Flaubert famously re-read, corrected, rewrote. He never finished Madame Bovary.

Woody Allen famously never watched his movies.

Balzac pissed text. Like Oates, he described an era.

Which Oates?

French, Russian, American literature.

African Art and Music.

Asian Philosophy.

Was Madame Bovary one of the Two Fat Ladies?
And who was Ballsack? Was he from the Russian revolution era during the struggles between the Ballsheviks and the Menstruviks?

Joyce Carol Oates. Like Balzac, Sidney Sheldon, Dickens, she supposedly described an era.

Unlike Balzac and Dickens, I managed to read only one Sheldon or Oates novel.
