1. If you are working, have any income - delay OAS to 70.

Otherwise, I would take it at 65 or ASAP.

Note: OAS is based on years in Canada.

2. CPP/RRQ payments are complicated.

2a. I knew a Russian woman who took the money and ran. She gets about $110 monthly.

2b. I started to receive mine (RRQ) when I was 63. But I still contribute.

I took mine at 60. I have a medical condition that might shorten my life and the length of time I get to enjoy the fruits of my labour so it made sense to start collecting it. I'm still working, earning more than ever and contributing so...it works for me.

This sort of blanket advice is poor guidance. 

Taking CPP early or delaying depends on each individual.  Eyeball is a good example of someone who should take it early.

I entirely agree, Moonbox.

But since men die young, I generally suggest them to take CPP early.
