It's practically renewable (for canadians anyway).  And it's safer than any other permanent reliable source of power.

Its genius. There is no 'renewable' energy source the way you mean it that is reliable. The sun sets.  Wind stops. we've seen the results.  Thee is no effective storage of electricity right now. 

So nuclear power provides a perfect emissions free alternative that runs 24 7  every day of the year, is safer than any other reliable energy source, and can be placed anywhere. 

It would make the whole 'carbon' problem go away for good.  Which is why you hate it.  You don't care about climate change, you care about having something to be angry about.

Nuclear is in now way renewable, but we have shitloads of fuel in Canada. So much so tha if Moe was like Danielle he's be squealing that Ottawa was strangling Sask. etc, etc.

My point is that nuclear is not cheap and it is not fast and the promise of what could come in the future is being used to prevent and delay what can be done now.
Want nuclear? Then may I suggest a real one, there's a hollowed mountain near Kitimat from the abandoned Kemano II project. Put it there in the hollowed mountain way far away from any population. Big deal if the worst case happened would be moosicorns and six toed Kermode bears.
So I'm not anti-nuclear, just against not doing any alternatives that could be done cheaper and faster.

Folks like you on the left have been opposing Nuclear power for 50 years + and doing everything you can to hamper it, overregulate it, and drive up those costs. 

It is not cheaper or faster to replace the entire grid using oil/coal with renewables, which has been in progress for decades.

Bullshit. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than it used to be and it absolutely is commercially viable.  And we're talking about 5 years or so, it's quite arguably less time than building a hydro power plant. 

But as predicted the lefties desperately come up with fake reasons to hate it because it would ACTUALLY solve a problem and they don't REALLY want that.
