newbie Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Poor Georgie. Now he's got to veto the bill from the House regarding troop withdrawal. I like how he positioned military and their families behind him while reading his speech at the press conference. It will be interesting to see how the Democratic majority will react. Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 I'm just a bill. Yes, I'm only a bill. And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill. Well, it's a long, long journey To the capital city. It's a long, long wait While I'm sitting in committee, But I know I'll be a law someday At least I hope and pray that I will, But today I am still just a bill. - Dave Frishberg Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

He has two choices. Veto the bill or to let the bill stand and face the fact that the military will have to start cutting back somewhere if they continue to fight in Iraq. Quote
newbie Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 I think it was very obvious from his press conference that he will not accept the bill as is. He was playing the blame game to the hilt. Quote

obsidian Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 he said he would veto any bill regarding the withdrawl of troops. and cheney, thats a nice poem, but how is it relevant? and as of now, bush can literally do anything he wants(the patriot act). Quote

How is it relevant? Sure is fun to watch some Canadians guess how American government actually works. 'Course now, Americans don't give a damn how Canadians do it, and don't give a damn that they don't give a damn. I'm only a bill..... PS. If you were an older American, you would recognize that "poem" instantly. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

I recognize that poem from a cartoon that used to be on tv when i was a kid in the 70s and 80s. cant recall the name of it. interesting thing is is that most of the world has no clue how the american system works. is it pay off the house first, the corporations second, and then the evangelists, or is it the other way around to get a bill passed? its just all so confusing.... That's because the CRTC didn't ban American media back then (SchoolHouse Rock). The American system works for Americans; Canadians hava a different system called Adscam.
