Alliance Fanatic Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Say, the people at Babble, probably believe that Sept. 11, was a right wing conspiracy. Those people should be sent off to Cuba, and live in their socialist paradise. Quote "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others" - George Orwell's Animal Farm

Kiraly Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I'm not entirely sure how the delegate process worked within the PCPC, but I don't believe the fact that Orchard had 25% of the delegates necessarily means he has the support of 25% of the membership. I thought Orchard's support came from weak PC areas in the west where you could recruit smaller numbers of members and secure a higher proportion of delegates. Can anyone clarify? Quote
Pellaken Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 we are going back to politics in th 80's and 70's 2.5 parties 2 that do well and an NDP that takes 30-40 seats, and holds the BoP in minority governments Quote
Mr. Chater Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Hmmm. I don't think you're making observations at all. I think you are making comments directed against the new party. Boy, you really must be scared. It didn't take you half a day to try to put in your two cents worth. Dnsfurlan, I AM making observations! I'm observing that the new party has a long way to go before it is viable. It took you even less to praise it to the heavens. Springer, Having Harper as leader of the new party would guarantee a Liberal landslide. If it is perceived in any way that this is a CA takeover of the Tories, only Martin will benefit. The most visible way to create this perception is to have Harper as the leader of the new party. i myself believe that the people are tired of having Mackay and Harper. Because of all the nonsense baying about each other and whining, i think they want a new face. An experienced face, much like Mike Harris for example. Quote
Goldie Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 Assuming the Tory-Alliance merger goes ahead, what political party are you most likely to vote for in the next federal election? The last numbers Conservative 37% Liberals 28% NDP 32% Or see for your self. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/GIS...bhub=VoteResult Quote
Mr. Chater Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Very nice, if indeed the Polls stay like that, it would be nice. If Conservatives would pull up even more of a percentage, it would be nicer. Right now, it is a little close. Quote
