gatomontes99 Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 https://www.cnn.com/election/2025 Both races in Florida are called for the Republicans. Guess there isn't a lot of buyer's remorse. This is after the democrats poured tons of money into both races. Way to waste that money Dems. 1 Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. If they can't refute the content, attack the poster. If 1 and 2 fail, pretend it never happened. Everyone you disagree with is Hitler. A word is defined by the emotion it elicits and not the actual definition. If they are wrong, blame the opponent. If a liberal policy didn't work, it's a conservatives fault and vice versa. If all else fails, just be angry.

It's pretty much all they do when you think about it. lol Quote
Nationalist Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 So...Wisconsin got a Libbie judge for Trump to ignore...and the Republicans got a more solid majority. Good. Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
SpankyMcFarland Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 What matters in general elections is who wins. What usually matters more in special elections, or by-elections, is the swing. America is one of the few democracies with only two big parties. This is problematic for many reasons but at least makes swing assessments between them easy. And the swing in these Florida elections was significant. Any Republican politician who won by less than 15 points will be taking interest and wondering quietly whether Trump’s real agenda of tariff taxes, chainsaw cuts to government and antagonizing every friendly country on earth is really for them. Believe it or not this is one area where someone smarter actually got through to Trump. They pulled the Stefanik nomination for UN Ambassador because they knew that with the mess he's made, Republicans were unlikely hold that seat in NY if she left. They can barely hold non-competitive Florida districts, so they are currently in trouble anywhere competitive. 1 Quote

We are not a democracy. You need to understand that. A democracy is majority rule, rights be damned. We are a republic. Rights are more important than majority opinion. 3 hours ago, Hodad said: Believe it or not this is one area where someone smarter actually got through to Trump. Lmao...a 15 point win in districts where they were outspent 20:1 and you spin that as they barely won? Are you fùcking kidding me? 1 Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. If they can't refute the content, attack the poster.
