It is interesting the way the verdict will be delivered: The Judge must show why she and her two legal advisors reached their decisions. She will give a summary of each of the 37 witnesses and give her assessment of each witness and what was accepted and rejected. It could lead into Friday as well. Domestic violence against women is a far greater issue then killing someone while driving drunk. Far more people die from domestic violence than victims of drunk driving. Especially against women of colour.

Actually I think you are both wrong.The ships were found based on a report from a british dude and he discounted the Inuit's reportings. He was interviewed on cbc radio. It seems the Inuits spotted the 'boats' and not the ships. I will look for that interview.

I was listening to an interview on cbc radio this morning with the minister of finance and one of his responses was that it wouldn't be fair to the other unions to give the teachers what they want. Except, the other unions have committed 8 million in interest free loans to the BCTF in signs of solidarity. I think it's safe to say that he does not have his finger on the pulse on the BC population.

You have no evidence that he hasn't hit her before. In fact, according to statistics of domestic violence, that was not his first time hitting her, especially with the degree of violence and it was most likely not his last time. There are many, many reasons that women do not leave their abuse partners and many reason that they marry and continue to support them. Too many to list here and far too complex an issue. I am, quite frankly, surprised at the responses I am seeing from the men here. They obviously know nothing about the issues of domestic violence.

The countries with the highest total area of degradation since 2000 are Canada, Russia, Brazil, the United States and Bolivia. You missed the first part of the paragraph: IFL existed in 64 countries in year 2013. Most of the world's IFL area is concentrated in a small number of countries - 11 countries contain 90% of the total IFL area. Three countries - Canada, Russia and Brazil - alone contain 65% of the world's entire IFL area and 56% of the total IFL degradation area 2000-2013.

As per usual, judging by the responses, the linked articles were not even read. Besides logging, degradation is also caused by the oil and gas industry and fires caused by human infrastructure. Why should we be concerned about degradation?
