Frogger43 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Al Gore is the darling of the politically correct. They have nominated him for an Oscar for his fictional film, An Inconvenient Truty and now have nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize. If they wish to nominate him for a Nobel Prize shouldn't it be in Science. That seems the most appropriate prize since there is no prize called, the Nobel Darling of the Liberals Prize. What Albert Gore has done has nothing what-so-ever to do with peace. If a point were to be stretched his actions might be considered in the field of science. Maybe the prize is offered because of the sum total of his work; soliciting illegal campaign contributions, inventing the internet, being the inspiration for the movie, Love Story and showing all Ameriocans how to be distasteful by planting a big, slobbery, wet one on Tipper on national television. Frogger43 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 The liberals constantly whine about Florida but in their whining they conveniently ignore the fact that it was the SCOF and not the SCOTUS that tried to change the rules in mid-election. They forget that it was the Democrats who tried to keep the men and women who were serving their country overseas from having their absentee ballots counted. They also ignore the fact that the MSM reported the polls closed an hour before they closed in Western Florida, thereby influencing the voting by keeping voters in the historically Republican part of the state from voting. Guthrie Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 only right wingers are whining in this thread --- it tears them up that Al Gore is nominated for a Nobel Prize, while shrub is nominated for a war crimes trial Quote “Most middle-class whites have no idea what it feels like to be subjected to police who are routinely suspicious, rude, belligerent, and brutal” - Benjamin Spock MD
Canadian Blue Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Bush is going to a war crimes trial, never heard that one. I think people on the far left and far right are both equally retarded. But in anycase, I think Gore deserves to be rewarded the nobel prize for helping educating many of global warming. Global Warming is a real problem, and according to the mainstream scientific community it is as well. Quote "Keep your government hands off my medicare!" - GOP activist

sharkman Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 only right wingers are whining in this thread --- it tears them up that Al Gore is nominated for a Nobel Prize, while shrub is nominated for a war crimes trial Really, it's no big deal that Gore is nominated, or even if he wins. Just as long as he stays out of the white house. BTW, I'm curious, what did they nominate him for, his internet invention? Quote
Guthrie Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 he won the White House too, it was a major failure of US democracy that he didn't become president and only numbnuts still pass around that internet insult lie Quote “Most middle-class whites have no idea what it feels like to be subjected to police who are routinely suspicious, rude, belligerent, and brutal” - Benjamin Spock MD
sharkman Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Now I'm confused, I thought I was a right wing reactionary. I can't keep all these names straight! And I thought we figured out how Gore lost the White House already (aside from silly claims like inventing the internet) with the realization that you're only allowed so many recounts before it becomes a kangaroo election South American style. The Supreme Court says so. Quote

(aside from silly claims like inventing the internet) with the realization that you're only allowed so many recounts before it becomes a kangaroo election South American style. The Supreme Court says so. you'll have to show me where he made, "silly claims like inventing the internet" and you'll have to show where The Supreme Court has authority over elections, as well perhaps you should study American History Quote “Most middle-class whites have no idea what it feels like to be subjected to police who are routinely suspicious, rude, belligerent, and brutal” - Benjamin Spock MD

Guthrie, this is the post where, when you said SCOTUS had no business interfering in the US election, I mentioned that SCOTUS only became involved after the Florida Court foisted themselves on the issue. Most lefties had no problem when the Florida court ruled in favour of the recounts, they only got riled up when SCOTUS ruled against the repeated recounts. Which is a hypocritical position to take. As to Gore and the net, thank goodness he made that claim, otherwise he might have won the white house. Quote
