kuzadd Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I though scott said it! Guess he's in good company, eh? lol, lol, lol Quote Insults are the ammunition of the unintelligent - do not use them. It is okay to criticize a policy, decision, action or comment. Such criticism is part of healthy debate. It is not okay to criticize a person's character or directly insult them, regardless of their position or actions. Derogatory terms such as "loser", "idiot", etc are not permitted unless the context clearly implies that it is not serious. Rule of thumb: Play the ball, not the person (i.e. tackle the argument, not the person making it).

BC_chick Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) Thanks Scott for demonstrating once again how there is nothing but a fine line between far right social conservatives and fundamental islamics. Your quiz reminds me of a website a while back dedicated to "who said it - Bush or Bin laden" and it was equally challenging to discern between some of the quotes on that site. The biggest irony of your little "poll" here is that according to the lot of you... Xenophobes here = good and natural human sentiments. Xenophobes in the middle-east (especially circa 1880-1948 regarding pre-Israel Jewish immigration) = barbaric backward savages. Too bad you can't see the other parallels you share together. Meanwhile moderate muslims and liberal westerners are paying the price for the cancer that social conservatism is to both societies. Edited October 7, 2007 by BC_chick Quote It's kind of the worst thing that any humans could be doing at this time in human history. Other than that, it's fine." Bill Nye on Alberta Oil Sands

It's unfortunate that you can't discern the intent of the poll, and instead conjure up another strawman. I'm not suggesting that he's wrong in any way. In fact I think he's quite right. He's quite within his rights to say what he said, don't you think? It may be "racist", xenophobic" and all those other cute polysyllabisms, but so what? It's his country, right? Shouldn't he have the right to keep it the way he and his citizens want? I await your reply, explaining why people ought not have the right to choose who lives in their countries, and why they ought not have the right to keep their culture. You most certainly have the right to choose these things. Unfortunatly, you refuse to recognize that you are not the only one with the right. I have the right to choose the very things you reject (massive immigration). Thus democracy and voting... Quote A bayonet is a tool with a worker at both ends

Do you really think that this is a good model for Canada to follow ? Bahrain is also a society, regardless of how it's governed. If democracies are the only legitimate political bodies in your mind, then clearly most of the world deserves to be invaded and set right, or at the very least disallowed from the UN. Moxie Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Heaven forbid we the unwashed masses get to decide on the future of this country, we elect an MP and that's good enough for the left. However these skanks do what's best for their party and deem those who voted for them Persona non-grata. We the little people shouldn't be making waves, the liberals and socialist in Canada know what's best for us. These elitest crave power like crack, god help us if they regain power. They've been screaming since Harper took power, the "Sky is falling" and "Facist" how are they any different? They commence committing social science experiments on society but never explain why they do it lest we offend the lab rat.
