Who's Doing What? Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 HAhaha They're funny. The Cross dressing one is even true. LPC v. CPC. I can't tell the difference. Can you tell the difference? Quote Harper differed with his party on some key policy issues; in 1995, for example, he was one of only two Reform MPs to vote in favour of federal legislation requiring owners to register their guns. http://www.mapleleafweb.com/election/bio/harper.html "You've got to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from eastern Canada: people who live in ghettoes and who are not integrated into western Canadian society." jdobbin Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 http://hi.im.a.liberal.ca/video.aspx?ad=carbonbudgetMy favourite was the cross-dressing one. They are all over the network sites. I think they may have been seen by more people than if the Liberals had made a radio or TV buy. Quote
Michael Bluth Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 The term "circle jerk" is sometimes used as a metaphor. It refers to a situation, often in the workplace, politics, online or academia, where people are stroking each other's ego without producing anything of value. Have the three of you satisfied yourself with this thread??? Quote No one has ever defeated the Liberals with a divided conservative family. - Hon. Jim Prentice

It must be an awful thing that the Liberal ads for less than $2000 bucks get all the attention while the Tory ads that have a much higher costs are barely mentioned. Quote

Yup, those ads are getting lots of attention. Probably a 10x bigger bang for the bucks than the Conservatives got. Too bad the Conservatives can afford to outspend the Liberals by a factor of 1000:1. Pretty gentle ads when you get right down to it. We've probably seen more biting ones from Royal Canadian Air Farce. Michael Bluth Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 I loved the global warming one. LOLOLOL Hiti you proved the beauty of those ads, for the Conservatives. The only people who have seen them are political hacks, undoubtedly from all parties. Liberals will love them. Conservatives will hate them. Nobody will change their vote as a result. hiti Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Ah gee, Michael. I heard about the ads on the MacLeans web site. Guess they're liberal too. And what's to hate... except that they neutralize Steve's nasty, nasty attempts to win a majority. Maybe he should try wearing a wig. There readers are all well informed and have strong party loyalties. Kinda makes sense, people with a strong interest in news and politics reading Canada's leading magazine about news and politics. You can't be interested in politics and be undecided at the same time? Quote Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. geoffrey Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 http://hi.im.a.liberal.ca/video.aspx?ad=carbonbudgetMy favourite was the cross-dressing one. A little bit scary scary on the cross-dressing one. I'm sure the Liberals must have a policy other than 'we aren't conservatives' somewhere?!? I'd certainly like to have something to vote for, why not sell me on something cool if your going for the youth vote... Insulting those that your trying to win over by making them seem like big nerds isn't exactly a wise marketing decision. If the Liberals ever want a majority again, they need to win people like me over... lumping me with the backwoods hicks in the party sure isn't going to convince me to vote for you! Anyways, your right, the ads are cute. It's always great to see naive people think the worlds solutions are so easy!! "Just follow Kyoto..." Just... ya... sure... Cute, yes. Winning votes? Nahhh. Didn't win mine. Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --
hiti Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 You weren't ever gonna vote liberal anyway. And these ads were to contradict the nasties coming from Steve. Quote "You cannot bring your Western standards to Afghanistan and expect them to work. This is a different society and a different culture." -Hamid Karzai, President of Afghanistan June 23/07
geoffrey Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 You weren't ever gonna vote liberal anyway. I actually really wanted to, then you elected Dion and haven't produced a single reasonable policy since. I am the exact market of people that the Liberals need to win over to gain a majority. I'm not a social conservative (in fact, I don't even consider social policy), I'm an urban 20-something that could be categorised as a yuppie type, anti-war and pro-humanitarian and I'm completely politically independant and pragmatic, I have no loyalty to any party. If you can't win over my vote, your not going to win an election. I won't be supporting the CPC either by the way. I'll likely spoil my ballot or vote for something ridiculous rather than support either Harper's massive government ideals or Dion's joke that they call a political party.
