They are there to run the metal detectors and screen people while being surrounded by tons of other dudes with guns. They are not trained to respond to shooters; they are not armed or equipped to do so. Hell, just presuming that the likely SOP on a response is for them to just get out of the way and let all the other heavily armed, trained LEO respond to any threat. I do not fault them for acting like this at all. Quote
