Figleaf Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 And lest I pass by a chance to drive a taunt home, I suspect you weren't quite so forgiving of the Reform Party at the time. I rather suspect you labelled the entire party "extremist". Am I right? So what IS it with the drive by taunts? Anyway, oh lord, here we go again, no, you are wrong. I always had an appreciation for the Reform accountability/democratic deficit thing. I felt some of their remedies were wrongheaded (referenda), and some trickier than they seemd to think (senate reform), but they were right about the problems. Unfortunately, as time went by, the party's evolution drew it away from this part of it's thinking and way off into rightwingdom. Now under Steve it's just Mike Harris, or Margaret Thatcher recycled for Ottawa. Quote

sharkman Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 In light of the revelation that Elizabeth May has some pretty far out ideas about Nazis, it's interesting to note that I don't think she ever did anything about this incident in Vancouver except say she wanted to talk to him first hand and hear his story. Apparently they have some things in common - kooky theories. Quote
noahbody Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Dude.... the Greens are in the spotlight because of the CPC suddenly realizing that we can't wait for 50 years for companies to stop poisoning the earth in the name of profit.... Harper has made the enviroment an issue. No, it was the media, opposition parties and propaganda. Quote
hiti Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Stop the gerbil wheel........ Kevin Potvin is not, I repeat - is not a Green candidate. He was not approved by his leader Ms May and this has absolutely nothing to do with Dion. Quote "You cannot bring your Western standards to Afghanistan and expect them to work. sharkman Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 That's funny, the CBC thinks he IS a Green Paryt candidate. "When the second tower came down the same way, that little voice said, 'Beautiful!' "When the visage of the Pentagon appeared on the TV with a gaping and smoking hole in its side … I felt an urge to pump my fist in the air." Quote
