]I don't equate the two, but the term 'deniers' is out there and used because the holocaust is usually the first thing people think of when they here that term. It's optics and perception which is working.

only those bent upon distortion and fabrication, on casting doubt and uncertainty... would even attempt the equate, as you do. Sorry, you'll need to reach for something other than the American Stinker rag

clearly, Altaboy... I would think you'd prefer to offer your profound insight and knowledge on the debate subject... it's unfortunate you've found solace in the lazy man's drive-by

I don't debate with fanatics.

drive on by, Altaboy... drive on by

What part of - I don't equate the two - didn't you get? It is the GW warmists who are using the label to smear and cast doubt on the skeptics.

I don't know what the American Stinker rag means or is.

oh really

Labelling people deniers is a good ploy, it's intent is to denigrate and to put them on a par with holocaust deniers.

it was your above statement that turned the latest discussion to the equate you seem to suggest you don't actually make... clearly... your ends justified your means. The American Stinker rag is the one you quoted from.

Altaboy - I defer to your famous quote cut&paste prowess... Winston Churchill, no less. I'm whipped, I'm done! Clearly, I acknowledge your ignorance and accept that

Ah. so the skeptics aren't calling cc proponents "liars," "greedy whores," "fraudsters," and so on.

Nope, never.

no irony, whatsoever... read it again, I most purposely, most pointedly, attached the ignorance where it belongs - I rightfully acknowledged you and attributed accordingly. If only you could get beyond quote mining and actually contribute to the debate based on the debate subject - what a concept!

What in the sentence " I don't debate with fanatics" do you not understand?

you rarely, if ever (?) have contributed anything to any of the numerous climate change related threads. You shouldn't be afraid to engage in meaningful discourse/debate, regardless where it originates. Labeling anyone you don't agree with a 'fanatic' is a non-starter... you shouldn't feel threatened by your apparent lack of knowledge and understanding related to AGW climate change.

I would think that bothering to respond at all, the anorexic nature of this repeated response aside, constitutes some sort of discourse. What you are doing is saying, over and over, "I'm not talking to you"...an assertion contradicted by its very existence.

deniers pride themselves in throwing the "alarmist" tag. Anyway, this latest bunch to jump in, clearly, would rather avoid anything to do with the actual topical discussion... concentrating instead on their combative fall-back that a lack of knowledge and understanding brings forward. They seem perplexed that anyone would dare to sink to their standards and call them on it - go figure!

What meaningful discourse do you actually believe by posting here on AGW you are contributing something to society?

All that you are accomplishing on this forum is expanding your carbon foot print by running your computer, and every minute you spend responding to me your foot print is getting bigger and bigger, or are you buying offsets to make this forum conversation carbon neutral?

No it doesn't mean I will not talk to you it means I will not engage in meaningful debate on AGW with any fanatics as it will accomplish nothing.

too bad so sad for being politically correct drama queen, I don't care...the analogy stands, illogical denial in face of overwhelming evidence = deniers...

Sorry but you basically completely lost the argument. You can use the term "denier" all you want since that in itself just means someone who denies something, but you specifically brought up the Holocaust. Appealing to such atrocities to lend weight to your position on global warming is pure folly.

It is precisely people like you why so many others refuse to believe in global warming. No matter the strength of the evidence for it, having some idea forced down their throats by a rabid fanatic makes people resist it all the harder. You do more harm to your "cause" than any "denier" ever could.

oh snap! Let's all turn off our puters... - Google responds to the continued bizzaro-world lazy dishonest journalism from British, ahem... tabloid "journalist" Jonathan Leake:

The Sunday Times clarified its article on the energy consumed by a Google search, accepting our calculation that a single search accounts for about 0.2g of carbon. That means a typical individual's Google use for an entire year would produce about the same amount of CO2 as just a single load of washing.

Altaboy... just don't wash your clothes for a week - you'll be ok!

I have no issues my energy consumption but then again I don't advocate like you.

the level of denierism is the same, irrational and illogical...the crimes of the humanity are no sacred cow that can't be mentioned in conversation...

when people are acting illogical and stupid, driven merely by partisan politcs they need to have their noses rubbed into it...I've no worries offending those types as they will never change regardless of the evidence in front of them...
