At a reception that was decidedly upscale and beyond the reach of the average Democratic voter, Al Gore's daughter got married at a lavish Beverly Hills ceremony. On the menu at the "rehearsal dinner" was the endangered chilean sea bass (link to article about wedding and about fish's endangered status) , for 75 people.

If anyone thinks that Al Gore would provide leadership that any sane person could respect, think again.

The youngest of Al Gore's three daughters, Sarah Gore, 28, married businessman Bill Lee in Beverly Hills on Saturday, family spokesperson Kalee Kreider confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride, who is taking her husband's last name, wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier at the wedding, which took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Willie Nelson performed at the reception, according to a family friend who was there and described it as "a great party."

"As one person joked during the wedding toasts, global warming helped bring Sarah and Bill together," the family friend tells PEOPLE.

The Gore family hosted a rehearsal dinner for 75 family and friends the previous evening at Beverly Hills' Crustacean restaurant, a longtime favorite of the Gores.

Executive chef Helene An created a six-course tasting menu that included Chilean sea bass and roasted crab.

The Marine Stewardship Council declared that a small Chilean fishery is now harvesting Chilean sea bass sustainably; Whole Foods now sells Chilean sea bass only from this certified fishery.

Yes, the U.S. would still have a surplus, thousands of dead soldiers would still be alive, Halliburton would only be making moderate profits, the environment would be on its way to recovery, the American dollar would be strong and not comparable to the peso, the U.S. would be safer from terrorism than it is now, and the empire would be growing rather than rapidly falling into the toilet.

Your anti-American attitudes are kind of over-the-top though. They are largely a good country. You shouldn't celebrate their failures.

The November 2004 press release announcing the launch of the firm included the following quote from Gore:

Your link seems to be possibly for and against harvesting the sea bass. At any rate, it is still a bad message for an Al Gore to be cramming his cake hole with a certain fish when it's only been recently harvested with this sustainability. Why not a variety that the environmentalists are not concerned of?
