00 a lb.
  17. Lol! You think agricultural companies have the same profit margin as oil companies?
  18. It's not just the money. It's the actual physically demanding work, it's rural, away from their families etc. These jobs just aren't being filled because Canadians don't want the work.
  19. Just one example of jobs that Canadians won't do: Help Wanted: The job crisis in Canadian Agriculture Plenty more jobs go unfilled that Canadians just don't want, regardless of the pay rate.
  20. What argument did I lose? I was asking Argus a question in response to this -> I doubt there'd be a lot of lawyers in Pakistan or Indonesia who would specialize in figuring out the personality tests for Canada immigration. Then you chimed in with this: " -> So you somehow think that people who aren't Canadian should somehow be allowed to fight to become Canadian under the laws of the country they are currently from that has absolutely nothing to do with and no influence at all over our own laws? So in a way another country would be telling us what people we have to take...which would be no more valid or somehow different than if they tried to do that now, in which case we would laugh at them and refuse. Nah, don't think so." You should be able to see why I'm confused as to what argument I lost.
  21. I can speak from experience and not from a study. While I have had fairly fast access to tests when needed, visiting ER or finding a family physician has been brutal. ER wait times are atrocious here in BC and if you move and are trying to find a 'female' physician, it is next to impossible. Going to a walk-in clinic for day to day treatments in most cases results in 3-4 hour waits. Clearly, our system needs major improvements.
  22. Who knows? You are the one that said she was thrown in prison. Did your news media not mention her name?
