  1. I was listening to David Menzies on The Rebel the other day, and he was commenting on how a public swimming pool in the Toronto area had gone female only for one day a week. Is this right? I this what we call equality? How can a public swimming pool say to men that they cannot go for a swim a certain day of the week? Is this discrimination against an identifiable group? It looks to me like it is. Don't the men in that community pay taxes to help maintain and keep that pool properly maintained and running? Is this a case for the Human Rights Commission then? According to Menzies, he says that the reason for this act of discrimination was to please the muslims who's religion says that women are not allowed to associate with men in certain public areas. So, once again we see that Canada has bent over backwards to please another foreign culture and has given in to the demands of another ethnic group that does not want to become Canadian but wants Canadians to become a part of their culture. Why are these people allowed to come here and start telling Canadians as to how things are going to be done in Canada? Sikhs in BC don't have to wear motorcycle helmets because of their religion, yet the rest of us have too. No Christmas scenes allowed in public schools and government buildings because it may offend some other people and their religions. Now muslims get to tell Canadians that they cannot go swimming with muslim women for one day a week. Who and what religion is net? Why do foreign religions get their way but the Canadian tradition of celebrating Christmas is not allowed in public places? We are told by our fake political leaders that we are to accept all religions and show being tolerant towards others and yet those others show no tolerance towards Canadian Christian traditions and religions. Is it time to put an end to all religions forcing their beliefs on others now? If Christmas is suppose to be offensive to others than muslim only swimming days are offensive also to others, and Sikhs should be force to wear helmets just like everyone else has too. Is this Canada or the rest of the world? Try and go to some muslim country and try forcing your religious beliefs on that country. We all should know by now that will not happen. In some countries they will kill someone who is and practices Christianity. Canadians need to stop being led by the nose by a bunch of multicultural fake politicians and the fake media that keeps telling us that we must be tolerant and understanding and not show being offensive to another culture and their religion. What about those coming here and trying to show intolerance towards our culture and Christian religion. What say you, eh? Do you agree with me or disagree with me? Over.

  5. Ah ok, well 1 year is nothing in the overall scheme of things. You need at least 8-10 to see a trend IMO. And as such, you may be right in your timeframe...

  6. They're an inflammatory Canadian blog. They aren't far-right per sé but give shelter to people who say racist and anti-semitic things. I get my right-wing news from the MSM like the National Post.

  7. But it's typical of the far left. And unlike the far Right, which is shunned by the Conservatives, the far Left is embraced by the NDP. I've spoken of that before. Marxists, Communists and others of their ilk are respected members of academia, unions, artistic groups and of course, politics.

  8. That is disgusting on so many levels. The red colour leaking from the poppy is symbolic of our soldiers bleeding and dying on the battlefield. I'm livid.

  9. Correlation is not causation. Those businesses closed for a variety of reasons. Tens of thousands of business closed in the US too, and all over the west during a period where much manufacturing was offshored to China and other low wage locations. Meanwhile we have very low unemployment, so what exactly was the terrible impact of these lost businesses? It seems other businesses prospered and grew, or new businesses rose to replace the old.

  10. Horvath is basically also saying the same thing for that Hitler supporting NDP bitch. There is a line between black and white, and it's called grey. Then there is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY outside the line. I'm surprised Horvath hasn't fired their sorry asses.

  13. 1) In the short term they likely will, but most will find new employment yes. If their new situation is worse for them, there will be a political price to pay. 2) Yes, but there isn't a 1:1 ratio between robots and robot maintenance people. 3) I didn't mean to pay attention to the details of the business other than to say online businesses are far more lucrative and promising on many levels. 4) Economists tend to agree with you however the short-term political costs are still there.

  14. BAD! This government can't even fix Phoenix payroll system......let alone get into the pipeline business! Justin Trudeau makes me think of a garage-sale junkie! Buying ageing military Aussie warplanes for our own military, http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/fighter-jet-competition-australian-announcement-1.4444466 and now...............buying a 65 year old pipeline for 4 billion - which we could've gotten for FREE!

  16. They are symbiotic, but at the same time they are direct polar opposites. Capitalism makes the money. Socialism spends it. But Socialists seem to despise Capitalism. And Socialism damages the workability of Capitalism. The more Socialism you have, the less Capitalism works. I think you'll find precious few blue Liberals any more. Trudeau pretty much made it clear they aren't welcome in his party. They're just doing what Trudeau showed them was the way to win. By moving so strongly to the Left, they absorb NDP votes and make the NDP irrelevant.

  17. In terms of whether the Liberals will be negatively impacted in the polls over the nationalization of the pipeline I say not at all. In fact, the opposite might be true. "Oh look, Justin and the Liberals are so concerned about protecting Canadian natural resources they bought an oil pipeline." And the sentiment might be even stronger in some parts of the country since Kinder Morgan is an American company. "Way to stick it to the Yanks." From an economic viewpoint it is not a good decision because had the Liberals made sure the rule of law was respected on the ground, not one penny of taxpayers' money would have been needed to build the Trans Mountain extension. Bottom line the Liberals did not have the balls to stand up to the BC government and protesters who now see the feds as wimps and easy to beat down. Opposition and protests against the project will therefore increase and it is doubtful the extension will ever be built. Billions will be paid by the Canadian taxpayers, never to be recouped. Then, there is the impact on Canada's reputation as a place to invest. A country that nationalizes companies, businesses or national resources sends out the signal that it is not guaranteed that private enterprise will flourish in such a climate. Best to invest your money elsewhere. Of course, I hope I'm wrong on all counts and that all will end well and we will have dodged a bullet. Yet, looking at what has happened in Cuba and Venezuela following their tendency to nationalize everything in sight, I am left with a queasy feeling.

  18. 1. It sure would be nice if you moved. Why don't you move to one of those Islamic countries with your wife, if you have one, and go give it a try. Let us know how things are going after a few decades. You seem to think that you can force Canadians to accept other religions and cultures because you were born here. No way, Jose. I will push back on your silly thoughts. 2. I was born here and this is my country too. I will have my opinion whether you are thrilled by it or not. At least I can say that I am a Canadian patriot who will stand up for Canada and it's values, traditions and way of life, and not give in to other foreign cultures and religions as you appear to want to have us all do and accept. That does not work for me.

  19. It's a public pool and should not be discriminating. You can say 'women only' but we all know this is 'muslim women only'. I highly doubt some girl in a bikini would be made to feel welcome on these particular days. And Muslim women don't like being gawked at? Well Muslim men love gawking at women. We certainly know that from experience. There were riots a few years back in Australia about that, and women I know have complained about groups of young Muslim men walking up and down the beach staring rudely at the girls and making them feel uncomfortable.
