John Stone Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 ....... most would agree that the world is likely on the verge of great changes - generational changes. If these changes come to pass and as history reflects these changes will be the squibs. Like water flowing over a smooth cement floor the direction and flow is very uncertain. Who would argue that the West is sowing the wind. Might be a very rough ride ............................. for the next generation. Quote

You can look back at a huge number of empires that fell over the years including Rome and someone and so forth and you see a similar pattern. John Stone Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 I would agree that if the U.S. is in decline it will be eaten last and likely from within. 1 Quote

How could they hope to go to war with the low level of faith in the current administration, and in the government generally ? They are disunified, and it was done by media in order to garner profits, among other agents. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner

Great Britain is a shadow of its former self and so is Japan. I mean technically Rome still exists but you wouldn't call it an empire would you You need to learn to read a book Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."

You know WWII… That was not the death of the British Empire. Again read a book. And while it was an end to Japanese imperialism it wasn't actually an end to the Japanese empire which had already fallen in the past. See my previous comment regarding books Then there's the Chinese Empire, roman empire, Byzantine, spanish empire for sure, many others and if you look at how they fell and when they fell and the events leading up to it you begin to notice a pattern Except the Mongols. The Mongol seem to be the exception to literally everything in history. I have no idea why Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."

I’m not a great book reader myself these days but I do recall that when and why empires fall is frequently a matter of great debate among historians. 1 Quote ‘How small we make our worlds.
