August1991 Posted April 12 Report Posted April 12 1. If you are working, have any income - delay OAS to 70. Otherwise, I would take it at 65 or ASAP. Note: OAS is based on years in Canada. 2. CPP/RRQ payments are complicated. 2a. I knew a Russian woman who took the money and ran. She gets about $110 monthly. 2b. I started to receive mine (RRQ) when I was 63. But I still contribute. Quote

I have a medical condition that might shorten my life and the length of time I get to enjoy the fruits of my labour so it made sense to start collecting it. Eyeball is a good example of someone who should take it early.
